Actually come to think of it from what I remember the two guys in charge of Glitch seemed to be of some kind of asian descent so who fucking knows? Maybe they have family or some shit in Japan who have connections to these businesses? That's the best explanation I can think up being a retarded gaijin. I think you are definitely on to something there.

But I am a retard and racist so I might be wrong on this one. But them having some kind of connections over the pond would explain some of this.
They're Thai-Australians.

what the fuck are you talking about

I said I was racist, I don't know the difference clearly.
I can't be expected to know all of the various races of the world, alright. I only care about one and that's the white race, boy. :semperfidelis:
Jokes aside, the likely answer is probably they know a guy who knows a guy or something like that. Probably got lucky and just so happened to make connections with someone who had some kind of pull in Japan or something and that's how this is happening. Can't think of any other answer.

it's a reasonable jump, iirc Funimation was started because the guy was the cousin of John Toei

My nephew was recently talking about this show - it seems to have become popular in his school.

I watched a few episodes, and I found the animation to be surprisingly well done (especially for a free Youtube show). 10/10, although mostly because Skibbidty Toilet made the bar particularly low for Youtube cartoon shows.

Apparently the next episode is gonna be about the gang working at the office, meanwhile the B plot is gonna be Jax "hunting wabbits".

I... don't hate it? but I can't help myself and think about what @Diggus Bickus said in the GLITCH Productions thread:

I'm aware it's like two months late but I wanted to throw my hat in the ring: It really does suck that cooper is practically abandoning the idea of the horror aspect given that it's supposed to be based on I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream. The haunted house episode was cool, not that scary but to me that episode had good pacing and some good character revelations. I also enjoyed the episode where they do nothing but do minimum wage labor as the entire resolution of the episode is a character committing suicide and showing that suicide isn't as simple as just crying and roping yourself while the B story was Pomni trying to come to grips with the reality that gumigoo isn't real.

Sucks that these kind of themes will be abandoned over making the whole thing just a CGI version of The Office.

I do know the show is already character focused, and I do think they're pretty fun to watch, but it does indeed suck that the series looks like it's turning into a kid-friendly "CGI version of the Office".

But who knows, since they're in a office building, they probably gonna callback to that one moment in the pilot where Pomni managed to go through the exit and became insane inside a workplace. AND THEN, the big narrative would be on the spotlight again.

Let me :optimistic: man.

well that was a pretty fun and chaotic watch, a little bit more character development for the main three, I thought this is where shit would start starting falling apart because of what the lead up promotions would imply from this point in but I guess thats most likely for episode 6 or 7, it actually got a lot more normal towards the later half of the episode.

Jax and Pomni are actually forming a sort of friendship surprisingly, and Ragatha is the next to abstract and it is going to be utterly harrowing and glorious to witness.

also watch the fandom explode over that maid Jax thing

My main bit of criticism for this episode is that the character drama doesn't have a lot of subtlety into them and they are just sorta shown and told out of the blue with very little build up, but hey, thats a downside of doing a super duper unhinged episodic format in 25 minutes.

>Jax can have his mind tampered with
>Zooble teases him with woman's clothes
>Caine flat-out calls them NPCs at one point

I'm calling it. Jax is an NPC copy of either a woman or a tranny who wanted to be a woman, and Caine deleted the wrong one after an adventure.

This was a weird episode. I didn't enjoy it as much as the earlier ones. The jokes were hit or miss (the Bill Clinton joke was great). There was also too much lore dump, especially in the bar section in my opinion. What I enjoyed the most was the tension between the characters, especially between Jax and Ragatha.

I watched this episode in its official Hungarian dub (Glitch was mad enough to get every episode of their shows translated and voice-acted in Hungarian) and it did not disappoint. They did a good job localizing it. Somehow it's also consistently more profane than the English version and I love it.

Episode 5 is... off. I do undestand the "lighting round" premise, but it kinda feels that the writers saw how Ep1-Ep4 were taking too long and were like "Oh right, we're reaching the climax. Hop hop, we need all the character development here."

Not to say it's bad, if anything, I appreciate its pacing over whatever Murder Drones did (I can't let it go, I know). Some of the jokes made me laugh, the drama was engaging, I love the backstory segment, the character development is good... it's good, but none of it is presented in a smooth way, and I don't mean the scene-to-scene transition, ya feel me?

I would say it's the weakest of the 5, but still a banger, just executed poorly.

(Also Evil Ragatha's overacting gives me life. If you want an easy laugh out of me, just quote Dracula from SoTN: "I was called by, huuuumans. Who wish to pay meee, tribute.")

I didn't like this episode as much, it felt rushed and slow at the same time. I agree with sparky that some lines feel like they exist solely for theory lore bait and too much is self indulgent (haha maid jax meme).

I hate how this show has great animation yet the only way characters can convey information is by verbally explaining their backstory and thoughts out loud or having awkward silent sad reaction shots. Ragatha might as well look at camera and say her mother was abusive and shes toxic positive to cope. Everyone is a depressed loser coping now.

I'm not a fan of how hard they're pushing Jax to be likable either. Maybe he was a bit overhated but gooseworx insists he is the worst and "deserves to be there". Yet going 3 episodes in a row with him being punished, making him a sad boy with dead friend who has to explain he only hates ragatha cause she sounds fake and is annoying to cope except when he's not "annoying" but actually super funny and befriends pomni at light speed? The circlejerk switched too hard and now i'm seeing people say Jax was never a jerk, he was just being tsundere and no one gave him a chance until pomni.

Pomni is also bland as hell here man, almost a vanilla self insert in a love triangle fanfic. I guess ya can't be paranoid clown forever but now she only says "whaaaat", gives generic emotional support or points the obvious ("is that a baby head lamp?").

The evil squad and maid jax feel like shitty attempts to force more merch because ya know they're all becoming toys. Maid jax is already an official plushie.

I liked the suicide bomb gangle joke and the anthem joke in portuguese cause it's not the anthem at all. In portuguese Cain says the npc will sing the "unofficial brazilian anthem" and the NPC sings half a line from Evidências, an old super iconic and memetic brazilian country song and it made me laugh out loud.

It's not my favorite episode (Episode 3 is still my favorite), but I still enjoyed this one and had a good time with it. The jokes were really what carried the episode for me but the nice bits of character building were nice.

Really the only part I didn't like is the bar scene only because it just feels really cliche for characters to have a heart to heart in a bar, it feels like such an overdone trope
