I thought of this thread today when I was curious about the health risks caused by non-smoking tobacco use. It's frustratingly difficult to find any good studies that back up this oft-repeated assertion that they are super bad for you - something that even as a complete non-user makes zero sense to me. Every public health 'expert' swears up and down that you should never use them to quit smoking. Well, I think I may have found the roots of some of these number. In this meta-analysis, you can look at the rates found in various studies, many of which are in India and a substantial number of which are in Sweden, and Jesus Christ the numbers are insane.

You can see that many of the ORs for studies in countries like the US or Sweden hover around 1 or even under it (one means 'no difference' between groups, less than one means that the tobacco-using group had better results). The jeet numbers (plus a few other shithole countries) are fucking horrifying - apparently whatever slop they are chewing/snorting in the subcontinent gives you mega nose & throat canceraids. It really left me reeling - is the so-called 'severe' carcinogenicity of non-smoke tobacco literally just an artifact of retarded jeets snorting cowdung laced with heavy metals and trace amounts of tobacco? I once had to call an IT help desk located in India per my corporations policies. Despite having people more qualified to fix the issue on site, the jeets were the ones managing the certificates for our connectivity to corpo intranet.

Essentially the issue was that a critical VPN proxy we use to connect to the intranet was denying me all access and knocking me off the net. I call the jeets and explain slowly and carefully to the Mandeep I got what is going on and the 7 hour saga begins:

>Restarts a service that is obviously running the entire time
>Opens up my certificate manager and confirms everything is in order
>Moves to connect to the VPN I explained to him would knock me off the Internet
>I protest and remind him what will happen

>Lose connection to the Internet, take screenshots of the available certificates for importing not loading at all (Because no Internet)

They have mercy and shoot a mail to the jeet help desk that the issue is persisting and that they'll be taking matters into their own hands.
They ask me to give them my PC for 15 minutes so they can reimage it. They do so. 30 minutes later I have my PC back. 45 minutes later, everything is working as it should. Back to the grind.

The first few messages I have are the jeets asking me to rate their services...

To me essentially even these legal IT help desk centers the jeets have are operating on the level of their scam centers. And let's be honest are scamming whoever utilizes their services. They get money for wasting your time and thus your companies money. It's absurd. I never had strong feelings towards the jeets, but being forced to work in an environment where you unavoidably have to interact with them has radicalized me immensely.
