The first time we have a flashback and proper exposition in 8 episodes, and even that felt half-baked, I am just a loss of words, we didn't even learn how Scratch abstracted, nor who Abel was and why Bubble is a piece of shit, but the plot finally moved, so congrats.

Fun episode outside of the usual therapy circle dialogue. Sad to see Caine go, he was the most interesting character out of the cast. Curious to see how they'll end up resolving everything in the finale with the climactic moment of Caine being deleted done now.

Maybe I'm missing something, but it feels like entirety of Pomni's plan to use Kinger only works because of insane plot armor? How come Caine was able to hear anyone anywhere in the circus (even in the same episode he teleports Pomni right away when she starts talking shit about him), but when they talking about distraction plan he suddenly doesnt hear it? :stress:

But when the characters were being tortured we learned about all the things that they are insecure about that we already knew! Except Pomni who just got eaten by a guy she met once that was nice to her. I guess she is 22 after all.

I think it’s pretty clear Abel was the
replacement for Caine, but Caine broke containment and absorbed the Abel AI. Scratch abstracted because Caine fucked with his mind directly, probably trying to “fix” the part of the brain the tumor wrecked. Bubble might be some lingering remnant of the Abel AI.

Definitely. My guess is
Bubble is the vestige of Abel still inside Caine, hence why Bubble's frequently an anomaly and goes against Caine's wishes. Bubble's not just a complex character AI, but a powerful AI within itself. The appearance and character's also symbolic of Bubble's greatest struggles, literally being trapped in a bubble while Caine's forced to play ringmaster. The idea that the characters' bodies are meant to be perfect reflections of their minds could very well apply to the AIs themselves.

Plus why didn't Giga Caine just grab Kinger alongside everyone else? Since Kinger was in his pillow fort (where he's always at) and Caine knew something was up

Yeah this is shaping to be Soma theory. At least I doubt they will get out.

They planted the seeds of them being able to control the digital world like Caine. And with GW saying he has the, le deep, opinion that the show’s message is that “there is meaning in a meaningless existence”, my guess is that there is no exit. Being trapped is their “meaningless existence”

But they will live happily inside the simulation, and be happy with each other. That’s what the ending is aiming to be.

I think it’s because he’s ultimately a flawed/glitched program. Kinger said he created him but was “nothing compared to Scratch”. So Kinger created an AI, but it was ultimately faulty, so they locked it up and Scratch created a “perfected” version, only for the faulty AI to break out and absorb the perfected one. It became more powerful, but still had a flaw in its base programming.

To (oddly) quote The Return of Jafar, “Semi-phenomenal, nearly-cosmic.”

Definite element of plot armour, but I think it's more that Caine underestimates Kinger, and thinks his insanity will keep him from doing anything serious. The idea of someone being creative enough to think outside the box and give Kinger a sense of sanity is something Caine very likely didn't anticipate, as that kind of adaptability is something very human- something Caine is not.

With Gangle getting inflated in the musical number we have now completed the trifecta of Goose's fetishes: feminization from Ugovaria, car tf from his superhero OC, and the islamic content from Gooseworse

Also, the “Exit Door” was literally just Pomni unconsciously conjuring what she wanted to see, but without really being able to “exit”.

And

Zooble and Gamgle showing up is what ultimately led to Ribbit’s abstraction,
at least that’s how Jax sees it.

The implication is that Caine started using his powers to block Kinger's attempt to hack into his system with all the pop ups. I'd guess the intent for him not just immediately grabbing him was moreso a heat of the moment decision out of anger to attack the rest of the cast mocking him (which is still kinda bullshit with how much power Caine is shown to possess).

Fun detail where some of the text is pretty directly speaking to Kinger.
"WHOA when did you make THAT?"
"I must hand it to you G_an_, your mind was always resourceful."

Calling it now that Kinger's actual name is Grant

Well, it's nice that something actually happened. Jax almost fucking everyone over got swept under the rug way too easily, though. I didn't want the entire episode to be all about it or anything, but it was just "Well, it won't help, so no need to discuss it further." like we still have zero idea why he wanted to stay at all. Despite being one of the main characters, supposedly, Jax is still a huge question mark and I find that annoying. Caine's meltdown was great, though, and I'm gonna miss him.

All I'm going to say is that this episode was what the last one should've been.
With Caine gone, they either need to find a way out of the simulation, or make it their own via their magic digital powers kinger says they have. I'm leaning towards a SOMA type ending, which is what I was imagining towards the beginning. Also, I'm pretty sure they leaned into the whole Bubble is the bubble boy virus theory.

what about the getting eaten fetish, or does that count as islamic.
(Also Circus_2 lost by the way. I know I was friends with her, yet I always had the feeling that she was making fun of me because I considered everything that was nas coal at the time (except ongezellig) as gemmy and by doing this, she is either unintentionally or intentionally considering me as NAS coal. He also almost got me doxxed by that fpe fan by impersonating as me but I forgive her. Hope she finds God. I am also calling her a girl becuase I heard she is a trrrransgender man.)

Without Caine to alter their memories and thoughts, will they be able to remember their names?
