No one knows virtually anything about Bob's kids. It's not a fair comparison when you have a list of one guy's flaws, and know nothing about the other party. Cole was born when Barb was in her prime age for child bearing, and had an abusive and neglectful childhood, none of that compares to Chris.

you know its kind of funny. cole smithy wants to be well known but because of his brother, he has to isolate himself from the internet somewhat. his facebook and twtiter are heavily restricted.. his yotube channel is basically dead. he has no chris related comments so he either deletes them all or filters stuff out. his own movie reviewing website restricts comments.
how can you become well known if you literally blockade yourself from the internet?
he did all this to avoid chris, but in doing so, chris is controlling his life.
think about it logically, chris is always in his mind because he tailors his life to avoid chris.
Chris live in Coles head, rent free.

He could've been famous had he open up about his biological link to Chris
Heck had he done so much earlier, imagine all the youtubers willing to interview him about his reaction to what transpired.

But as you said, he blockaded himself from the internet
to avoid Chris whilst always thinking about Chris

Maybe to some degree... he has a little bit of that insanity in him all along.

After Change the Channel, is there anyone else other than Cinema Snob or Nostalgia Critic? Seems like everyone jumped ship and are doing their own thing. More to your question, Cole is more like Doug Walker.
 
I feel a lot of sympathy for Cole. His writing style is very affected, and his opinions on movies usually seem to be purely contrarian rather than based on any genuine sense of taste he's developed. But being a film critic is a civilized thing to aspire to, and he's clearly put a lot of work into it.

The horrible irony is that his aspirations (to appear sophisticated and worldly) are so totally opposed to anything that could come out of his association with his green-haired, Pokemon-card-playing half-brother. It's like if Frank Sinatra were constantly followed around by a drooling, nude hunchback; it would totally spoil the impression.
 
I think Cole has chosen to feign ignorance or not look into the dementia merge. Im sure hes to some degree aware chris and his mother did something sexual that got them in trouble. But he's pretending like barb isnt his mom chris isnt his brother and he doesnt care. Maybe if we learn for certain barb has alzheimers and it was rape MAYBE he'll do or say something but I HIGHLY doubt it.

Totally cutting Chris out of his life was the smartest decision Cole could have made. I mean, if your half brother was an disgusting, insane, mother rapist, wouldn't you try to distance yourself from him?
 
Honestly Cole probably wouldn’t even have a thread if it weren’t had been accidentally discovered through his infamous half-brother, he’s legit the least interesting ‘cow’ here on the entire site, just a run of the mill pretentious faux movie ‘critic’ douchebag that wouldn’t be out of place In any AV club forum or wanky coffee shop you’d see anywhere in New York. It’s kind of amazing we’ve talked this much about him.

They won’t because no one knows who Cole Smithy is. His only accomplishments in life are a bad review of a children’s film (itself a cry for attention) and being mocked by Roger Ebert.

And doesn’t Uwe Boll make shit films that get made fun of? do film critics even care about that shit?
