Augustus "Gus" Lamont disappeared on September 27th, 2025 after he was last seen playing in the sand at the family sheep station near the town of Yunta. He was last seen wearing a blue Minions shirt and a grey hat. Yunta is about 300km north of Adelaide and right in the middle of the Australian outback.

His grandmother, Sharon, reported him missing to police after over three hours, claiming they searched for Gus for that time. She also claims that there is a 30 minute gap he was left alone.

Air and land searches have found absolutely zero trace of him (a single boot print was found 500m away from the property with no tracks leading up to and after it). Searches have covered 1,200km so far, already, so it looks like he did vanish without a trace. With it being wide and open outback, it's very unusual not to find a body as you'd see birds circling an area above a body.

Police are investigating if foul play is involved, and this whole case just rubbed me the wrong way. 4 year olds rarely get up and wander like that. As I was reading through the article (L / A), my trans detector went off as I saw a picture of his "grandmother", Josie Murray.

So, we have a tranny who lives with his wife (T&H woman) of many years on a remote sheep station where Gus's father did not like him going out because apparently it was not safe. He also argued with the tranny granny a lot.

When asked about the boy, tranpa says: "We're still looking for him, You can't help, we're still dealing with this." and has been declining help from volunteers in search efforts, also claiming that the family just wants to be left alone and to not show up to the property.

The family situation​

This is the part that really interested me.

Josie Murray (Tranpa) lives with Shannon Murray, who I believe is the actual grandmother and not another troon.

Jess and Joshua Lamont are the parents of missing Gus and 1 year old Ronnie who also lives on the sheep station. Joshua Lamont doesn't live on the sheep station because he's been fighting with Tranpa Josie; he lives 100km away (two hours' drive or so).

Using this thread as a collection area because this one is just weird. Children that age cannot travel that far within 30 minutes and have left no trace.

Just wanted to note that there is no confirmation that grandma is telling the truth. The last time that the boy can be confirmed to have been alive and present, is the last time that he was seen by an uninvolved third party (not troonpa, grandma or mom). Since they were isolated it sounds like if something bad happened, they may have had days to make him or his body disappear.

Oh nice, thanks. Made an edit just to clarify it's being claimed that's what happened. Three hours is a long time for a search, you'd know something was up if a 4 year old child just wandered off into the outback.

Can't find any information on who else was there at the time, but since it's so remote it's not like one of them can just head out for a pack of cigs. Weird, weird, weird case.

Day 13 since Gus went missing, more updates on Tranpa Josie (Robert Murray) have come out (Archive - original article is paywalled).

It's a bit complex, so here's a rough family tree:
  1. Vincent Pfeiffer / Clair Jones (great-grandparents of Gus)
  2. Shannon Murray née Pfeiffer / Robert Murray (Josie) (grandparents of Gus)
  3. Jessica Lamont née Murray / Joshua Lamont (Gus' parents)
  4. Gus Lamont / Ronnie Lamont (sons)
Excerpts:
  • None of the family are officially suspects yet.
  • :!: Nobody told Joshua Lamont (Gus' father) that Gus had disappeared. The police woke him up to tell him hours afterwards.
  • Tranpa Josie married into the family around 1999. The sheep station was owned as a joint venture by his wife (Shannon Murray, grandmother of Gus) and her father, Vincent.
  • The sheep station was inherited from Shannon's mother's side.
  • Tranpa Josie's actual name is Robert Murray. He trooned out around about 2015.
  • Vincent (Shannon's father) died around about 2004 where both Robert and Shannon were listed as trustees.
  • A friend has said that Robert/Josie took the death of Vincent quite hard and was called 'Snow' before transitioning around about 2015.
  • Shannon and Robert/Josie still live together but the status of their marriage is unknown.
  • Vincent was a WWII veteran and was a POW of the Japanese for almost three years.
  • Vincent, his wife Clair Jones and their daughter Shannon Murray were very well-respected in the community.
  • Joshua Lamont is furious at the family for this happening on their watch and has gone to Adelaide to stay with relatives.
  • Joshua Lamont used to be a country singer called Billy Tea and used to perform in pubs in and around Adelaide.
Really interesting stuff. Also, good to note that the area surrounding Yunta has lots of unmarked old mines and wells, so it's also a possibility he's fallen in one of those.
 
