Considering journalists would flip his shit if he didn't give the film a glowing review there's not much he could do but get people crying misogyny at him, besides see the film and give a review that doesn't refleft what he thinks of it, but rather what won't trigger people.

That's what I thought after seeing the trailer too, I was pretty intrigued until I saw a ghost vomit on one of the new Ghostbusters and said to myself "Oh it's going to be one of those movies" .
 
Saw this on Twitter. If this is an actual legitimate quote, I don't know what to think. Because it sounds like a 12 year old trying to pretend to be Akroyd.

EDIT: Apparently it is real. Given the grammar and nonsensical sentences, I'm honestly wondering if he was drunk when typing this.

Well clearly he thought it should have been two dump track, given how the review doesn't even read like a normal sentence.
 
There were so many mistakes made by Sony during this whole process:
  • Releasing a trailer that was too long, poorly edited and didn't leave enough to the imagination. The first trailer, especially for a big film like this is supposed to 'tease' the audience, you aren't supposed to play your hand all at once. By releasing a shitty trailer months in advance they just fueled the fire.
  • The reaction of the cast members. I've barely heard anything from a cast member other than Melissa Mcarthy, and what does she do? Insult the potential audience, telling them to 'get friends' and blame the films negative response on the fact that the main cast are all women.
  • Paul Feig acting unprofessionally and having rants against 'misogynists' who hate the film. By constantly referencing the fact that the main characters are women, he is creating another backlash. The focus should have been that the main cast are ghostbusters who happen to be women, not women ghostbusters.
