My top Season 5 prediction will be the major Holocaust allegory with death camps and a person taking power in a time of turmoil. Homelander will blame humans for everything and start talking about how Supes are the next level of human evolution. People will either be forced to take Compound V, or they will have Supes for disposing of humans en masse that don't support the regime. Starlight, A-Train, and any other Supe that wants a free redemption arc will all be together as a guerilla fighting force that liberates camps. There will be a plotline about breaking into the lab under Godolkin and saving the Gen V cast.
Soldier Boy is going to be the weapon that the Homelander regime will use to strip powers from Supes that don't want to bend the knee. Obviously all they have to do is give Soldier Boy drugs and alcohol and he will do what they want. There will probably be a plot about Homelander wanting to have a father/son relationship with Soldier Boy to make up for his failings with Ryan. Probably will backfire on Homelander somehow and Soldier Boy will call Homelander a fascist and take his powers away or kill him. It would be insane if they kill Homelander off almost immediately just to fuck with people, but they wont because he's THE character of the franchise.
Also they show Firecracker absolutely has the Supe Virus and has passed it to Homelander already via breastmilk. They confirm that it's transmissible through bodily fluids. Its something nobody in the story will realize has happened but will be a major factor going forward. I can't tell if Season 5 Butcher is going to be a villain or an anti-hero. Obviously he isn't fully gone if he let Neuman's daughter and the other main characters live, but I can't exactly see him being allied with them.
I already made a prediction with Sage that she will be using her position to do more fucked up shit she can think up, probably going to be the Mengele of the Holocaust allegory, but also I bet she's going to take on a "mean girl" persona because she knows Homelander will protect her. This will probably backfire on her. I'm predicting a lot of ironic or poetic deaths to characters next season. There's this thing that normie writers do where they use extremely obvious literary devices to make midwit watchers feel smart for realizing.
They already ruined Frenchie and Kimiko's plots so I really don't care where that shit goes. Hughie and MM are just going to be tossed around by the plot and shit out the exact same as they always were.

I'm a big Final Fantasy fan and FF7 covered those political problems without attacking the two sides of the political scale, focusing more on the actual problem instead of who was doing it. More of a "Hey we should probably take care of the earth before it fucks us all over" tone. Granted Japan is very conservative socially.
FF7 also did DEI correct. Barrett felt like a real character, because of the good writing. Which itself is probably a result from how
S3 is where I started to really be unable to avoid all of the political BS. Then this season happened and I'm 100% able to ignore it. I had high hopes for this show. I'm sad to see such potential flushed down the drain to help further a presidential candidate who poops his pants in public.

She shouldn't have it. Also Homelander would immediately be able to tell she's infected based on his sense of smell and taste. Ryan immediately knew that Butcher had something wrong with him based on smell alone. And Homelander instantly knew that Butcher had a tumor as well by being in the same room with him for all of one second.

I dunno but how else would you explain the scene where she was obviously sick and Homelander made her move down the table away from him. Also she was shown being physically exhausted in the scene where they were hunting down all the employees in Vought. She said it was from the medication and it could have been played for laughs, but I don't know if they would have a throwaway scene in a season finale that wasn't setting something up. That was just the conclusion I drew. I could be totally wrong.

Though to be fair for the first two: Amber breaks up with Mark and they retconned her bitchy traits in season 2, and with Lois, they do have her realize that she’s too much of a bitch.
Though Starlight is the worse of the three because of Kripke never admitting anything she did is wrong. Every time starlight bitches about something she’s always in the right from being a bitch to Hughie, her hypocritical behavior, and even killing a completely innocent guy then getting away with it.
The worst thing Starlight admitted to being wrong for was her being mean to Firecracker when they were kids. Even her beating Firecracker up publicly was brushed to the side.

The thing is, unlike modern Marxist feminism, past works like FF7 didn't see the white man as the enemy. So a guy like Barrett is just a badass who happens to be black, and Tifa is a powerful fighter who just happens to be a woman. With big tits. That's a big no-no in the eyes of the Left. They just became more and more woke as the show went on, testing their boundaries to see what they could get away with. So it makes sense that in Seasons 3 and 4, they'd go full woke, especially since it's ending in Season 5 and they've got nothing left after that. It's already approved, so they thought they might as well.
