If I was gonna do the ending, I would like have their consciousness be transferred rather than copied, and once they escape the circus, they wake up in the real world and realize only a few hours have passed in real life since the perception of time is so drastically slower in the digital world, like a salvia trip, and nothing in their lives really changed at all.

There's like over 100 different other "final episode" ideas I've seen people spitball that make more sense than what we got even for ones that utilize the "everyone is just a brain scan clone" shit without resorting to "oooo nothing matters oooo abstraction irreversable even though you can literally roll back files if they're all data ooo"

I like the anticlimactic endings that leave a ton of interpretation. If this ending were to happen, you'd wonder how'd they go about their daily lives, if they had some sort of PTSD from the circus, how they would've reflected on it, etc. Sometimes the nothingburger endings are the best ones. Except the one we got obviously.

Issue would be that CA wouldnt be abandoned that non-employees can just go in and put that headset on.

SAO did that trapped in video game thing already but without the time dilation.

Caine should've atleast keep the internet connection and have the cast put out TADC episodes. It would fulfill Zooble's wish to leave a mark in the world & Gangle's drawings are out there then.

Yeah, poor Goose. Goose, who lied to their fans throughout the show's entire run via Tumblr and Twitter posts. Goose, who kept theory-baiting people for 3 years straight just to deliver this shitty ending to the people loyal enough to stick around for the whole ride. Poor Goose probably also made a fuck ton of money from this production and the merch sales. I can't imagine how hard things must be for them right now.
 
You know them being sat down and shown their life of their "real" self outside the circus is really fucking weird and forced the more I think about it becuase of the obvious but it's not gonna stop bugging me. Like for the ones that were stuck there for years yeah finding out "you" still continued living might be interesting but the more recent people like are basically just being shown their own social media they already would have just had up to begin with and had full memory of outside their real name. like imagine ttrying tor like a few days to escape this weird digital VR game you got stuck playing and then be presented with your own social media you left on like right before you got stuck with "oh yeah actually you aren't you but an ai clone of yourself sorry! Anyways look you're living a wonderful life still!" I wouldn't have a "oooh wow so coole so wholesome!" reaction to that and I'm pretty sure that'd fuck people up.

Like for people like jax he literally deluded himself with everyone being fake to cope with being stuck there so long and watching people close to him go braindead and everyone else were stuck for years and just coped by going "yeah there's probably no way out no matter where our physical bodies ended up" but like pomni should be having a fucking meltdown.

It's such a clear last minute addition it's hilarious. Caine's entire fucking motivation is wanting to interact with humans which is why he supposedly "trapped" everyone at the start but if they're all just brain scan clones it kills his motivation and all conflict. ESPECIALLY if he has internet access.
