Just keep in mind this ain’t Final Fantasy 1; it is really only balanced for the fighter, white mage, black mage trio, so don’t get cute. And don’t sleep on the Ancient Sword. (That’s why I’d say skip training Firion in anything other than swords.)
Already made it to endgame more than once!

Final Fantasy X-2
I am impressed by Tidus' patience and fortitude.

I can do without Cid not beating the girl, but they removed his smoking and there's no fucking shut up sit down and drink your goddamn tea!
https://youtube.com/watch?v=2N5YHQCscYIeverything about the FF7 remake compilation is like 4kids localizing a shounen anime, which is very kiddified media itsef
This is why no one bought rebirth it's to fkn kiddy. It makes the og ff7 seem like a m for mature game. No blood, no Cid, dyne not killing himself, no aerith beat down, no midgar zolom masamune moment. And they turned the honey bee in which was a brothel into a dance club

I think there was an interview back then with a squeenix exec or game director that they always final fantasy aimed for teens. which is fine, but most of the FF7 fans that have played it back then and looking forward for the remake are adults now. they shouldn't be restrained to keep it for only teens or like explore the dark stuff in the original FF7 that just glanced over.

I think its the overall thing to blame here is the moralwashing or like making the protagonists always have a squeaky clean image. they must be always paragon of virtue and have a spotless moral. like shonen jump back then have heroes that are willing to kill like Kenshiro and Jojo, now shonen jump makes their heroes not kill their enemies, resulting in talk no jutsu memes

I blame disney and kh tbh. It's ass backwards too cloud can decapitate a random grunt but as soon as he tries to kill annoying ass Elena now tifa gives a fuck. Square over estimated that they think if your an ff7 fan you must love the compilation. When in reality only the most devout artists care abt the compilations and.also the bad writing that plagues it.

Remake ill acknowledge had too much story and felt very padded. Rebirth no. That had plenty of actual gameplay to pair up with cutscenes.
battles consist of staggerslop from FFXIII just with an illusion of being better because there's more cinematic by doing those little tiny attacks in between.
then the exploration is yellow tape mess with ubisoft towers and the story is still shit.
FF7 Rebirth is squeenix response to how FF7 Remake's reception, but they answered it in the most stupid way possible, just like how squeenix responded on how monotonous FF10 was with FF10-2

I never did finish FF XVI. I played it a decent amount at release and probably got 80% through it, but I was out of town for several days and just never went back. Once the momentum of playing it was broken I just never went back.

I know a couple of pages ago there was discussion about FF9 and I played not too long ago and really enjoyed it (Its top 3 for the games in the franchise I played). I liked all the nodes to previous games, and I liked the world of Gaia. Furthermore, I liked the simple story and those little character interactions with the cast. Problems I had with was the gameplay is really slow, I wish the trance wasn't automatic and the characters aside from the first four you meet (Zidane, Dagger, Steiner and Vivi) really don't do much, and I thought the villains of both Kuja and Garland were weak. It reminded me a lot of the classic Disney movies (I though Garnets theme literal sounds like something you will hear from a Disney movie)
