Sad endings can’t be the norm if they want to resonate. And Nojima wrote FF8 the way he did precisely because he and jap fans thought FF7 was too sad.

I guess Fagget really fucking hates seeing happy couples live and shit. Just wait until they start paying attention to FF4 and start making up retarded headcanons that Cecil died or shit.

I can't make this shit up. They cope up and down that the FFXV epilogue novel isn't canon because everyone (Including Noctis and Luna) live in the end, and only Ardyn dies (Happily might I add).
I'm pretty sure that novel is an alternate timeline that was supposed to be a DLC campaign that got cancelled. It's as canon as any of the novels that had game staff directly working on it, though because it's locked away to a novel I'm guessing any crossovers will be like Opera Omnia and treat the characters as though they're from the original game ending timeline.

Given how it was clearly supposed to be the actual DLC ending to the game, it is as good as canon in my book, and the Faggetor cucks with no girlfriends can go seethe and dilate in the corner.

Actually I don’t think I originally posted the review. I only reposted it because it still has the best single criticism of Remake. That all the Whisper business feels unbelievably inorganic because the characters barely acknowledge it in the next scene (usually a scene from the original where they talk about their encounters with Turks or Shinra’s latest misdeed).
I keep thinking that Remake is all in the lifestream and its a big soap opera to get Septhiroth to move on and give up and show him that no it wont play out different no matter what he does. That would make the whole Zack side quest have alot more story purpose.

People hyping Zack for him to do so little has been one of the better parts of this experience for me.

i tried a wee bit of ff16 out of curiosity. i didnt play much of it. basically the opening part up until i reached that i wanna call it a settlement but i dont remember the name of it. its okay but i'll try to actually getting around to finishing it when i complete metaphor refantazio and veilguard

It doesnt take much to make the reddit melt down just say FF16 didnt sell well and they should make the franchise an RPG again and they'll go on tortuous arguments that because there were some different RPG systems in each of those games it means a mainline Final Fantasy can be a first person vehicle combat battle royale gacha

I don't even dislike 16, I just think that the astroturfing is fucking hilarious. FF4 still has the best couple in this series to me, I just like riling up the childless incel cuck fags over on that subreddit.

It is really sad being a lifelong fan of something that is near completely forgotten. Final Fantasy XIII is over 15 years old, and no one cares, not even Square. A blessing and a curse, nothing else looks or sounds the way it does, but at the same time nothing will ever illicit those new emotions from me either.
I suppose at the very least, I won't have to worry about it being bastardized by a pandering remake later, because it didn't perform well enough to warrant the awful treatment VII got during the early 2000s. It can be my weird little thing that does things only I like.

*Elicit
And FF13 will never be remade or put center stage again because it fucking sucked, lmao
