It's being directed by Rob Jabbaz director of The Sadness, which is apperatetly just crossed but Chinese, and is actually being written by ennis. It looks like it's really going for it. I wonder what's more responsible for getting this green lit, The Boys or Terrifier?
The Boys. Despite that failure of a final season, it was successful for a time, and almost had a similar spot of prominence as HBO's Game of Thrones. So it makes sense for them to have Garth Ennis on for another project. I mean, GRRM is still getting deals for other media brands despite Game of Thrones going down under, so Ennis would likely get the same offers.

Game of thrones going under was mostly d&d's fault. Some blame should go to GRRM for not finishing the books but I put the majority of the blame on d&d for rushing the series to an end + their failure to write good dialogue.

I don't even think GRRM feels that way. He's made public appearances with D&D within the last year. And never says a bad thing about them. If anything he's likely eternally grateful to them for taking the hit with the fans over the real ending. ASOIAF readers blame D&D on the poor ending but deep down inside deny that GRRM was truly responsible. When they know the truth.

In the end D&D did what they promised to GRRM. Adapted the Red Wedding. Made GRRM enough gold to live like Smaug. And sold more ASOIAF books and merchandise than anyone could have dreamed. It's not their fault that GRRM never gave HBO his promised sixth and seventh books. Which is why GRRM seems to have a strong relationship with them. Yet a hostile and and antagonistic one with the HOTD production team.

Holy fucking necro. I'm on season 1 Episode 5 of this show and I don't know which character I'm beginning to hate more
I decided to rewatch the show, it was something I use to be able to stomach and quite enjoy. But now? I fell asleep during like episode four or five. I can't really remember. Seeing how things had ended really makes it a hell of a lot worse. Season 1 episode 5 however is notoriously bad and even when people use to think the show was good, they'd call the episode out.
My two least favorite characters have been the Deep, who really feels like an author's barely disguised fetish and probably written by a woman who really likes the idea of men getting fucked by marine animals, and Starlight because every time she faces injustices in her position, characters have to practically break themselves in half or the environment has to basically contrive itself into goofy unrealistic satire.
It gets worse, substantially worse.

>character named *Star*light
>draws her powers from electricity and not the Sun because ???
>fights a villain whose main gimmick is electricity
>writers decide that the best way Starlight can fight her is by punching

It would have been cool if Starlight popped Stormfront like a puffy lithium battery. It also would have been cool if this show had better writers. I never understood how Starlight was positioned as some great threat when the Batman contingency plan for her would be a pitch black room.
