OK, but what is the source of these leaks? And why do they get a major character's name wrong, why are they completely unable to spell 'Tek-Knight', and why do they reference a character having a threesome with a character who was killed in the last season?

I'm saying fake and, I daresay, gay as well.

Oh they misspelled must be fake. :lossmanjack:

The same guy that played Black Noir, is now being credited for playing Black Noir II for season 4 if you look at the cast list.

The show runners also already confirmed that someone else would be assuming the Noir role after the episode of his death released.
Also "no one's ever really gone" (except the actor who killed himself with a motorcycle, he's really gone). Soldier Boy is coming back at the end of the season. They did the fake death with Maeve already and Stormfront (who is still alive and will likely be in another scene in the fifth season). They de-powered Kimiko then immediately brought her powers back an episode later. They never pull the trigger on deaths anymore in this show. Or permanent consequences of practically anything.

This show is similar to Game of Thrones or Invincible. Where the first season was front loaded with major deaths. Then from that point on almost everyone is equipped with plot armor and no one is capable of actually dying anymore. Where it is so bad that no one even expects anyone to die anymore. "Oh Jon Snow is getting resurrected obviously".

If the leaks are true, which seems likely, then Homelander, Ryan, Soldier Boy, and all of the Boys will be alive at the start of the fifth season. We get another season of them treading water and doing nothing. And killing off minor characters and new characters.

At least Invincible has actual story progression and the guy who wrote the comics is involved to prevent it from turning another The Boys where the status quo is reset every season and nothing actually changes. The stakes are ramping up and the violence serves a purpose instead of just being needless gore porn. The creators are also capable of responding to criticism, like with the character change of Mark's girlfriend. I think as Invincible goes on it will still be watchable and progress towards a natural conclusion. Robert Kirkman is taking the show as an oppourtunity to improve on and mature his original work, The Boys is just an excuse for a hack Jew writer to feign edginess and turn Homelander into a stand in for MAGA/Trump. The fans of the TV series shit on the comic and claim the show is better but at least the comic had a clear end point, the show will just continue on indefinitely and nothing will ever happen because they don't wanna kill off their cash cow. Homelander's cultural impact is so outsized compared to the rest of the show that even my wife forgot the actual name and calls it "the Homelander show", they cant kill off Homelander or have him do something with world ending/apocalyptic consequences.

Some episode one spoilers. Three episodes will drop during the premier as well.

- First episode is a few months after season three ended but closer to the ending of GEN-V.
- Naked shots of Homelander in bed. Homelander has prostate cancer or an enlarged prostate.
- Homelander requests that the Deep blow someone and Deep goes to do it but Homelander laughs at him and calls him "fish fucker".
- There is a January 6 style riot. The Boys and other Superheroes are there and there is a big fight.
- Frenchie and Kimiko are thrown from a skyscraper roof. Starlight can now fly and saves Frenchie. Kimiko splats and breaks her bones but slowly heals.
- There are Homelander memes similar to Jesus Christ riding a raptor.
- Butcher's Tyler Durden hallucination recalls them fighting in the military against terrorists. Starlight thinks that Butcher is insane.
- Todd (the dude cucking MM) is killed by Homelander in a private meeting of Homelander supporters.
- Hughie throws acid on Nueman to try to assassinate her but fails. Her face and eyes are severely burned.

lmao what fucking character change

Amber has been the most obnoxious cunt in the history of television since the moment she was introduced and they've done nothing to fix her other than make her MORE annoying.

Even excluding the fact that she got nigrified all the changes they made to her from the comic only served to make her worse, making her know mark is a superhero and still chosing to act pissy only made her look like a psychopath, and the way they handled her in season 2?

"This isn't about being brave or strong, I know i'm those things, this is different."
~Amber, Incarnated Avatar of the spirit of humility.

Amber's problem is basically that she's complaining about the fact she can't complain about or blame Mark for saving lives.

Invincible and the Boys are similar in that they are both amazon series with pretty good first seasons that shit the bed afterward.

