Found out that Glitch store is now unironically selling "Labubu Pomni" aka randomized overpriced pendants that you can only see the design after you already paid for it.
I was never against Glitch selling merch, even if it's too much and definitely affects the writing (yea the beach outfits were just an excuse for swimsuit pomni) but making people gamble on overpriced shitty pendants (56 reais each which is ~10 dollars) is evil.
I'm gonna go on a stretch and predict this was Jax's big "unforgivable" moment or however the fuck Goose phrased it. Unless the last two episodes are longer than usual I don't see how the final twist can be anything but the characters being brain scans ala SOMA. The only way Jax can be made "unforgivable" at this point is if the characters really were in some kind of stasis, but the red button copied their brains and killed their bodies, while Caine just pretends it was all an adventure. Although being a decent episode and adding more to Jax, for how much it was hyped up and being one of the final few episodes it just feels like filler for now unless episode 8 can really expand on it and add to the over arching plot. Rate me autistic but I personally see these next two episodes being heavily convoluted to compensate for most of the series being just character drama up till now.
I've been thinking about it and if THIS is "Jax worst moment" then goose is a coward and failed too.
The guy can't just press the button to not leave, he has to have a freudian excuse (no friends to return), his third or forth "realistic panic attack", the vagueness of wether he was going to abstract if he didn't, be vindicated by it, have a breakdown crying and the implication that maybe he never had a choice.
Literally no one is blaming Jax and there is actually a new popular theory that Caine controlled Jax to press the button. This is the state of this story now, your emotional climax is easily trivialized by saying "maybe it was mind control lol".
At this point i'm wondering if we can trust Goose at all and the whole Jax thing was bullshit because he said "There is no shipping or couples" yet Gangle and zooble have been completely reduced to "those lesbians that hold hands".
If this was the finale this show would be a generational fumble on the level of game of thrones.
No, Caine already said in the pilot that he made that exit but didn't know what to put on the other end, it's one of the biggest reasons why I thought the exit tweets were bait.
But that was vague and we didn't know Caine could simply lie and he probably was. If this was the plan, Caine wanted Pomni to find the fake exit in the pilot. In fact, Caine says he was "planning an escape adventure" which is probably Goose's attempt to say it was foreshadowed since day 1 but that makes it worse.
This means Caine somehow planned this whole thing since before Pomni joined and acted like he didn't know about it, even when no players are watching, for 7 episodes. Caine made the fake exit and abstracted kaufmo and apparently others. Caine trolled pomni with a fake exit only to troll her again 6 episodes later.
This level of lying, planning and omnipotence is so extreme that makes you wonder if Caine ever meant anything he said. Was he upset by zooble not liking his adventures or was he pretending? Does he actually not understand humans or this is another act? Was he planning for them to hate him all along? D
o they even hate him or are they controlled to hate him?
