The problem is that glitches, body horror, and trauma are all things that can work very well in a story but lose more of their value with each use, and Glitch crams all of them into everything.

Lesser example, but I was interested in Pibby when it first revealed, at least because it was an official approach to something that was normally reserved for creepypastas. But a hundred thumbnails of Friday Night Funkin and .EXE mods later, I was completely sick of it.
 
For a show whose creator claims to be inspired by Neon Genesis Evangelion, Jax sure had an unceremonious demise.
This is nothing more than a glorified Black Mirror episode.

At least Puss In Boots earned it. He realized he was legitimately going to die after being essentially invincible for so long. Performative panic attacks have become so cheap either way.

Not just Glitch. People were talking about Steven Universe and the like, even Hazbin and Helluva have constant crying and breaking down bullshit. It's just obnoxious now. And fake. People don't act like that all the time. It's not earned. If everything's just... ~so devastating,~ ~I caaaan't,~ then nothing is.

I don't get it, if they were just computerfiles this whole time why couldn't Caine just create a bunch of inactive backups of them and store em in the void in case of abstractions?
Fuck, he could make evil duplicates of them, so what's the holdup?
Now that could've been an interesting use of the brainscan plot point, hundreds of backups taken at random intervals or something. Have it so that the circus' time actually flows at an incredibly accelerated rate and that everyone has already been abstracted multiple times and Caine just brings them back when the last person who knew them is gone. If you want existential horror, a story where the big twist is that you will never truly know peace could've been better than whatever the fuck this was.

The entire show was set to implode just out of the paranoia of having to make a second season. Like, if they can just outright access the WWW to look at their real life selves why wasn't that instead worked into being the actual point of the exit doors? They escape the dying circus through one only to wind up on the edge of a large highway that turns out to be the internet itself and now have to go hunt down the info on themselves while being followed by a Twin Peaks BOB tier corroded and fully mentally broken version of Caine now that the bubble thing isn't there to keep him on a stealth leash. See that? Few lines in a forum post and it's already more of a thought out outline than the one the finale offers while giving it another few years of dragged out episode production to keep the merch money pouring in and avoiding the disjointed "what the fuck did I just watch" experience that Murder Drones gave everyone.
 
Just a friendly reminder as per ususal (as silverfox1232 pointed out) that glitch makes its money off of only australian tax dollars via: Screen Australia, but also japanese investors and (of course) vinyl slop, plushies and t-shirts made in sweatshops

Every time i see one of these "SEEE SCRIMBLO BIMBLO HAD AN ACCURATE REPRESENTATION OF A SCHIZO MELTDOWN, AINT THIS LIKE SUPER SERIOUS ART!!?" makes me laugh because every fucking time is made with the same cadence and tact of a smiling friends bit, Zach was right that there's nothing funnier than cartoon characters in very realistic situations.
