I was hoping Homelander would go down with some dignity. Taunt Butcher so that he'd get enraged enough to kill him quickly as opposed to dragging it out. Kind of like this:

Instead, he goes down begging like a little bitch. But I suppose that is appropriate for a guy who's always had power. The moment he loses it, he becomes a scared little bitch.

I mean, I guess I can see what they were going for with Homelander's death. Given how he's meant to be little more than a schoolyard bully, once he loses his powers, he ends up just as a pathetic loser.

Though the fact that the audience was cheering at his death makes me wonder if that'll be the only semi good part of the finale.

They didn't even have the decency to be even a bit original...

It's over I guess. This sure was a series of all time.

Dunno what to say, wasted potential?

Not really, the original material was never that great to begin with, but this series was just not interested in the slightest in engaging in what made the comics at least compeling.

Oh well, c'est la vie

"I'LL SUCK YO DICK MANG!"

Jesus christ Kripke, would it kill you to at least be original? Why would you make the death of your main villain goofy?

It's bad enough that you wasted all that time on the V1 bullshit just for it to go nowhere and not matter 2 episodes later.

This is probably even worse than the Game of Thrones finale. The budget is minuscule. There are several plot holes. I wouldn't be surprised if a few scene or all scenes were written by some A.I. program. Homelander goes out begging for Kripke's two favorite fetishes.
