DBZ honestly had it right. You don't get dramatically stronger or weaker without a reason and if you do that reason is clearly explained.

Man I can't believe a dumb anime about sweaty men screaming at each other can do this shit correctly but capeshit with 400+ million dollar budgets can't.
That's because DBZ was a passion project by Akira Toriyama, whereas the Boys is just capeshit by people who say they hate capeshit, but can't do anything outside of it.

Early season Homelander being so fast, deft, and agile enough to carry a human safely out of an already happening explosion, being capable of locating and lasering down a plane, and zipping up to space and back down. Reduced to being 'Yeah he's kinda tough and can float away like a balloon' is pathetic lol.

Does he maybe need a little blue pill? Is next season going to be Homelander being power impotent and needing Compound V(iagra) to juice on? Also does anyone care about Starlights powers being on the fritz? Does she? Do the writers?

Hughie is such a complete bitch in this season (and all bar season 1 actually.) it's making it basically unwatchable. All he does is cry, and whimper, and self flagellate. Starlight is a disease in that mans life.

He's pushing his body to the point where it's breaking down permanently and cannot keep up with the healing. He needs more and more V to sustain his healing to the point where has to inject himself so often that he needs gallons of the stuff.
Ok, but this is clearly not true. In season 1 its made abundantly clear that what's killing atrain is his substance abuse. His coach even makes reference to the fact that his heart is getting bigger and his balls are getting smaller, referencing steroids.

Atrain was dying because he couldn't cope with the fact that he was getting older and kept doing steroids to keep up with younger atheletes, he can't dying because he was pushing himself, he was dying because he was doing an alegory for steroids.

The problem is that the steroids in question are inconsistent as fuck.

I haven't seen gen V, so idunno maybe its explained there, but I doubt it.

When did Starlight’s power start failing? Is there an actual reason for this? I honestly remember. Are they doing it just for the plot so it will suddenly start working in the final episode to save the day?
There's no reason given, at least to my knowledge. From season 3 onward the power levels of the supes have drastically nerfed for unexplained reasons.

I assume the power impotence in Starlight is due to her hitting the Wall. Hughie needs to get himself a younger superwoman to behave like an insufferable simp towards.

Eric Kripke, more like Eric KripKIKE, am I right?

EDIT: Also I like "The Soys". For some reason, Homelander grew soft on me, despite him being a massive asshole. I don't know, I thought he started to carry the show - Anthony Starr that is.

I need to sperg out a little on this shit, just take a look at this:

> nigger uses tools of a jew to kill a bunch of "white chuds"

I'm going to link a Sam Hyde clip here, but the TL;DW is that ugly/disgusting people make media of high production of stories that are immoral and gross. A lot of resources goes into creating stuff that has nothing of moral value, that is a sign of people who don't deserve "to be around" us.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=RSjf2Zz2178
Eric Kripke is a textbook example of a jew who can't create something of beauty, he can only direct repulsive images and turn everything into a hideous story with nothing inspiring or worth remembering. It really is just a moral snuff film, if you legitimately enjoy this show, you are a disgusting piece of shit. Some stuff should not be made/produced or be preserved, because it has no value and is just made to demoralize you. This is why you should always be careful when consuming jew made media, because it's fucked up. The "it's a warning about..." meme doesn't excuse this shit.

I wanted to make a list of all the pozzed shit in this show, but it's literally every single scene, why even bother.

Also, shout out to Bigbunjeeeeee being the only anti-redditor on youtube calling this show out for how shit it really is.
Thank you, for recommending this. I think you are right, this is basically "moral snuff films", the ground zero being Inglorious Basterds.

I was talking to someone about this the other day and the best explanation we came up with was that she was effected by Soldier Boy's anti supe beam that took away Kimiko's powers when she got hit. I'm calling it, the entire arc of Starlight this season has been her identity crisis if she is Starlight or Annie, there's going to be a point where she has to decide if she is going to take Compound V to get her powers back or give it all up to be a normal human.

