At least that "meme" has also spawned stuff like this:

Slimebeast is great and one of my favorite Creepypasta writers. The problem with him going pro is people from Mr. Creepypasta's fanbase are trying to sabotoge him because of Mr. Creepypasta reading his stories and making money through clickbaiting.

Now the new thing going on is Slimebeast made an albeit 'sexist' post on Tumblr and has been in a keyboard war with some poster on there.

Found it: http://slimebeast.tumblr.com/page/27

It was a post about "25 Invisible Gaming Benefits of Gaming While Female"

You might want to go back several pages to see the shit storm. There was also drama back in November as well.

I remember reading this shitstorm as it filtered through my dash. I figured it was just slimebeast doing as he do, since he's very no nonsense as far as I can tell.

I'm getting more and more critical of the narration bigwigs as I go. there's a particular one who I find to be deplorable in his behavior toward his fan base - he is a mid 30s, married man with two kids who spends a LOT of his time being an asshole under the guise of its just how he is, a trait that a lot of the people in the narration community seem to have.

You know, speaking of writers who are getting eaten alive by the predatory behavior of narratiors, I really hope nothing happens to Vincent Vena Cava. He's very talented and his work gets a lot of attention so I hope he knows what his rights are :/

Well Hey Productions? Yeah I know him. I think he's okay. Murphy can be a dick at times, but that's just him. Most of the narrators like Creepypasta Jr, Miss Shadow Lovely and CreepyRainbowPasta, writes their material from time to time. Which is refreshing to be honest. I think I may know Vincent Vena Cava. What has he written?

I think that creepy pastas are pretty much this generation's scary campfire stories. Considering the fact that most of the fanbase knows its fake, and is generally younger [citation needed]. The Creepypasta fandom does not go out and do much, so instead of a warming campfire to tell these stories, they instead tell them via the glow of a computer monitor.

I'm surprised the SCP Foundation hasn't been mentioned yet, at least in terms of good pastas. Although the staff there is abhorrently strict.

The great thing about the SCP is how creative it is. Most of the subjects I've read about have been insanely creative and original. Which is quite a feat, considering that there's hundreds of them.

Although this is mostly true (regarding the campfire story allegory), I would like to speak about the age range issue.

Last time we at the wiki did a full analytic study of our userbase, a vast majority of our users were in their mid to late 20s. It appears to be a another case of vocal minorities being the problem.

Well I'd say they have good reason to be
Gotta have some pretty good quality control in the world of creepypasta
True. I do write there, after all. I simply mean that signing up is in itself a hurdle, and there have been two reformations done by the staff regarding "tonal" issues of articles.

Obviously. Just imagine what would happen if the fangirls got their hands on the SCP Foundation. The site would eventually just become full of original characters and smut fanfiction.

Rule 34 SCP-682!

I'm not going to call the person out by name as if they are as self indulgent and I imagine they might actually find my posts here and I was shortsighted enough to use the same name here as I do to interact with the people of this corner of the internet, but I object to a grown man using the excuse of "it is who I am" to be unnecessarily cruel to his fans (many of whom are quite young). I do appreciate the people who write their own material, I am quite fond of how Chilling Tales sources thwir material for that reason too (people submit to them directly).

Vincent Vena Cava has written some quite popular stories, one of my favorites is "A Favor for a Favor" - sadly I can't find the written version as it is from a book he's written, but this is a reading:

He's also written another personal favorite "The Pastel Man"

You have probably heard of him in passing, he has quite a following.

That's what makes the SCP foundation great; they really don't allow people to do dumb shit with their AU - it stops rampant fangirling and dumb author inserts. I also don't feel like they're creepypasta specifically, just a massive ... interactive story? RP? Type thing.

If you want to see what it would have looked like had the quality control not been so strict, check out The Holders series. It was a cool premise that just went to shit with user creation.
