I don't think porn alone is responsible for declining birthrates in the developing world, nor is the lack of it solely responsible for a higher birthrate in crapholes.

The presence of nudity, sex, pornography and everything imaginable has been the constant companion of human life since our species emerged.

I think "porn" itself isn't inherently bad: it depends on what it is and how it's used. Like drawings of sexy fictional adults is one thing, real people fornicating or worse is another. Just viewing it is one thing, being an addict or "coomer" or "gooner" is another.

More or less, but trying to outright ban it isnt going to work in the digital era, internet era.

IMO its one of many things that exist that you shouldnt try to ban altogether as cons outweigh the positives. Alcohol is the greatest example of this. Now with that said theres certainly no reason society should tolerate (((people))) happily pushing and nonchalantly embracing onlyfans and the like.

Odd how porn was a thing before Current Year, and yet it didn't lead to those with addictions "trooning out" like in Clown World now.

I don't think that access to it and early exposure to it was the norm before now though.

There's been internet porn since the late '90s. Although video and image resolution before the 2010s was more limited, and of course kids could not get on the internet unsupervised as easily. That first major "smartphone" release was the iPhone in 2007, and I think "smartphones" didn't become a big thing with kids until sometime after 2012 - 2015 -- which happens to be the start of Current Year.

But it seems that still doesn't explain the "trooning out" thing: something about Clown World porn seems to make addicts in Current Year more likely to "troon out" than porn addicts prior to the '10s. "Social media" and "identity politics" may (also) play a role.

In any case, letting kids use "smartphones" and "social media" unsupervised may not be the best idea.

Porn should be banned, imo, and pornographers should get custodial sentences.

I've read that overall, sex crimes have gone down when porn is not banned. But, at the same time, there can be number of porn addicts who get desensitized and go after increasingly degenerate stuff, like how you described. And yet, trying to ban porn could be just as much of a failure as the "War on Drugs" or "Prohibition", with more people going into one of -- if not the -- biggest prison systems.

Personally, I think what should not be a thing in porn is at least the sick stuff, as well as real people fornicating or worse in live action -- if such were possible.
