The trailer was very underwhelming, Butler has a terminal illness, not impactful because his entire lifestyle amounts to killing supes no matter the cost and the other characters ping pong from tolerating to hating him. Continuing the Homelander fans = Trump supporters theme with possible allusions to Trump's 2024 campaign messaging(depending on when those lines were written and recorded). We're supposed to feel bad when Homelander and co. kill corrupt white male politicians(who in the audience does this work for? Audience members who root for or against him?). Walking Dead baseball bat guy talking about concentration camps for non-supes, Homelander = Hitler I guess. Haha funny moment when they test the supe killing virus by injecting farm animals with compound V. Mostly retread shit from the last two seasons, feels like an entire season of filler and setting things up for season five to give some conclusion to the Homelander vs. US government storyline. At least it looks like they won't rely too hard on Gen V, I ain't watching that shit.

The spoilers don't even do anything for me. Frenchie gay? Who cares? We already know he was a prostitute and deviant, plus he's rarely relevant to the main plot. I can buy the writers spending significant time between this and the Hughie fiancé subplot to pad out the lack of main plot progression. The Boys being hunted down by supes? How is this any different from every other season?

Are they aware of fan reaction to Erin Moriarty's jarring plastic surgery? The trailer looks purposefully cut to only show her in the background or for half a second at a time.

First season is so much different than the rest it's unreal. Very similar to Westworld on HBO. Where its first season was incredible. Then it declined at the most rapid pace of probably any television show up to that point. You could argue the same for Invincible as well. First season moves at breakneck pace with its plot. Then the second season might as well be purely filler.
What (I think) happened is, the first show was a gamble with inexperienced (read, actually talented) showmakers.

Once it takes off, the talent gets booted, and big names take over, so they can get their names onto the big shows and boost their portfolio.

They dumb down the show and appeal to the suits and it tanks in quality. They are also genuinely retarded and can't write a show to save their lives.

How do you guys think that the series will end? I think that they will introduce the black noir/homelander clone story line now and he will be the final enemy just like the comic. But at the same time homelander can see trough his costume so how they would hide it?

Probably something to do with Ryan. There is no way they'll do the comic book ending since Noir in the TV show is clearly different from Noir in the comic book.

They aren't doing the Homelander clone stuff from the comics. This show has four seasons of content left at least. Boys season four, GEN V season two, Boys Mexico season one, then finally Boys season five. If they don't end it there they can keep stretching for more and more seasons. Season four will have zero members of the Seven die nor members of the Boys die. Meaning it's another season of zero movement for almost anything. Time stands still for the main cast.

Very likely the last season is a bloodbath and everyone dies in the end except for Hughie and the Deep.

The boys Mexico? A series about juiced up cartel members? This could be enteresting but i doubt that will they will fill with sjw bullshit and have character winnie about latino opression in america probably writren by third generation "mexicans" that don't even speak spanish anymore.

I've only seen parts of series, but I have read the comic book. My favourite part is when the discount X-men, called the G-men are gathering up all of the different G-men schools and the all black-G-men act like niggers and are treated as such, too. I also liked when they went out on the town celebrating St.Patrick's day and one of the niggers asked Hughie "Isn't this like the old country, mate?" and Hughie's "Actually, I'm Scottish" and the nigger didn't understand him.

In the comic, the Japanese girl and the French guy did not have a romantic relationship, but I think they do in the tv series. That's weird.

Kimiko has been BOGGED.

None can escape the BOGGING.

Waiting for the retcon that Compound V exposure fucks up girls' faces and cheeks. It's a literal bogpill.

The first season was written by a Greek. Season 2 on wards was written by a Jew. Hence the anti-white shit, and massive nigger worship.

Thats it, tale as old as time.

A bunch of new spoilers dropped, this season sounds absolutely retarded if true. Just more of the same wasting time and no plot progression so they can churn out more seasons of slop. I recently learned that the producer is the guy who did like 20 seasons of Supernatural, this all makes sense now.

Eric Kripke has absolutely no intention on toning down the politics, and is in fact proud to be doubling down on them,.

“When Seth [Rogen] and Evan [Goldberg] and I took it out to pitch, it was 2016. We just wanted to do a very realistic version of a superhero show, one where superheroes are celebrities behaving badly. Trump was the, “He’s not really getting the nomination, is he?” guy. When he got elected, we had a metaphor that said more about the current world. Suddenly, we were telling a story about the intersection of celebrity and authoritarianism and how social media and entertainment are used to sell fascism. “

“We’re right in the eye of the storm,” he added. “And once we realized that, I just felt an obligation to run in that direction as far as we could.”
Met with the observation from O’Connell that The Boys regularly presents “parallels to current events”, Kripke then noted that the series’ timely commentary was a actually somewhat of a coincedence, as “It’s happened now almost every season, and we write them sometimes close to two years before they air and again we’ll find that the news is accurately reflecting whatever we’re talking about.”

“It’s not a spoiler to say that first episode [of season four], Homelander [played by Antony Starr] is on trial,” said Kripke. “A big concern is ‘Can you convict someone that powerful of a crime?’ And what does that mean for the various supporters or the people protesting him? Did I know it was going to come out during Trump’s trial? Of course not. But we write what we’re either scared of or pissed off about. Someone asked me last year, about season three, ‘How are you so prescient with cops and over-policing in Black neighborhoods?’ Well, it’s been a problem for over 100 years. It was a problem five years ago, and, unfortunately, it’s going to be a problem five years from now. It’s always the same s–t.”
To this end, O’Connell next asked Kripke as to how he was able to “digest the uglier reaction to that”, particularly in regards to the “multiple headlines” the reporter had personally seen describing the series as “woke”.

In turn, Kripke declared, “I clearly have a perspective, and I’m not shy about putting that perspective in the show.”

“Anyone who wants to call the show ‘woke’ or whatever, that’s OK,” he concluded. “Go watch something else. But I’m certainly not going to pull any punches or apologize for what we’re doing. Some people who watch it think Homelander is the hero. What do you say to that? The show’s many things. Subtle isn’t one of them. So if that’s the message you’re getting from it, I just throw up my hands.”

Writers really want to just hold their audience's hands through everything huh. I'm tired of these faggots, they've existed since forever but they torpedo their own work just to appeal to their delusions and their little soapbox. Nothing worse than a creative that is so meta-aware he has the need to be the "groundbreaking" artist.

Erin Moriarty's jarring plastic surgery

:stress: :stress: :stress:

I would say her acting career is over after the Boys.

Even tho she turned into the grim reaper, I still feel sympathy for her because of how much she cares for her cute little doggos. She made an absolutely terrible horrifying decision and made herself look like another soulless plastic Goblin but she is a caring person. Her face matched her personality back then, now she looks like a completely different person. Look at these 2 photos, the left one looks warm & friendly, the right one cold, arrogant and fake.

Kimiko has been BOGGED.
Karen Fukuhara too?? WTF is wrong with these women??
