Cole barely knew Chris before that Parrapa bullshit and he knew him even less after it. They were never really in each other's lives. Cole left Virginia as soon as he could then pretty much cut Barb out of his life entirely. At this point speculating as to Cole's opinions on his family is like asking him for his opinion on a total stranger.

I'm sure the guy was all kinds of fucked up when he heard what happened. Who wouldn't be? But he's also smart enough to have stayed out of this nonsense for almost 20 years, and he's smart enough to keep staying out of it
 
Everyone talks about Cole because he puts himself in the public spotlight but what do you think his other siblings are thinking right now.

Not sweet at all and in his reasoning he said that Cole was an "asshole to [him]." Chris and Barb realized that anything tangential to his life could net some cash ($2465 that month alone) and they really started going ham on it. He included these certificates on a lot of the shit they moved so it's not like it was special to them in any way, he just thought that including Cole's self-given moniker would make it even more authentic.
 
I feel bad for Cole. He seems pretentious/unlikable but just imagine if you wanted to distance yourself from your dysfunctional family and it was Barbara Anne Boleyn Weston and Christian Weston Chandler. Most people in that situation have the luxury of doing it privately, and are able to move on with their lives. I can't even imagine the stuff people have contacted him with through the years. Now Chris has finally made it into worldwide mass media, for rape and incest. This has to be the worst it has ever been for him.

I thought Cole knew Chris somewhat better? Didn't he attend one of Chris' birthdays or am I just misremembering?

Cole popped up occasionally, at that point he hadn't totally cut his mother out of his life. From a distance looking in his relationship with her was the kind of relationship a lot of people have with their deadbeat parents, now and then they feel obligated to stop by or call but in general they want nothing to do with them. But going to your brother's birthday party one year isn't the same as an actual relationship, and in Cole's emails with chris it is obvious that the two barely know anything about each other. By the time Chris was born Cole had already gotten the fuck out of Virginia and never looked back.
