As someone who has made Ethan Van Sciver dilate on this very site from Dragon Ball of all things (I was giving him a tip on panelling too kek, it wasn't even meant to be purposefully trolling). They'll never admit it.

Hell, Drinker might be the only one somewhat worldly with his films going by his old reviews & 2nd channel stuff.

Even then, I wouldn't take his anime recommendations seriously (I've got zero interest in Blue Eye Samurai), but that's because I'm more aware of that genre than he is, so Gell-Mann's amnesia doesn't take place in this case.

I think Drinker's main problem is that Youtube became his main job with deadlines and obligatory videos. You can tell when he feels completely passionless in a video vs when he likes/gets angry at a movie. Unfortunately the obligatory passionless videos are most of his content. The youtube algorithm rewards those videos and being a grifter is the easy way out.

There are exceptions like his Castle in the Sky video

Much of the left's arguments against antisjw critics and in the media culture war in general boils down to gaslighting. Basically claiming/or far more often implying that has been minimal or no change at all in tv movies games comics etc over the past few decades and that a bunch of people just got up out of bed one day and decided to grift on how studios were reverse racist/sexist. Thats why they will always be far worse than their opponents even though antisjws obviously have their fair share of grifters just like sjws do. Its just jawdropping how little they think of the intellect of others. Although I must admit their fans never fail to disappoint.

I'm 99% sure they told her this. Wasn't Captain Marvel supposed to be at the helm after Endgame until Brie karened too close to the sun? I can absolutely imagine Feige's circle and her agent telling her to be a proud smug bitch because her character is stronger than everybody and will lead the new team.

It's half of why I believe she was acting during those press releases. The other half is that she stopped acting that way by the time The Marvels came out. At that point, she wore a low cut dress to show off her boobs and didn't act like an entitled Karen. Actual smug bitches are always smug bitches all the time, like with Rachel Zegler.

a lot of the actual grifters say they want to save these franchises, and some may be sincere, i think most are just saying that too be like a "aww shucks im a good guy just wanna save muh vidya" but dont care, even if you was to magically resurrect adolf hitler and put him in charge of star wars you just cant ungay it

and also, a while back i came to the same conclusion as you, why dont these fuckers recommend something good and so i fell for the reading meme, and i read the first dune book and i robot and in the dune book there is this character that is described as a genetic eunuch like he was made that way or some shit, and he has a wife and they fly to the bad guy planet so she can get inseminated by his kid

and then that i robot book has a forward about this foundation book series that has some sort of dr. money-esque planet of genetically engineered hermaphrodites and some robot goes down there to kidnap one of them, mindwipe them then upload its consciousness to the hermaphrodite so it can feel what its like to be a human with a dick and a pussy

and im like what the fuck, this shit is far more perverse and woke than anything you see in modern media, and this is from like the 70's. so did the dune timothy chalamet movie put the genetic eunuch dude in? did amazon put the hermaphrodite planet in the foundation show? these movie studios dont have the straight up balls to put half of this shit from the books in these shows or movies and they never fuckin talk about any of this, you know they havent read any of this shit, but oh this movie has a ugly bald black chick in it so woke
 
I agree. The solution is very simple really. Just watch something else.

It's fine to laugh at woke slop when they fail particularly bad. But raging all day because you can't consume your favorite corporate brands isn't going to change anything.

No matter what they ruined there are alternatives. I guarantee you the Orville being successful would have helped more than foaming all day about Kurtzman for example.

And, not just America'n content, like others have said Japan, China, and Korea are filled with alternatives too.
