The elven scriptship

The Elves have had flying skyships for eaons, which can fly and travel the stars because they get thir power by being carved in a a single peace Fr m the Great World Tree. The Scriptship was made from necessity where they didn't have access to a large enough piece of the world tree, and was instead made from a massive tome, each page shaped to form the keel of the ship and filled with the magic script needed to float and traverse the stars, along with pages of weaponry spells and defense spells.

What does it look like?

Sounds like something I've seen before. I imagine about half of the ship is just a massive ad begging commoner elves for donations for maintenance or else the ship will crash and it will be their fault. Also the majority of the tome was written by a 10,000 year old elven warlock with droopy eyes hailing from a distant land who has inexplicable hatred towards the tribe native to the Great World Tree.

One variation I was thinking of as I woke up (I no longer remember the details from the dream) was if the keel of the ship was the spine of the tome and the hull peeled open when it's using power. When running idle the hull only peels away from the deck a little, revealling massive pages that quickly flip between themselves as different actions are performed. When it is running at full power the hull folds all the way down fully revealing the pages full of script and symbols, that activate massive weaponry like magic missiles or protection spells. It's a Holy Book built into a warship that's used to fend off the elven invaders
