I think he briefly pauses at one point like he's had enough of Sonichus and lovequests, but trudges on defeatedly. It's tragic and funny at the same time.
The real show stopper d was when he showed them a snow globe he had with his picture in it, chris pointed out sonichu was also in it and they just sighed and agreed.

To be honest, if I thought my family didn't appreciate something I did for them, I'd probably make them do it for themselves too, especially if they were grown up and perfectly capable of doing it themselves. I've never threatened suicide, but I have spent more money than I should in the past.

If your spouse and child said they didn't feel like spaghetti after you made it, you'd never cook for them again? It's not like Barb spent all day cooking a roast or a turkey dinner with home made potato wedges, and home made macaroni salad with Bob and Chris saying "ew no".

This was likely her boiling noodles, frying some store bought meatballs up, and then combining the two and pouring store bought tomato sauce on it (if she didn't just microwave it "sketti" style). It would take her at most an hour. I can see it maybe being an argument for a week, but not something 10-20 years down the line. It was just a spaghetti dinner that Chris didn't feel like having (Maybe Bob and him just came back from Burger King or something). It's pretty safe to say Barb overreacted.

Edit: This wasn't made when he was grown either. Chris implied that this happened from the 90s, after he moved back to Ruckersville after high school. Chris would have been a teen.

As for the money thing, I'd be surprised if you're holding over 20k in credit card debt as well as a $115,000 mortgage after spending tens of thousands on lawyer's fees.

I like how Cole has the same political opinions as his slightly more mentally impaired half brother.

Cole/Chris is an interesting study on how genetics play a major role in personality. The Chandlers were all fairly successful people (Bob, Bob's kids), I sometimes wonder if Chris is even related to his father at all. Cole acts like a Weston, and so does Chris.

Isn't Cole's biological father Ron Coleman Yeatts?

I don't think it's genetic as much as it's just Chris being autistic and copying the people he sees around him, with Barb being the person he sees the most of because they live under the same roof. He gets his personality from her, but it's only because he spends so much time around her. I have to wonder how Chris would be acting right now if Bob were still alive. Would he have still trooned out?

Don't forget, Chris started trooning before Bob died. He just accelerated afterward. The point is that both Chris and Cole exhibit very Weston traits, despite one being considerably older and raised at a different point in Cole's life.

A more valid question would be, who had the worse end of Barb? Cole, with his mom whoring around and shuffling fake dads in and out of his life, or Chris, who was raised more as Barb's pet than as a person?

Lol, dont give Chris any ideas, or he will drive barb up to New York and drops her off at Carnegie Hall and drives off.

ITS UR PROBLEM NOW, LADDA BITCHHHHHHHH
Haha, don't even stop, just slow down a bit and dump her on the curb.
I think we like to paint Barb as utterly evil and self centered, and yeah she's pretty unlikable, but I do think Barb tried to do what she could for Chris when he was younger. I can't imagine what it would be like to raise a severely autistic kid in the 80s. Something deffinetly snapped in her in the late 90s after she retired, but let's not act like she didn't love Chris and just mentally abused him his entire life. In fact, Chris genuinely looked happy as a child.

The only thing that Barb tried to do, above and beyond the call of duty, was when she took a second job to avoid Chris getting sent to tard school. Otherwise I think it was her standard parenting.

Though I do think she loved and still does love Chris. However she loves him like a pet. Like if your house is on fire, you'll do everything you can to save your pets, but if it's your pets vs dying (at least if you're thinking about it logically, which you rarely are in the heat of the moment, but...), you'll save yourself.

That's what Barb's relationship with Chris is like: her survival (including financially) is paramount. Chris' well being, including after she's gone, is secondary.
You know how Barb lived with the shame of being away from her family and checking out? She didn't feel any. You can't love your child and be separated for a decade. That's not how love works.
Barb took the second job in an effort to help Chris. She was just ignorant about the facts.
Isn't Cole's biological father Ron Coleman Yeatts?
No clue. Solid chance his biological father was Jack Dale Smithey, as Barb says.

Bob being unintentionally cuckolded is probably more a compliment than Chris being his biological son.
I think there's a real possibility Bob isn't Chris's real father. Bob claimed to have Native American heritage and given his swarthy, asiatic facial features he was probably telling the truth. Chris' 23andme, on the other hand, showed him to be 99.9% Western European (despite erroneously claiming that it demonstrated black and Jewish admixture.) https://kiwifarms.net/threads/yt-fb-3-31-chris-claims-part-jewish-and-african-ancestry.41027/

There is considerable reason to suspect Chris's parentage, but appearance isn't necessarily one of them. Bob's genes could have been recessive (they certainly were in a behavioral sense!) and it's not uncommon for Americans to have bad information about their ancestors.

