With all the doomposting and the like in this thread, ill just say this as advice, fuck anyone that tries to police you on what games you should like or not, what was your personal GOTY. For me it was either Mario + Rabbids 2, Triangle Strategy, or TMNT Shredder's Revenge.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land (though to be fair it's the only game released this year that I've played). To see it do so well both critically and commercially, and for the developers to say that they intend to make more Kirby games in this style, made me very happy.

The Good:

• Elden Ring, the true GOAT
• Space Marine II and Jedi Survivor trailers (if not because no niggers in it but remain cautiously optimistic)
• Tekken 8 (my boy Jack has come)
• The chad of all mechas, Armored Core 6
• Among Us new game mode (for the memes)
• Stray wins two awards and FFXIV wins one as usual, Bayonetta and Kirby got Best Action and Family Game respectively

The Bad:

• Everything else but special mentions to God of Bore (for ruining half of the awards) and Genshit (for ruining Players Choice, I'd rather pick Halo Infinite Beta than fucking Genshit)
• NIGGERS EVERYWHERE

Well, whatever. Had a nice time drinking with the wife while we watched the drawing. Hope next year goes a bit smoother, but the prize draw system seems solid. I expect steam is winding up for another crack at being a video platform, but they really should be able to sort out streaming with a minimum of effort. Being the software people play the games they stream with is a compelling advantage to have to fail around, but let's see if they can go for a third.