I never really understood the concept of that. I mean, if you're on the good guy side, you wouldn't be the kind who'd enjoy snuff films. You'd look at the bad guy and think ''if only he wasn't bad, he could've been my brother.'' Kind of like how regular Superman looked at Injustice Superman at the end of the first Injustice game. But that's not who these people are. These people are disgusting, morally degenerate people, who hate beautiful things in culture, who don't want to make things of beauty, who just want to point at something, call them evil, and have disgusting things be done to them.

And yet they're surprised when people love the guys they want everyone else to hate. Homelander especially, since he's their Super-Trump, yet the ''good guys'' in the show are so ineffective that people fall in love with the villain instead. Even him going full cuckoo last episode and drinking titty milk from the redneck girl Firecracker is a lot less disgusting than that one guy who went all human centipede on himself. Or everything involving Tek-Knight and the actual Webweaver.

And again, it's fucking hilarious, considering that the white ''chuds'' that Kripke hates are far less hateful than the people he wants to butter up. Especially modern leftists who see Israelis and Zionists as fascsist pigs. Funny how Kripke would have a black man smack a white guy with a menorah, when nowadays, the WASP dudes and the rest of white Americana are the only people willing to throw down for Jews and Israel, whereas the average black dude probably doesn't give a rat's ass about Jews unless they're Republicans.

It's still fucking hilarious that they think billionaires would be disgusted at the idea of giving money to organizations like BLM, when they do that all the damn time just to look good.

Capeshit writing. Homelander is as fast, powerful, and intelligent as the plot needs him to be. Season 1 Homelander would've wondered where Tek-Knight went, figured out with his X-Ray where to go, would've found out Annie, Kimiko, and Hughie in the basement, and lasered them in half while sermoning Tek-Knight for letting his guard down.

Same thing goes for Starlight. The plot needs her powers to be on the fritz, so it's on the fritz. Never mind that she's had more traumatic things done to her in the past, like when the Deep fucked her, yet her powers still worked fine.

Hughie is such a complete bitch in this season (and all bar season 1 actually.) it's making it basically unwatchable. All he does is cry, and whimper, and self flagellate. Starlight is a disease in that mans life.
He really is Starlight's twink. Maeve was right.

It destroys who you are on the inside, basically. And I don't know if this term was ever coined or used in the English language whatsoever, but in Portuguese it is called "The Good/Allowed Hatred" (O ódio do bem). Meaning, the two minutes of hatred in which the party allows you to spew the hatred towards targets, in this case White Men, Christians and also White Women who are loyal to their husbands & anyone else who doesn't follow "the current thing". Even with all those teachings of "you'll lose yourself, oh these things of love waxing cold", it seems many only pay attention when the focus is of the """other side""" commiting crimes (let's say someone had enough and decides to give payback for suffering).

But yes, not to go other topic, hypocrisy is how it goes. I still have a feeling these ills have a long way to go.

Indeed. It shatters any attempt at goodwill the authors have, and it just makes the whole thing seem vindictive and petty. As if people will come to hate WASP Christians and American conservatives just because of the show. Best case scenario, they ignore the political parts, worst case scenario for Amazon, the audience shuts off the show and cancels their subscription to Amazon Prime.

But yes, not to go other topic, hypocrisy is how it goes. I still have a feeling these ills have a long way to go.
On topic, as I've said before, they should've stuck to making this a tragedy about Homelander. A Superman expy born to be the paragon of the country, but in reality he is nothing more but a corporate product. He was made to keep the shareholders happy, since they could no longer control Soldier Boy and they had to replace the guy. Homelander never had loving parents; he had a rough childhood, treated like dirt by the company that controls him like a puppet. He finally rises to the occasion and takes command, only for the burden of command to be far worse than he imagined, and he eventually lashes out at the world, and when he finally dies, he dies sad and alone, wishing that he had been born different, thinking that if he were born normal to a normal family that loved him, none of this would've ever happened.

