Definitely one innovation I wish we adopted in America. But we had a high trust society for most of the past few centuries which is why we don't have one. You only build something like that if you have an entire civilization with low trust. So much so that you know you can't trust anyone about what they say, so you have to have an unchangeable record that follows them forever to not waste time on their attempts to lie to you.

A book worth reading. The author here didn't want anyone to know his name. Hence the title, but publishers of the 20th century being what they were he had to. The author was a Brahmin caste from Calcutta in the early 20th century. The dude was relatively wealthy for the time. He later emigrated to London. His books became blacklisted in India after the Independence because he had a positive opinion of the Raj. Which had become a taboo opinion.

Just consider his circumstances. He was wealthy and grew up in a palace with mud floors. His parents were proud they could afford to have their MUD FLOORS wet and shaped daily so they were "clean." As only poor people had mud floors with grass sticking out of it. He found it odd that British WORE SHOES because how could you even feel the earth then? He documents his profound ignorance of the time and how much better literally every single thing British was compared to India. Even animals such as the donkey were entirely unknown in Calcutta at the turn of the 20th century.

For this crime he was shunned entirely in his later life.

i would say that was a phenomenon only after 1950, and a short lived one at that. average people getting swindled in all manner of schemes and getting scammed out of their life savings was common up until the FDIC put an end to that.

it took enormous amounts of state intervention and coordination with industry to create the prosperity to stop americans from being at each others' throats all the time. the default for most nations and cultures isn't high trust, it's a low trust rape and run society like india.

A terrifying number of people do not even follow what particular candidates are running on and just check the R or D box based off vaguely preconceived ideas of what that party is about.

You should really have to do a pop quiz about a handful of what each candidate's policies are before being able to cast a vote.

I'm inclined to agree; and I'll add that it is exactly like trust itself, in the sense that it takes a lot to build it and very little to destroy it.
The same applies to desirable societies in general, and the realization how fragile our comfortable way of life is made me absolutely despise most forms of leftism, along with corporate greed.

They seem to think that "whiteness" like money, is something you can access by doing certain things, and that white people unfairly hoard it for ourselves. But it's just who you are genetically and the western country you're born in. If you don't have that then you're not going to have the good life rub off on you by forcibly being housed in a previously nice neighborhood.

You guys weren't kidding when it comes to Poojeets wrecking Google search. I haven't used Google in years but a laptop I was fixing had it as the default browser and whenever I looked most things up and the second or third word started with "i" or God forbid "in" the autocomplete would always be either "india" or "in hindi."

For a post in a subreddit dedicated to South Asian (Pajeet) masculinity the method explain in this post doesn't sounds like a very masculine method of getting ahead at work. Sounds like something that some pajeet faggot would do.
