Well, April's almost here. April and May are really unpredictable months for me, as is March.

Not because there's sexuality being displayed, but because the foley guys apparently have to magnify the wet, smacking, popping sounds to 1000 times their original volume. But everyone else I know either doesn't mind or can't get enough of that intensity.
I'm convinced that I have misophonia. Chewing sounds drive me up the wall, so it only makes sense that loud kissing/smacking/slurping/wet thrusting sounds would do the same.
ETA: And the breathing. Goddamn, nothing sounds more forced than that breathing.
I just can't stand loud people. I love guns, I love loud music, I love big fat loud trucks, but I hate those people that know how to control the volume of their voice but choose not to.Niachu said:I have a low tolerance for loud noises in general, too. Not just you. Make out scenes annoy me in general, but the stupid smacking noises make me irrationally hate whoever's doing it.
I hate chewing sounds, coughing, and lip popping. Whenever I hear the latter, especially, I get an intense urge to resort to physical violence x: And I am certainly not a violent person.

Oh man, I thought I was the only one who would cough all the time.Midnight Kissy Bull said:Coughing doesn't annoy me unless the person does it frequently. I try to be understanding, since I had a coughing problem for about three years. (It was all because of a vicious cold I had during one Christmas. I went to at least five different doctors over the course of those three years before I realized that it was actually very normal for me to have mucus at the back of my throat. It protects the throat, after all. After that, it was a matter of training myself to ignore the sensation at the back of my throat. Self-hypnosis was a lifesaver.)
