I remember when I had an issue with certain library (that I still will be ready to knife-fight the guy who decided to use it ass backwards way) and a Red Hat product, the PM told me to create ticket about that on Red Hat support platform. Now, I had assumed it's going to be not fruitful conversation, the first things went as usual on friday afternoon, made the ticket, included all the data from my findings relating to the issue and the platform we used and so on. Then came friday afternoon, I shut my laptop down and went to grab a bottle of rotgut vodka to drink myself into blissfull oblivion where there are no project managers. Well, come monday, and I log in to my work computer and found over 15 e-mails asking for status update on the ticket and each of them ended with "we haven't heard from you sir can we close the ticket now" from different pajeets. The original dude replying to me only sent three of those emails from friday to sunday, btw. In the end, I finally got the answer I told we would be getting ("we can't help you with this") and created another email rule that cleans up my inbox on outlook from corporate spam. The pajeet never takes the weekend off to ask you to do the needful.
