A ray of good news somewhat related to my earlier post about a possible schism developing within the police departments around the country. Queensland police Commissioner Katarina Carroll is getting dragged into court over QPD's vax mandate -- seven cops so far are involved in the suit.

In the Supreme Court action filed from the seven employees, they are seeking a judicial review of the Commissioner's direction, alleging it breaches the rules of natural justice, human rights and anti-discrimination laws.
Court documents show the group also claim the direction for staff to vaccinate is an "improper exercise of power".
Their concerns include that the Commissioner's direction is an adverse action against employees that do not vaccinate because of political or religious beliefs.

Interestingly, QPD's police union claims to have no idea who is bankrolling the seven pissed off police officers, and the union VP, Sean Prior, whines and urges the uppity peasants to narc on who's involved.

“I would hate that our members are being tagged on and blindsided by political gains,” Mr Prior said.
“I won’t get into what the rumours are around who is funding what. I would just ask the members who are engaging in this challenge to publicly declare who is financially backing them so the public can have a true picture about what is really going on here.
“We have a real concern at the Union that our members would be blind sided and pulled into any political gains.”

Heaven forfend that their members should accomplish any political gains!

Looks like they're gonna push hard for vaccine passports at the international border.

Starting to lose hope of getting out of this place without being vaxxed.
I feel you fren. The powers that be really are trying to create a revolution so they can have an excuse to tyrannize the populace. Either way you're stuck in about to be stuck in real acceltationist hours.
Your leaders are in a trap.
Bad choices lead to bad outcomes. Since COVID began Australia has made nothing but bad choices.

Now you're facing one of two choices in the land down under.
Anarchy of full scale tyranny.

Now is the time to follow the way of your ancestors and learn to live off the land again.

If people escaped East Germany, the USSR, Communist China, and even North Korea, you can find a way to escape the prison island.
But that's just it. It's an island, so the natural defense that keeps out insect pests and immigrants is the water. East Germany had going under the wall to west and flying out, USSR had going to any other country like Finland or Switzerland. China has going south to Vietnam or boat to Taiwan and NK has SK or even north to China.
Realistically, Aus I see is heading north. Going east to NZ from Tasmania is too far, about 2,400km, but you'd also end up in NZ. There's New Caladonia off the QLD coast to the east, French territory and 1,500km. Going north to Papua New Guinea, Cairns to Port Morsbey is only 800km. Darwin to Bali is about 1,700km.
So these are your options. If I had to leave the country I'd get to QLD somehow, try and find a boat or local flight to Papua, bribe if I have to. Then try and get a passport or refugee papers in Papua and try and get somewhere in asia
maybe. Got a friend or two in Malaysia and I think they have decent aussie expat enclaves, so could try up there. So who knows, always good to have an exit plan incase things go bad.

Interestingly, QPD's police union claims to have no idea who is bankrolling the seven pissed off police officers, and the union VP, Sean Prior, whines and urges the uppity peasants to narc on who's involved.
It must have blindsided the union to have an outsider financing the lawsuit, goodness knows there are probably a few people with axes to grind against the commissioner.

From the perspective of Aussies, what's the government's endgame here? It's not like Aus is a major global power, and the crackdowns only weaken the nation's economy and thus position of power. I don't see what the politicians have to gain by eroding the soil they stand on.

I always liked this image from Robot Chicken and while you can use it to sum up alot of political moves, I think it's especially the case here. What happened with Aus's response to Corona is there was no plan on a national level apart from shut everything down. Once people started to come out of the first rounds of lockdown about this time last year, greater emphasis was placed on the states. The gov will supply the vaccine and propaganda effort, states need to roll it out and convince the public to take it. And that's where things start getting weird. For places like WA, Tas or QLD that have had little to no Corona cases, people go about daily lives relatively uninhibited. You're reminded that it exists, social distancing and what not but there's no overall impact to daily life. A person can go down to the super market, fake check in, stand close to someone, pay inflated price for bread and be done with it.
NSW and Vic though, is a combination of overreaction to Corona and constantly clamping down restrictions as soon as someone coughs. Because of this, Melbourne is still in lockdown, even though 700+!! NEW CASES BE SCARED AND GET VAXXED yet the 3 people that die are over 60 and you lock down a population of 5 million for those three 60 year olds.
The overall goal is either the new normal, as some health chiefs have pointed out before that you're always gonna have to live with Corona and digital passports or they're not thinking this far ahead and are just drunk with power. I do think Dan is mad with power but more stupid and realizing his stupidity, will not end the lockdowns because that would bring shame on him and he will not admit that. Gladys is doing the smart thing and already giving ground because she knows she's handled everything rather pathetically.