I had to register just so I could contribute to this. You can't even mention that tranpa is "transgender" elsewhere. I have a feeling that fact is going to make a lottt of otherwise level-headed people walk on eggshells.

Everything about this case is off and the family are hiding something. Not only that but they have other local families running cover for them.

I'm so intrigued by the old lady neighbour/family friend who claim the police told her on day 2 that they've ruled out him being taken and also ruled out family harm. BULLSHIT.

Both family friends and the police are making out that he could have ONLY wandered off and any other theory is just a mean old conspiracy theory.

Both the family friend and tranpa telling people the family just wants peace and quiet and to be just left alone, and they dont want any help to look for him, is the biggest of red flags.

Also, the kid looks like he suffers from foetal alcohol syndrome. I wonder what the deal is with the mum. Do the grandparents have custody?

I noticed that too. The entire thing is odd. The mother isn't making any public statements and seems to be letting Tranpa (glad that name is sticking) talk about it. Even the grandmother is silent even though she's the one that left him out, playing in dirt in a region which is famously known for having venomous snakes that can kill in a single bite.

The father left the sheep station and is widely reported as having fights with Tranpa. Like, what the fuck is going on? The dad obviously hated the fact his two sons were being kept up there in a desolate wasteland that most people (Yunta has 60 inhabitants) knew to stay the fuck away from. The nearest supermarket is a two hour drive away. What is it with trannies wanting to establish remote, desolate ranches of whatever? A harem of some kind?

So I was thinking about other cases where kids had "wandered off" from large rural properties. There was a case recently involving a 3 yo non verbal autistic boy who wandered off on his family's 650 acre farm who was found 3 days later.

The difference in behaviour between that family and little Gus couldn't be more stark. The whole family appeared to be actively involved in looking for him, welcoming locals to look for him, actually talking to the media themselves about their son.

This situation the family is completely closed off, dismissive, they're not really talking to the media at all (as a parent I'd be fucking frantic and losing my mind and blabbing to anyone who'd listen) instead family friends are talking on their behalf, telling the media the family just wants peace and quiet, doesn't want help, admonishing the public for questioning wtf is going on.

No wonder everyone is getting the same hinky feeling.
 
It's pissing me off how respectful the media and journalists are being towards this family considering there were 3 grown adults on the property and not one bothered to supervise this 4yo and keep him safe.

I saw someone mention that tranpa looks like Bevan Spencer von Einem with tits and if you know SA lore its hard to unsee it. 😆

The thing that gets me are the articles which don't mention the tranny thing at all, like it's perfectly normal to be a tranpa in his 70s and play dress-up.

The police are resuming the search for Gus after about a week of not searching. Quoted:
The search will concentrate on an expanded area outside of the zone already searched extensively following Gus' disappearance. There continues to be regular and close engagement with the Lamont family who are continuing to assist with the investigation

They're also saying that any evidence is not suspicious so far. CHECK TRANPA'S HARD DRIVES.

Also a good thought to keep in mind is that they're likely withholding some information from the public to be able to weed out anybody calling in leads which are talking shit and which ones have actual verifiable knowledge. Gus is absolutely dead now unless he's with somebody else, so it's now moved to the corpse recovery phase. Imagine it's less people who are able to do more thorough checks of certain areas.
EDIT: There's been news articles which are very anti-AI because this case is so popular Down Under that there's AI shitposters. How the fuck is this supposed to fool anyone?

I really dont trust the SA Police in this case. Or, you know, at all. SA is a shady place.

In no way should a man with a transvestic fetish be the main caregiver for a small boy when he has two whole alive parents who should be looking after him.

Also, if the kid isnt known to wander off, the assumption that he has wandered off into boring, dry, bland uninteresting scrub is a strange one. Wander off to where? For what reason?

(Personal anecdote, when my daughter was 2.5 she took advantage of an unlatched side gate and took herself off to the playground across the road. She was gone for less than 5 mins but we were all hysterical and frantically searching for her. But at least the playground made logical sense. Scrubland just before sundown/dusk makes little sense.)

Also strange is they had free roaming dogs on the property and neither dog was out with him/followed him?

Anyway. I'm all for kids freeranging... within reason. But I really hope this family is held accountable for their neglect. Though we all know they won't be being "pillars of the community" of 60 fucking people.

Unfortunately for all I think they are blood related. But speaking of trooning out, I wonder who tranpa has modelled his look on. So many of these guys want to wear their wives as skinsuits.
