There so much cut content in XVI they even call Leviathan "The Lost", did anyone else notice that Sleipner was most likely suppose to be Leviathan and that we were suppose to fight him in part of the ocean Odin cuts open. It pretty obvious they ran out of money and just threw in a pointless "you lose no matter what fight" against Odin again to hype him up some more.
I don’t think so. They make Sleipnir’s connection to Odin pretty blatant with him being his horse and all (true to Norse mythology), so I’m pretty sure that’s something they had planned out from the beginning. His design even has horse motifs. It’s more likely the meant for Kihel aka Medicine Girl to be Leviathan given her odd relevance to and then disappearance from the plot. I think they just wanted Waloed to have a sort of piratey feel, hence the ship and ocean battle.

The DLC is apparently going to revolve around “the darkness and mysteries of Clive’s story”, so there’s a chance we’ll learn more about Leviathan.

I would assume the DLC will about his time as a "bastard" in the imperial army.
At least, I would like to see that.

Honestly those were the best parts of the mainline game. It all went downhill when he took off the armor

Unless one of the dlcs includes an Eikon fight with Leviathan, I don’t even care. But wait that’s too much effort.

FF16 DLC trailer (Age Restricted)

I have to admit I'm trying not to get hype over Rebirth but it's tough. So many great moments are going to be in that game but I have so many gripes with Remake that I know are going to be in the new one.

16 dlc looks better then the actual game.

Awesome to see my boy cid again. Have no idea wtf they are doing with the timelines but it looks great.

Rebirth looks cool but I’m still assmad enough about the Intergrade not being on PS4 bullshit that I don’t know if I’ll ever play it even if I ever decide to get a PS5.

I really don't want to buy a PS5 just to play Rebirth, but goddamn it if Square isn't making it hard for me not to.

Yeah Ultima was a mediocre antagonist. I didn’t think he was awful, but he’s extremely generic. It’s especially bad when you go from Ardyn, one of the most compelling antagonists in the series, to this. I just think CBU3 can’t write villains other than Emet-Selch.

This franchise really struggles with villains. On one hand you have memorable villains like Kefka, Sephiroth, Kuja, Caius, Emet-Selch, and Ardyn. Then on the other hand you have a bunch of shit tier villains, like Ultimecia.
A lot of people seem to dislike Seymour too, but I liked him. He was creepy and interesting. Yunalesca never gets talked about, but that's one of my favorite villains.

The new Rebirth trailer is hilariously biased towards Cloud/Aerith.

Seymour is a villain you love to hate, he’s just so cocky and unapologetic. Some people think his dub voice is unfitting and hard to take seriously but I disagree, it makes him even slimier and goes with his flamboyant appearance. Yunalesca is pretty good too.

It’s causing more consternation than I predicted. But also way more hype.

I don’t know why people are surprised Square would want to highlight Cloud and Aerith’s relationship when the two are headed for tragedy. Square would have to be more incompetent and gutless than they’ve ever been to not build that up.

Like, despite Tifa being more popular and the woman he actually lives out his life with, regular people who know about FF7 are likely to say Aerith is his girlfriend because their doomed affections are so iconic.

But Aerith was into Zack, not Cloud. She never had a romantic relationship with Cloud.

Yeah no. Hope you’re trolling. I mean she was into Zack, and you can argue no relationship technically officially started with Cloud. But none of that is really relevant here unless you’re a lunatic shipper who assigns arbitrary rules to these things. And the trailer is hilariously unambiguous in its intent.

The point is that she had no professed, romantic interest in Cloud and the only person she had any confirmed romantic interest in was Zack. That has nothing to do with shipping. That's just what objectively happened.

Yeah but it turns out that’s her telling a noble lie.

So your argument is she has to say it? Rather than simply act on it? That’s not a very objective standard in my opinion.

Look at this, we have one person seeming to argue Cloud doesn’t authentically love her and another saying she doesn’t have feelings for him. But we have this game pushing romantic subtext and affection mechanics on them both in particular. This is either a work of subtle 5D chess genius from Square or they just liked one another.