On a national level, Aus's image is tarnished and one twitter video does more damage than an entire foreign ad campaign. I'd expect Mr Morrison to just stick to the plan of how many percentage vaccinated and say it was worth beating those out of line, Aus just past 50% btw. I don't expect Dan to get re-elected next election, Gladys will probably step down before next state election.

TL;DR: Everyone went into lockdown because some coughed, then some came out, others stayed in, premiers went mad with supposed power and they and their parties have no hope in the future because all you need is an opposing party ensignia next to a cop beating up a protester and bam, your party is in next election cycle.

Damn, sad to hear that the crazy bitch won't have to run for office again, could've led to a very spicy campaign trail. That said, my heart goes out to you Aussies, can't imagine what it's like to watch your nation stomp faces with jackboots harder than literal dictatorships like Belarus.

They've never been pragmatic.
Option A: this is all an automatic breakdown of a system that was already authoritarian as hell but existed in a kind of schitzophrenic balance where nobody would ever admit it and the public was so compliant that you never saw these kinds of stress fractures. Covid upset the balance and all these asshole robots were suddenly able to go arms spinning into full totalitarianism without ever thinking about it like golems.
Option B: it's a deliberate experiment by outside parties to see how far people can be pushed. Even the flagrant stupidity is valuable there, because dial it back ten percent and you have a blueprint for the rest of the English-speaking world.
Option C: I'm trapped in some sort of Truman show and all the cartoonish bullshit that's supposedly happening outside is a huge joke at my expense that I would believe any of it.

I'm honestly unsure which one it is but none of these are scenarios in which the government themselves have a fucking clue let alone any endpoint in mind

Realistically there's two possible roads ahead

What's happening in NSW gives me a little hope. They've decided to go the old Soviet route, you pretend to work and we'll pretend to pay you. Obviously the mass vaccination program is a get out of jail card for them and a sop to the boomer demo. We'll make believe that the holy jab will get rid of Covid and you all can get back to working and paying taxes. The fact Gladys was forced, kicking and screaming, to extend freedom day to the unvaccinated tells me that they're way more worried about an economic depression and mass civil unrest that the airborne AIDS.

Victoria OTOH is a different beast. Dan is a hard core ideologue who sees the pandemic as a once in a century opportunity to remake society into his own image. You can tell he's furious at what's happening in Sydney. He wants state wide electronic ID's for all commerce, vaccine mandates for all work places and schools, home detention for the non vaxed and so on. As time goes on the differences between the two states will become apparent and less easy to justify. Already the Covid outbreak in Victoria is proportionately worse than NSW despite us experiencing a far harsher lockdown. The size of protests (with corresponding police brutality) and the level of violence is also on a different scale. People were shocked at what happened in Melbourne last week, cops firing rubber bullets and beating the shit out of random citizens, the entire city being shutdown for days, normies aren't used to seeing this and it for sure has had an impact on political decision making. Does anyone think that ScoMo enjoyed being grilled by foreign journalists in New York about why our country had turned into a dystopic shithole?

A couple of weeks ago I'd have said that the Victorian model was our future but things have changed. It's why I fucking hate blackpillers, nothing is set in stone.

Two things:

Earthquake, definitely more probable that it was (that better arseholes?) man made, there are a lot of thumpers around Australia, and that is the least of the types of vehicles used, that can create what happened.

