I remember watching it and not thinking much of it. It wanted to be a Tim Burton film but beyond the flashy visuals there just wasn't much going on. It's funny because it underscores a pattern I've started noticing about this new trend of indie animations.Speaking of which, it's been a year since the Gaslight District pilot came out and I don't see many people talking about it.
Take away the gimmick of contrasting a bright, colorful children's cartoon aesthetic with a dark, edgy plot and most indie writers start running out of compelling ideas pretty quickly.
