Beastcub used to be one of the most notable fursuit makers years ago. Did she just get lazy or what?
I looked through the gallery on her website and it's disappointing seeing her older suits compared to now. It's like all her suits are a complete hit or miss (mostly misses). Seeing those sugar skull heads and then then her alebrije quadsuit is jarring. I never would have guessed that holographic lion head posted a while ago was by her.
Those Alebrije heads are just tragic. I can see the sugar skull in them clearly, but the Alebrije effect was a definite miss. The multicolored fur is just lazy and tacky, without actually calling to any kind of definitive pattern that an Alebrije might have.

I decided to look at that guy's channel for some reason and one of the videos has the same fucking character as the More Fur Less suit.
Beastcub’s whole saga is pretty sad. Her suits (quadsuits at least) were very high quality and beautiful, like the boar and lion/tiger/saber looking one. The whole tragedy of her sister and sister’s boyfriend and dogs being hit by a drunk(?) driver really took its toll on her and it showed in her work. That was a huge deal and her dogs all died, I don’t remember if the boyfriend did (i think he may have?) and her sister was confined to a wheelchair for a while. After that whole thing happened her suits dropped in quality pretty bad. There’s no excuse now for her to be pushing out these horrible quality suits, but at least for that period of time you could defend her given the situation. Maybe she realized the laziness sells just fine, but who knows. Disappointing to see how horrible the quality on them is when you compare it to her older works, as others have said already.

I think I was the first in the thread to bring up the accident and hypothesize that being the cause (the boyfriend did pass away from his injuries). But it's been almost ten years now, from what I remember it happened in 2012, her sister has moved on and is engaged to someone else. But Lilah's just gotten complacent in the quality of the suits she churns out and people are picking up on this. I've been seeing less commissioned work from her and more premades that sit around for months at the dealers den and she's got the gall to sit there and scratch her head and wonder why that is.
Hey it's close to ten years. People who work on stuff as regularly as she does should be at least improving.