The reason to doubt who Chris's father is is, quite simply, his mom is a known whore and liar. That's not meant to a-log, but those are the qualities Barb has been known to have throughout her life. She's emotionally manipulative and uses sex to get what she wants. I would personally hold off on ASSUMING Chris has a father other than Bob, but you'd be silly to dismiss the possibility outright.

Personally, I've always favored the theory that Bob was starting to second-guess his marriage to Barb, and so she conveniently got knocked up right around the time Bob was bookmarking the "Divorce Lawyers" section of the phone book.

There's absolutely no reason that someone in their teens couldn't reasonably be asked to cook for themselves. I bet the complaints about the food were chronic and she finally just bought TV dinners and told them to make their own.

Being completely autistic is consistent with having an elderly father.

Are you calling Bob a cuck?

Fite me irl.
Say that to my face, fucker, not online and see what happens!!! REEEEEE!!!

He already was trooning when Bob was alive and Chris was acting like a dipshit when Bob was still around chopping down internets.

Hell if anything he's pretty much the same dipshit we've seen since 2007. The difference is that Barb is around to enable it without Bob to sorta put a foot down. The Gamestop Incident and the Gameplace Massacre would have probably still happened seeing as it was just not having Bob in the car. Hell I wonder how that whole situation would have gone done with that filthy Jew rat Michael Snyder if Bob was in the car. He'd probably tell them to throw it in reverse and run that kike over again, for Jaysus.

Bob had a phone call with I believe Alec and said there was a conspiracy that involved identity theft and credit card fraud at the GamePlace against Chris. Remember how Bob went on about there were a couple fags fucking with Chris there and that since it's a business anyone can just be a tard?

Bob wasn't the most sane person (sanest in that household but the bar is lower than Chris' saggy man tits) if you go back and look at some of his antics.

You're kinda cherrypicking there.

Bob wasn't particularly religious or bigoted.

In regards to credit card fraud, at one point a troll got Chris' credit card number and overdrafted it.

In regards to the game place, 14BC was being harassed by dipshits constantly calling the house and yelling julay. I don't think Bob could've believed the extent of the bizarre internet cult surrounding Chris. His options were: tens of thousands of random strangers around the world are harassing his retarded son for no reason OR it's some kids who know him IRL who are fucking with him, like a particularly spergy teenaged prank (like toilet papering people's houses or ding dong ditch, but with autism).

It's was "get off my lawn!" but on a global scale haha.

And honestly, Bob was right to be paranoid: there IS an international conspiracy involving thousands of people out to make fun of his son. That's a fucking fact.

I thought she just got the one job at Dominion?

Though I do think she loved and still does love Chris. However she loves him like a pet.

A pet that provides for her needs.

She was just ignorant about the facts.

The facts of his condition? She chose that.

I might be too harsh here, but I feel like she could have cared more. I think some stuff they did right, and you're right; Barb contributed.

There's absolutely no reason that someone in their teens couldn't reasonably be asked to cook for themselves. I bet the complaints about the food were chronic and she finally just bought TV dinners and told them to make their own.

Agreed.

Being completely autistic is consistent with having an elderly father.

Yes.

I thought she just got the one job at Dominion?
Right, I meant she got a job to help support the family.
The facts of his condition? She chose that.
Well, "facts" are certainly stretching it. I meant to say that, if you believe that mainstreaming was the right choice (which it legitimately might've been), then she facilitated that by getting the second job.

If you don't believe mainstreaming was the right choice, then you simply disagree with Barb about the right conclusion to come to. It doesn't say anything about whether she did or didn't care about Chris.
I might be too harsh here, but I feel like she could have cared more. I think some stuff they did right, and you're right; Barb contributed.
What signals to you that she didn't care enough?

Pretty sure if Bob was still alive (God bless the lumberjacks soul) he would've surely cut down the internet as soon as Chris started prancing around in women's cloths, and even moreso when Chris said he was a tomgirl/troon. All the bullshit with Wise wouldn't have happened either, because if I remember correctly, Bob also monitored Chris accounts fairly regularly and Chris got his ass seemed when he spent too much. Point is, if Bob was still alive, Chris would still be the old Chris....not the fucking delusional shithead we know today.