Video of Scumo's UN speech on 'human rights, and how special Australia is', hope everyone has seen it. I did a search but no idea how to find it. It's a little special in a magical way, and needs to go around the world.

I desperately need sleep right now, will upload it tomorrow if it hasn't been already (only on page 26).

Oh and FUCK THE NSW SUPREME COURT, well Cavanagh in particular, it is a goddamn EXTRAORDINARY CIRCUMSTANCE, blind freddy can see that!!! Goddamn arsehole judges who have been paid off for years, lets hope things go better tomorrow!!!

https://summit.news/2021/09/28/aust...-refuses-to-enforce-vaccine-passport-mandate/

The Police Commissioner of New South Wales has refused to enforce the state’s vaccine passport mandate, revealing that officers will not be checking people’s vaccination status in restaurants, clubs or bars.

The government is preparing to pass a mandate that will ban all unvaccinated people from gaining entry to numerous venues up until at least December 1st in a repeat of the segregation scheme that has been adopted in numerous western countries.

However, after questions began to swirl about whether businesses would be forced to impose the measures on customers, NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller made it clear that his officers wouldn’t be on patrol.

“The role of police in terms of vaccine passports, we will not be walking through restaurants, cafes and pubs checking if people are double vaccinated,” he said.

“[But] we will certainly be assisting restaurant owners and shop owners if they are refusing entry to someone – we’ll certainly respond to assist those people.”

Health Minister Brad Hazzard asserted that it would be the police’s job to enforce the measures, but that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.

Unlike in some countries, businesses won’t face fines if they allow unvaccinated people to enter, rendering the whole scheme rather pointless.

As we previously highlighted, many businesses in France are not enforcing the vaccine passport mandate despite it being the law.

Melbourne has been rocked by unruly protests since the start of last week after a construction workers union demanded employees get the jab or lose their jobs.

After construction workers staged a protest outside union headquarters, the government announced it would be shutting down all work related to industry for two weeks as a punishment.

This led to further clashes between police and demonstrators, with riot cops and special units normally reserved for anti-terror operations unleashed on Aussies.

Meanwhile, New South Wales health chief Dr. Kerry Chant revealed the truth yesterday when she let slip that COVID lockdown measures will remain in place even if people take the vaccine.

Is the bad PR from them cracking down on the protests starting to catch up to them? Why the change of heart?

In Qld...The Queensland Police Commissioner's direction for all staff to be vaccinated or face suspension and possible dismissal will be tested in the Supreme Court.

Let the Revolution begin!

I don't think the judge erred. There were two questions he had to answer, a) were the circumstances extraordinary, b) would the documents released be materially pertinent in the case. It was the test in b) which failed so he didn't need to answer a). While its a loss it getting cabinet deliberations released was always going to be a very long shot.

The solicitor for g and b lawyers seems like a bit of a gronk/grifter but the barrister he got on board seems seriously impressive; PhD law qualification and he actually writes the bar exam for Victoria. So there is hope.

Hmmm don't lose hope. Hopefully someone like Dan Andrews gets his ass kicked to the curb and you get yourself a better leadership.

I guess the MSM won't film that because the revolution will not be televised.

You greasy cobbers really gotta post these "Sco-Mo" moving pictures in the thread, it feels dirty to search for them but they sound relevant.

Earthquake, definitely man made, there are a lot of thumpers around Australia, and that is the least of the types of vehicles used, that can create what happened.
I wanna say dum but why do you think so? It's likely earthquake technology exists, and the timing was kind of suspicious, but for what purpose? It was fun but everybody forgot about it immediately. I'm very conspiratorially-minded but what keeps me from believing this is the motive since it doesn't seem to have been instrumental in any way.

Also man-made quakes are one of those ideas that's in the instant loon category which get attached to genuine conspiracies to gaslight anybody talking about them, so you gotta be careful (particularly with your sources) before you believe this shit, and don't repeat it without an eloquent understanding of the subject or you'll act as an unwitting propaganda vector.