Invincible still has a chance to recover because they've only fucked up on season, but it was by no means an improvement on season 1.

Man. I wished MM had payback himself. What a letdown.

Edit: Just realized these leaks are fake and gay-ish. Carry on.

Whelp, skipping this season. That was easy.

Always relevant:
Bill Hicks never disagreed with the democratic party when he was alive, he'd be hosting the late show instead of Colbert right now but doing the exact same material. Its ironic you even posted a clip of him considering The Boys as a tv show feels exactly like something Billy would love. attacks on right wing stuff, and gross out fun sex stuff.

I don't care about that bald dead arkie, I just like that video you spazz maticus.

What you guys think about Gen V? I can't like any of the characters, we are suppose to feel bad for them but they are a bunch of drug addicted college teens the whole thing kinda feels like a failed attempt to be hip with the kids specially with the bigender stuff. One thing, some students are capable of flying this make homelander's powers less unique and impressive.

No one in this show is likeable. No one in the comics is likeable either outside of a handful of characters. The Gen V characters are written like bullies or school shooters with super powers. The two people who run the school are literally trying to genocide all superheroes. Shetty wants all superheroes dead including the ones she cares for personally.

In the comics anyone who takes V or Temp V gains the ability to fly. Practically every superhero in the comics can fly like Homelander. In the show they changed it so that Homelander can fly on his own (so can Ryan). And a few other characters can fly using other powers like Swatto was a bug with wings or Stormfront could use electricity to propel herself or Golden Boy could use fire.

Homelander has a line "I'm the only man in the sky". The show change is better in my opinion. But the comics were made at a time where practically every comic book character could fly as well so it was parodying that.

Yeah! I forgot about stormfront and this random bug guy.

I read a bit of the comics and in my opinion making the main characteres more likeble in the show was a improvment, the original ones are unlikible in a bad way, the only one that i liked was french, kimiko and hughie wich is ironic since he the one that i least liked in the show. Too bad that the series is going to shit i really liked the first season.

This alone tells me, that you haven't read the actual comics, just skimmed through or read the wiki, like a consooming faggot. Compound V could be both inherrited from one or both parents, either through genetics (one or both parents were supes), partial exposure (inhaling, rubbing into skin, drinking or eating - MM's mother was exposed to particles in respurposed Vought facility she was working) or intravenous injection - that's how Boy's got their strengh, speed and resilience, compound V also slows aging - Mallory was 90 something when the comic started, Butcher was pushing 50. Artificial Compound V could be modified to give specifics abilities - or lack thereof, that's why none of the Boys could fly or developed additional powers. Children born with Compound V developed powers at random - both the time, when they activate and the type (Starlight powers activated at birth, blinding both her parents, MM retard brother developed gigantism when he was playing football, at 12 i think and his growing head was crushed by the helmet he was wearing - MM himself got his power during a boxing match, when he was 20 something). It was completely random, if someone would develop mallets for hands, pyrokinesis, or flight.

I genuinely think that Ennis's work is ill-suited as a base for some mainstream TV series, because all the changes that have to be made, to make the source material more appealing to the mainstream public, take away from what made the sources material great in the first place - warts and all.

I would sincery hope that people would give the source material a try (maybe with the exception of Crossed - that shit's just fucked-up torture/murder porn) instead of wasting time on the mediocrea TV adaptations.

That being said, i would consider The Boys -Diabolical as a more faithfull adaptation of the comic then the TV series - mainly because of the tone and portrayal of supes and Vought-American being closer to comic then the show., along with the episode on the less-fortunate, young supes, who got fucked in the genetic lottery.

I second this. Crossed is to date the most fucked thing I've ever read. That story where the main POV character is a creepy weirdo nerd who's entire arc is gaslighting a woman into being his sex slave as he kills her travelling companions one by one haunts me to this day. It was so bad that I deleted the entire Crossed collection I had after I finished everything, because I said, "damn, I never want to read this shit again."

Now on the other hand, as I'm sure people can tell, Punisher MAX is one of the greatest comics I've ever read.
