Outside of like OG Fallout. Name some, Isometric CRPGS like Neverwinter night / Baldurs Gate that didn't have your characters going all at once and had turn queues.
Wizardry series
Heroes of Might & Magic series
SSI's PoR series
Betrayal at Krondor
Pretty much everything Squaresoft and/or Enix developed

etc

I actually don't know of any party-based D&D-alikes prior to Baldur's Gate that were real-time. They were pretty much all turn-based. No idea why you think Fallout 1&2 don't count, since they were developed by the same company that published Baldur's Gate.

You could had just brought its hp down the regular way, the quest completes just fine as long as the final blow is dealt with the fork
But that's ga... oh wait, he's mer, right? Yeah, that's kinda silly of him not to do that.

I wish they wouldn't put in their shitty legendary system into TES6. Ive already accepted that they will, but I fucking hate it.

We don't need legendary iron sword of the barbarian, if you want us to get a cooler sword give us a unique sword model or upgrade it's tier.
I don't mind whatever the official term for prefix+suffix gear that has existed since... Angband? I think Angband had it before Diablo.

But give me something more interesting. If they're already stealing classic (ASCII) roguelike systems, go grab TOME's / ZAngband's evolving weapons. There's that one star wars variant where every light saber leveled up by having it's own XP bar, and with each level they got stronger by adding a new suffix/prefix system. That would make some of the daedra artifacts really good, if insanely random.

Also no fucking daedra artifacts. I'm tired of whatever god awful stretch of the imagination is going to bring that fucking razor or black claymore to the exact region I'm at in the exact time I'm in the region. Give me new shit. They're immortals. Surely they've made other artifacts over the eons.

Wizardry series
Heroes of Might & Magic series
These are dungeon crawlers.
JRPGs are not either.
Not the same genre as NWN, Baldurs gate, etc..
CRPGS generally as far as I have been aware stood for isometric DnD like RPGS.
Arcanium, Baldurs Gate, Neverwinter Nights. Divinity 1 and 2, etc....
E:
Either way this is getting away from TES.
Which constitutes more of a dungeon crawler first person action RPG.

They added Open MW to GoG apparently.

Is a shame no other game will achieve the same level of drip customization as morrowind.

"Dear Food - I am hungry, stop by so I can eat you. Sincerely, Master McToolraper."

Genuinely, due to the amount of armor slots and stuff to put in them, there's an ungodly amount of drip out there.

i think the quests in oblivisneed are genuinely good there was some semblance of soul
The dark brotherhood questline is fun. Khajiiti have funny faces with high desposition towards player.
The music is amazing. The setting is kinda boring if you try to imagine what Cyrodiil could have been like if bethesda didn't decide to make it ordinary medieval kind of place, but it's still pleasant. I like to stroll in the forests, collecting mushrooms and herbs.

The gameplay sucks, though. This leveling shit is ridiculous. It is very fun to beat dremora for 10 mins straight. Fuck that shit.

HOMM doesn't even have dungeons. All those Infinity Engine games were dungeon crawlers as well. Sometimes the dungeon was tarted up like an outdoor area, but didn't really have an overworld like Ultima did.

No, it stands for "computer RPG," and the earliest ones of note were Ultima and Wizardry. The first D&D-based series that mattered was SSI's Pool of Radiance series. Here's a screenshot:

See that? Isometric perspective. D&D-based rules. Turn-based combat. Everything you think was invented in the early 00s was around way back in 1988.

Arcanium, Baldurs Gate, Neverwinter Nights. Divinity 1 and 2, etc....

Yeah and Green Day invented punk rock. Sound more like you just didn't really start gaming until the 00s and assume everything that was new to you was new to the world.

im an oblivinigger, i think the quests in oblivisneed are genuinely good there was some semblance of soul before the horse armor... i played morrowind on the og xbone though
IMO Oblivion genuinely has the most creative side quests as they were testing out all the wacky shit they could do with radiant AI, and it still feels like the same soul from Morrowind. If it weren't for the meme worthy presentation in voice acting and facial expressions, I don't even think the dialogue/writing is much worse than Morrowind's sidequests, it just seems worse because now this goofy shit is being said by actual humans putting on silly voices.

That said, for every creative daedra quest, there's a lot of shitty dungeon crawls, Oblivion Fighters' Guild fucking sucks for this. Probably why noone talks about that one. Mages' Guild had an interesting thing going on with gathering recommendations to enter the College basically being an evolution of the freeform faction questlines in Morrowind, but also feels pretty rushed and poorly thought out once you get to the actual 'story' of the Guild.

Having obtained the plans from Vivec, i've attacked the 6th House citatels, expanding my Dagoth souls collection and acquiring Sunder and Keening for my showdown with Dagoth Ur. But there's just a few things to wrap up before the showdown...

I didn't forget you killed me in another life you bitch, you have no idea what's coming

screenshot015.png

Remember me? Nerevarine from the Bronx?

screenshot013.png

He just nuked me on the face, but i have the best ring of the game, the ring of equity, so he just can't hurt me while i drain all his agility

The false god of the tribunal on his knees facing true superiority

screenshot018.png
And now i have his soul, and i already know what fate will befall over it

screenshot019.png
Vivec's soul is stuck on a pair of common underwear, destined to be bound to it forever more.... Now it's time to go after Dagoth Ur himself
