Sorry for wanting to take on the guy as a mentor and believing that a non-sexual friendship between a man and a woman could ever exist.

Meh, it does exist, you should'nt give a shit what other people think. I have girls (I call them that whether they're a decade younger than me or a decade older because I like too and I should check my privilege) who I look after and guide along.

Hahaha, I had to squint but I kind of see it. You actually look more like someone else but I can't quite put my finger on it. Someone a lot younger than Matthew Perry though.

I guess maybe I resembled him more was I was a teenager...and not so hairy, sweaty, and grimey like in that pic. :briefs:

I feel better after reading the responses here. :)

I guess I'm also concerned because my boss once had a close friendship with someone who worked under him. It was the kind of friendship where they shared stuff that they felt their spouses couldn't understand. They even hugged each other every morning. But rumors flew and, well, he had to put an end to the hugging and sharing personal info. They're not as close anymore. She'll still hug her other male friends, though.

He swears up and down that they were never romantically involved, but I can kind of see how those actions would have led people to believe otherwise. My store has a lot of people who still think they're in high school, and apparently don't believe that a man and a woman can be very close and not feel anything deeper for each other.

Perhaps if I up the father and daughter aspect of our friendship, people will hopefully (and rightfully) believe that I'm the Luke Skywalker to his Obi Wan Kenobi, the Harry Potter to his Dumbledore, the, uh... Robin to his Batman... and read nothing more.

People will read into it anyways. It's best to just ignore them because you and your mentor know how it really is.

Anyone else agree that Disney's Sky High is the manliest movie in existence, because it has Kurt Russel and Bruce Campbell in it?

I always thought Bruce Campbell's chin alone carried the movie.

D'aww, you made him blush.

HOLY SHIT. It's been raining pretty hard here for the last half hour, but it's settled down quite a bit. I'm sitting in bed minding my own business when lightening strikes right next to my window. I've never experienced lightening so close to me; I thought something exploded when the flash lit up my room. My body is all tensed up now, and I can hear my neighbors outside. NOT REALLY A SAFE PLACE TO BE, GUYS. *yawn*

I've been to a few internet forums in my day but I must say the CWCki forum has the least amount of mental retardation in it.

My reader keeps bugging every time I try to read something from my H.P. Lovecraft Collection, I think it is a sign...

So many experiences to contradict that statement... you clearly haven't been here that long.

Jcrowley, Chitoryu12, Mew, Punchabunch, TimBabinski, NEET, bathsalts4breakfast, The Tape Collector, Rika and Chris say otherwise.
