It was... interesting.
Idk what kind of standards I should have for dialogue in a zany animated show, but it all being concentrated into minute long scenes where the characters just trauma dump at each other ain't really doing it for me. The ending was well done, I thot. The disappearing guy was a nice moment of levity. The fight sequences were alright, and the dynamic with Pomni and Jax wasn't terrible. When he just starts yelling at her was kinda lame bc it was more trauma dumping, but what can you do?
The guns were kinda neat, bc it looks like they just ripped 3d models of random real guns (I liked the Chiappa Rhino and BFR. Hard to tell which exact semi pistol they used but it kinda reminds me of an M&P 5.7. Not a 9mm, I don't think).
Overall, it was alright.
 
I quite liked this one, great improvement from episode 5 in my opinion.

Dividing the characters into smaller groups and switching from one POV to another so we actually see them interact with each other is a good direction (and what they should have been doing since the beginning instead of sidelining everyone instead of Pomni and the character she has to help that episode) .

The dialogue was still a bit stillted in places, but I've come to expect that from this show. It was mostly the melodramatic Gangle and Zooble interaction though. Ragatha venting to Kinger isn't the most elegant way to communicate her feelings, but it makes sense since she has been seemingly upset since the last episode.

Pomni and Jax were actually quite fun. I think I enjoy their dynamic the most because it has slowly been building up throughout the episodes. They've been progressively interacting in a more amicable way even if they started out not getting along at all.

The little fight and Jax rant at the end was predictable and a bit cliché, but not bad per se. I think Michael Kovach did a good job (for once).

However, I'm a bit worried for what's about to come. They keep teasing bits and pieces on why Jax acts the way he does (none of them are subtle, but alas). In normal circumstances this would be completely fine, but with only 3 episodes left I don't know how they're going to wrap everything up without it seeming rushed. Maybe they'll make him abstract to avoid dealing with it, but he's Goose's favorite so I'm not sure.

I like how Caine decided to just ignore Zooble's ask about sex given a recent fan convention incident. Otherwise, same-old, same-old from the show and characters, and Jax seems to be channeling Holden Caulfield more than ever before. Episodes like these are fine, but they feel like the kind of stuff that'd be more enjoyable if there were 50 of these rather than only 8 or 9.

They are either going to step on the gas on the final episodes and badly explain everything, or just blueball everyone with a "you figure out" or "nothing really matters" approach.

Besides the random office pic from the pilot and the wooden doll door, the plot barely moved, the only other thing we got are questions like:"Is Jax or Ragatha gonna abstract next?" and "Is Kinger putting a facade or not?"

Action wise, it was better than the last episode, but I still believe the show peaked on ep 2. Pairing Zooble and Gangle again just feels like responding to feedback of how they were barely a thing on the first 3 episodes.

The target audience are the kind of people who seemingly idolize trauma, and all seek to classify their own experiences as such.

By having routine trauma dump dialogues they take a scattershot approach at giving this kind of audience member the perception of a personal connection.
 
The animation here has to be the best of the entire show so far. So many creative expressions, different kinds of shading, and a ton of attention to detail, to say nothing about the action scenes.

This was probably one of their best episodes so far. I loved the cartoony action scenes and dynamic between Jax and Pomni during those. It was very fun to watch. Having small segments focusing on each of the main characters was nice (sane Kinger was a pleasant surprise), but they were too straightforward with the morals (it's a cartoon made with kids in mind technically, but still). The conflict between Jax and Pomni in the end was weird in my opinion—it felt like they threw away all that character development for the sake of drama, and it wasn't even done in a satisfying way.

I can now also confidently confirm that the Hungarian dub is on par with the English one when it comes to quality. They didn't only translate Daisy Bell to Hungarian; the VAs did a fucking good job singing it. I was genuinely impressed. The Hungarian dub also made the creative decision to not censor Zooble saying "sex," which caught me off guard. How do they get away with stuff like this? The Hungarian dub of Murder Drones also had increased profanity. Uzi's catchphrase was localized to "Kiss my ass!" ("Nyasgem!") from "Bite me!", for example. I'm not complaining—it genuinely improves the experience, but it feels weird how easily they can get away with swearing and being rude compared to the English version.
