From what I can tell, Bocchi has done nothing but beat a player in pro Smash. And yet, people still go after her for no reason. And we're not just talking about irrelevant accounts here.

Even pros like Goblin are moaning about irrelevant things like her follower count.

So, what do you think of this whole affair?

And why are Nintendo fans the worst (probably because they play on a system for wee laddies, TBH)?

Fighting game community is known for being awful in general. Smash is no exception. A lot of people in the community start drama after losing/winning a competition, and shit talk each other before, after or even during the game. SonicFox, one of the more prominent figures in the community, has his own thread because he's THAT awful, although it's more or less abandoned, at least for now. Here's an obligatory watch:
GameFAQs has a thread on this as well, so you can read what they think about this if you're interested.

As a bit of an aside, Bocchi isn't really a girl, but rather a "G.I.R.L.", as can be clearly heard here:
Considering how some more mainstream gaming communities, such as speedrunners, are full of transtrenders, I have some doubt Bocchi is an actual transgender. I don't know much about Smash community, so perhaps it's best I leave it up to someone more knowledgeable to talk about it.

For God's sake can we please just take gaming back to what it was in the 80s, where everyone who liked it kept it to themselves and were relegated to playing in dingy arcades or a basement or rec room and you got the tar beaten out of you if you talked about it in public?

That is preferable in every aspect to what it's become.

And why are Nintendo fans the worst

You remember the faggots that thought they were superior to people who played Mario because they played Pong and Pacman? Well, the Nintendo fanboys are that group now. They consider themselves to be OG gamers and wear that like a badge of autistic honor.

It's laughable that anybody cares, both enough to get excited over it and enough to get angry over it. So far, the player in question has had one notable tournament result and this will most likely never change if this situation is anything to gauge by. The only thing worth looking into is the ridiculous reaction from both sides.

There's no notable transgender players in the Smash community, although about one or two pop up at lower level tournament/brackets before disappearing into the aether. Bocchi is included in this recollection, since this is the only major they've shown up in and I'm certain they'll never join another. In terms of naturally born women, predictably, there's only one female player I personally can recall who gets notable results in Smash named "Jade," a Bowser Jr. player who pops up semi-frequently in majors around her area.
Is Bocchi actually a teenager or are we dealing with another Overwatch Emily situation.
Bocchi is an actual teenager, and they've posted pictures of themselves.

There's already a thread on this scenario (starting on this page) with more comprehensive information.

I honestly thought this was about the game where you roll balls. I'm mildly disappointed that it's just dumb fighting game drama.

Yeah but Nintendo fans are objectively better than other types of gamers because they enjoy consistency, like fun, and don't accept broken products.

And it does hurt that I'll never be as cool or as OG as the Ponggers, but fuck them their game is shit. Nintendo's version was better on the CTG.

Any grown ass man bullying a kid because they lost at a videogame deserves to be shoved back into a locker like the losers they are

I found the Nintendo elitist. Put some bars of soap in socks aND LET'S GET HIM.
(Nintendo has done a lot of great shit though if you don't think too much about all the TV show games for the Wii and DS.)
