The Boys spin-off called Pewdiepie a Nazi.

So I guess Pewdiepie both exists in The Boys universe and had the exact same life somehow.

I'm really liking size girl in generation V. I think her character has major room for development in the show. The idea that she is only willing to grow larger to save a person she cares about and chooses to be smaller normally is indicative of a lack of confidence. The writers have a real opportunity to show her overcoming her insecurity by her embracing growing instead of shrinking. It's really lazy, but it would be cool.
Though there is probably some huge tradeoff to growing. Instead of shrinking.

I've only watched the first season and it seemed pretty alright, but it seems to have gone downhill since the second season.
It's something about modern shows that even if they have something good with the first season, they just have to shit the bed with the second season.

Also, one thing that made me chuckle with this show's development is how they accidentally made the main villain: Homelander, more appealing than the heroes of the story.

It's a similar situation to what happened with The Man In The High Castle, where people were much much more intrigued by Obergruppenfuhrer John Smith than Juliana Crain or Joe Blake.

To this day, I believe the show we should have gotten was a miniseries portraying the life of John Smith from just before American losing the war to his rise to the top of the American SS. His story is that of a man who watches the nation he served and loved fall apart around him, and who has to bite the pillow and commit evil and witness scarring horrors to protect himself and his family under an enemy occupation. At its core, its about watching a man kill himself slowly on the inside to do what he thinks is right. That is the show we should have gotten. That is the story I want to see.

On the subject of The Boys, I found the first season good but the second season poor and I haven't even touched the third season apart from watching the Homelander scenes on Youtube. The show's premise had promise but frankly with the people involved in the production its amazing the first season was any good at all.

First episode of Gen V synopsis:

HIV slinging protag murders parents with period blood and feels bad, genderfluid character's powers are a clusterfuck to edit, girl who gets small from bulemia climbs a penis, white man evil.

I knew this would be a woke insane shitshow when I saw the smug sheboon on a Gen V poster. This is how much wokist hack writers ruined entertainment. In the 90s and early 2000s people would be curious and even if the show was trash at least it wasn't woke trash.

But now the mere sight of a smug black woman who don't need no man poster is a red flag.

I honestly don't know if I should blame Seth Rogen or Eric Kripke for all this nonsense.

At the very least, I know all the folks on TV Tropes and Twitter are loving all this, as they see this and Season 3 as the show finally slapping the conservative fans in the face for them daring to like the series, or at the very least, thinking it wasn't against them to begin with. Less "undesirable" fans you could say, and now the show will only appeal to the ones who are liberal and good.

It’s hilarious how the supposed "vicious" (to use a word I've heard people use seriously to describe it) parody of superheroes and Marvel ended up engaging in some of the same practices, a bit. I mean, in the end The Boys is just another violent, crude "deconstruction" of superheroes that we've seen a lot of, mostly on the printed page, over the past couple of decades, it isn't that deep. There's no reason to go the MCU route, where you have to watch something else to get the full story, or something like that.

Basically film is going through the exact same shit that superhero comics went through 30 years ago. They've already made Watchmen and the first two volumes of Sandman, and they've done all the good Marvel stories up to Infinity Gauntlet, now it's down to lame "parodies", or really, knockoffs.

Good. He's a talentless hack that never made anything of value and only relied on others to make sense out of his slop. The comic is just a self - insert power fantasy made by a dweeb that can't draw. At least the show has something that's redeemable.

Calling Gen V a bridge to the fourth season is kind of a stretch. I don't think anyone needs to watch Gen V in order to get the gist of season 4. Everything will be addressed accordingly. Hopefully.

You rated my post dumb when it was something you agree with?

Lol. That was a dig, not a 'poor Garth'

Lurk more.

I stopped watching the whole of every episode with the third season. Now I only skim through for the bits where superpowers are used to gory effect, and those effects are damn impressive.

It's always Seth Rogen. See Preacher, i am a 100% convinced that his executive meddling led to the show being the piece of dogshit that it is. It's always Seth Rogen, another testament to jewish nepotism in the industry.
Not regarding the Pewdiepie stuff, who is the target audience for this shit? Terrible dialogue. Didn't even knew they're making a spin off, guess the The Boys writers realized they wrote themselves in a corner thanks to diverging so much from the comic books (especially in regards to the Black Noir - Homelander angle) and can't come up with something that makes sense to salvage whatever that shit writing in the piss poor third season was.

Serves him fucking right after being on board with what the Preacher show did to his story and characters, the fucking cunt. I say this as a die-hard Ennis fan boy, it's seriously disheartening to see that he not only once but twice sold out to showbiz now.

The main character of the show is dogshit. Truly. The actual bones of the show would be 100% improved by a lack of her. Seriously just remove her and the show could be salvaged.
The problem is that this show is a spinoff and so it can't move the plot of The Boys forward. And so they ended up getting he same (now tired) writing of The Boys where nothing happens. Complete with the same exact character types. And how they have the same exact powers as other characters from the main cast because all creativity is gone. The Boys is now a slog to watch because in three seasons there has been almost no plot development outside of the major revelations from season one (like super heroes are made with drugs). They have killed a grand total of two people from the first season essentially. Translucent and Stillwell and given everyone else plot armor. And then the show made a new pattern of introducing new characters just to kill them off quickly. And now they are introducing even more characters and not killing them. And when a character is killed.....a clone replacement immediately appears.

So we get Stormfront and Kimiko's brother and then they die that season. But oh wait Stormfront is still being kept alive in secret for a cameo in a later season. Then we get Supersonic and Soldierboy and his team and they die. But wait Soldier By and 'Noir' are coming back and Soldier Boy isn't even dead he's just frozen in a lab. And Maeve could come right back with another Compound V injection. Butcher is sick from Temp V? Just give him real V. Kimiko losers her powers? Just give her more V and go right back on every plot point.

Now the obviously predictable things happened in Gen V. They put the main characters on ice again instead of killing anyone. We get the new characters. A female uppity nigger who can bend blood. A shrinking person. Magnegro. The schizoid with his puppets. And so on. How many die? Basically just one. The rest survive and are in some type of stasis chamber waiting for Gen V season two. We've learned nothing and seen nothing because the show was not allowed to progress into The Boys season four.

Shetty died but she's just a Butcher clone so the show gives us nothing new. In fact the show does some faggy Marvel style cameo with Butcher getting the torch handed to him. Godolvkin died but he's just an Edgar clone with no depth or background. Golden Boy being the 'guy to beat Homelander' isn't interesting because we have Butcher on Compound V and Ryan Butcher to take on Homelander so his character wasn't going anywhere either.

The Boy is proving yet again that it is impossible to make super hero stories for adults. Because it eventually plummets into mediocrity rapidly.
Also I didn't give a shit about the shrinking girls desire to be youtube famous and chronically hate reading her comments. The idea that you couldn't somehow monetize being small enough to fuck around inside barbie houses, or other things like that. It would be able to print money like mad.
She can shrink to any size meaning she can perfectly match the scales of any toy. She can also blow herself up and be a stunt double for an actual Godzilla sized fight. She would be the most famous super hero in Japan because she could wear a suit and actually shoot a Godzilla film with practical effects.

It's not even a parody at this point. They are competing with Marvel and DC using the exact same style of writing and plotting. And because the super heroes in The Boys' universe are designed with cheap knockoff costumes.....it just looks like this show is nothing more than a cheap low budget ripoff of big budget super hero trash.