There's compelling stuff buried under the juvenile sex and political satire, and they're not focusing on it. They'd rather focus on dipshit political satire that was already old back when Obama was in office, jabs at religious and political conservatives that just makes thinking people roll their eyes. They focus on things that add nothing to the story, and instead, pull the story down.

She can never go back to being just Annie because of whatever the fuck happened to her face

He’s in one of those kind of relationships where he’s forced to be the woman of the house.

Correct me if i'm a complete dumbass, but wasn't the message that Inglorious Basterds tried to push basically "horrific war crimes are completely justified as long as you are on the winning side"? Pretty sure it also ended with the main character realizing that he's probably going to get hung so he decides to go out doing as much heinous shit possible.

I do think that was intentional yes but in my opinion it was done much more skillfully there. They Bastards were never portrayed as sympathetic character but rather as psychopathic murderors in their own right.

Compare LT Rain to someone like Abby from TLOU2. We don't spend half of Inglorious Bastard's runtime on flashbacks of a rosy cheeked 10 year old Aldo Rain to make us sympathize with and think he's not a psycho.

This kind of lefty writing has always existed but its way more blatant, propagandistic, and outright awful now, its gotten so much worse.

It would actually require some amount of effort to design practical props or even a CGI model which would take away from the writers who want to be paid $70,000 a year (isn't enough btw) to write safe edgy fart and gore jokes.

I'm genuinely surprised they didn't make Tek Knight into an Elon Musk expy (Elon Derangement Syndrome arguably rivals TDS lately) and his only 'superpower' is that he has 1000 I.Q. that enables him to create really advanced tech. Something like a Tinker from the Worm novel series.

They could even handwave that his sole weakness as to why he can't share the technology he creates with the world is that his power has a severe blindspot when it comes to teaching others on how to recreate his technology. Therefore he's basically only one man who can design and actually create his equipment.
Im bothered that they put so little effort into the "Tek Cave". No suit, no bat computer analogue, no parody of Batmans "trophies" like the dinosaur and giant penny. Nope, its just a small sex dungeon he keeps his gimp sidekick in. They put more effort into the CGI for web weavers web asshole than they did for a character they've teased since season 1 and spent a whole spinoff setting up.

The barn is in the middle of the woods.
The party is also in the middle of the woods.
Season 04 Butcher said, “You can fly, but you knock out the entire power grid.”

Wanted it so she can only use her power if she’s near lots of electric infrastructure for Victoria to later exploit since it was set up that she noticed it.

Rewatching season one, and - besides how achingly pretty Erin used to be - one of the things that stood out to me, was just how 'lived' in the world feels compared to the later seasons. It felt busy, like there was a real world that the characters were part of. Also Homelander used his laser eyes a lot. Like, a lot. As a threat, as an attack, sometimes just as aesthetic for himself. The power to literally kill you with a look was a great way of showing just how disconnected and different to everyone else he is. Putting aside his super strength and flight and all that, the man can literally murder you by looking at you too hard.

He also was - as @LORD IMPERATOR - says; a much more tragic seeming figure than he is now. Some of scenes with him where he's trying to have some sort of human connection, come off as pitiable. The farm one I thought was especially good. Man throws a baseball to entertain himself and is immediately told off by his mother/romantic figure. He was also so much colder and more calculating than later seasons.

EDIT: Compare for example, the scene from S1, where Homelander kills the terrorist cell. The soldiers are all stacked up, serious and ready to rumble. He arrives, mocks around for a bit, pats them on the shoulder, then calmly slaughters every single guy in the building inside of 2-3 minutes. It's less gory, and extreme and over the top than any of the other 'gore-shot' scenes; but does it so much better than any of the others. The casual brutality of it, the relief on Homelanders face as he gets to finally just let loose, the soldiers staring at him slack jawed as he casually exterminates an enemy that they've been gearing up for a training for for a good few weeks.

Hell, even the way that Homelander and Butcher interact is way better, the talk between them, how tired Butcher is, how totally and utterly 'done' Homelander seems with pandering to people, or even humouring peoples bullshit social games and how refreshed he seems when Butcher says he just wants to murder someone Homelander seems to like.
