Poast on average seems to have the lowest collective IQ. There’s a handful of good users there that I’ve talked to, but on average they’re usually just nuremspergs and midwits.
The unwritten rule on Poast is that you can't dox Borzoi or Rand. Truly, it must have been better when it was just weebs.

I love how mad he got about people posting pictures of his very semitic wife.

I don't really deserve my own category, I haven't gotten into that much beef. The thing is, there is _a lot_ of beef on the Fediverse, so so much, too much to really keep track of. rDrama.cc isn't solely a large instance but thank you for mentioning it!

I've had a few instances that i hosted, mostly for myself, but rDrama was my first real public one.

Topics worth discussing:
  • Fediblock, the creator, and joinfediverse.wiki
  • FediUN - The unmoderated CP incident
  • Culture, GNU Social, and shit before my own time as well
  • The Gabenning
  • fedi.wiki and fediverse.wiki
  • Gargron
  • TODO, seriously there is so fucking much, fediverse wiki does contain a good amount but some of it has been twisted around
It's the designated containment zone for all the people banned from, or afraid of, posting anywhere else.
A lot of people view Fedi as the "le banned from Twitter" website. In reality, a lot of it is moving away from centralized tech companies. I've been on the site not very long, but long enough to say that anyone who think it's solely a twitter replacement to say nigger, you're ruining the experience and fun of the site as well. Culturally, it's moved its own way, and that's why so-called "Twitter refugees" are often bullied on the site. It's not a Twitter clone, it looks like twitter, but it's microblogging at the heart. It's a place to shitpost, dick around, get in massive threads, and make friends

Pleroma and Misskey both have major improvements over Twitter in general, such as Emoji reactions, groups, emojo reactions, post visibility, custom emojis, shoutbox, lack of AI (this is a good thing, trust me, it's a step away from the nu-internet), linear threads (debatable, some frontends have mods for tree-style threads, but unlike twitter, it's not all over the fucking place, you know...), expanded profile information, a search function that never works, and so forth.

I hate to invite people to say that if you're banned on Twitter to blindly walk onto Fediverse, throw in that "lurk moar" mindset and give it a shot for yourself. Hell, just jump right in. But please know, it's not Twitter, and the majority of the community doesn't want it to become modern Twitter. Think old-twitter, or bring in your channer-shit, keep it boiling. But hey, it's the Fediverse, if an instance becomes too Twitter-like, you either defederate or avoid them, most of these issues tend to solve themselves: you federate with instances of whom you interact with, and people show up

Those types often go shit up the timeline via poast, annoy a bunch of people and then leave. They’re not fun to engage with and are a dime a dozen. The only people I feel are worse are the politispergs who come and demand everyone be like them while doing nothing more than shitting up the timeline.

Usually muting a whole instance does wonders, especially ones that collectively shit up the timeline. Muting poast alone has improved the quality of my timeline on one alt and defederating from them on another has done nothing but help.

I would usually prefer to instance mute than to defederate. PleromaFE as i know does not have a way to manage instance mutes unfortunately.

Speaking of, I've been developing Treebird, which is a Pleroma/Mastodon/Revolver frontend that tries to combine the simplicity of GNU Social, Speed of bloatFE and power/implementations of SoapboxFE and PleromaFE all into one. As much as a mess that description makes it sound, it's just another Fediverse frontend, but my take on it. It's very performant too, which is my main etch with PleromaFE that _forced_ me to start developing my own frontend. All the current frontends are bad and rely too heavily on Javascript as well and/or don't support all backend features, so instead of forking one, I decided to start afloat with my own.

Several servers are running it/preparing to run it, like SPC and Poast. I'm really hoping that it fixes all the problems every other frontend has, while bringing in all the good things they have to offer.

Sorry for shilling, but I thought it was worth putting in here.

Didn't graf block and cut all contact with you?
He did, but he's not stingy enough to run my software I guess.

BTW custom emoji reactions are being ran on a dudes instance! I'll implement these as well for my own frontend and send a PR to the main Pleroma development branch to get these merged so its easier for more people to access these
