You know what? I'm satisfied. The overwhelming majority of people despise this dogshit ending. Good. We can make our own now. Imagine Cooper trying to take down fan projects for making money just because they tell the story better than his tranny ass.
It took me about 24 hours to get through ep 9 and I might be retarded but when did it say that the rabbit nigga was a tranny and the doll lady was hit by a truck?
I wonder what level of crashout Cooper will have once the episode is out and his contract is finally up. I cannot imagine anything but the finest milk.
Why should I put the effort in for your whiny ass when I already engaged enough to read them previously? Use the search bar for yourself, it's only on every page.
I also mentioned more specific changes I thought would have been better, multiple times. Just because you didn't read any of those posts just means you were the uninformed one who didn't bother to catch up before spergging out in a thread.
With this question alone you've created a better premise for a story. A reverse IHNMBIMS where an AI has to try, over and over and over, to keep his subjects sane. Probably working towards a proper goal. Always hoping that this will be 'the one'.
Maybe the AI didn't delete all the traces properly? Maybe he's misjudged what's actually corrupting them? What if they can uncorrupt naturally?
All of those above questions have a better foundation for a story than who Zooble will get to poz their tranny neg hole.
Another twist is that like so many "AIs gain a soul" stories, this AI did gain true consciousness and it, in fact, isn't evil like AM in IHNMBIMS. No, it's genuinely, unironically, no-frills purehearted.... and failing those humans time and time again, despite its utterly best efforts, is breaking its heart and soul.
That's a bleakness we don't usually see often, for good reason, in a story. Which would make it all the more powerful in this case.
I can only speak for myself , but all my criticism aside, the premise really is gold for a horror show.
Being trapped in a sacarine childlike digital world in a body that isn't yours with missed memories, in a toy-like body ,and risking becoming a monster if you break is a good horror premise. If you have time to spare I recommend watching the fan made Kauffmo short to see what it could had been.
Eventually you slowly realize that you were rugpulled and the horror aspects was just an afterthought, and you are watching a kid's show with cursing and references to sex now and then. It's entertaining in a family cartoon sort of way. The people that didn't mind the real direction kept being invested.
It really does seem to be a common trend with these people. How many shows have started with a really interesting premise, only for that premise to be cast aside or ignored for Therapy Hour? It feels like way too many.
Can any kiwis who were invested in the show prior to the leak clue me on the attraction here? I don’t understand how any one of good sense would watch the pilot and become invested unless they wanted to attach themselves to an internet culture moment. The awful voice acting, tastelessly hypersaturated backgrounds, miserable dialogue, weird fetish undertones, the showrunner being a porn addicted transsexual, the endless cliches and internet media conventions, the pitiful attempt at subversive humor, the fact that nobody involved in this has anything important or profound to say…what keeps you engaged? I’m curious.
I was autistic enough to like Murder Drones, despite its horrendous writing (there is no better explanation for liking MD; you're either autistic and it clicks or not), so I gave Glitch's other cartoon a try. I mean, it's a free cartoon on the internet, and I can spare 20-30 minutes every few months, so why wouldn't I?
At the beginning I was following it out of curiosity, but it slowly devolved into catastrophe tourism/keeping up with its lolcow fandom. In the end, watching this house of cards collapse in such a spectacular way was more entertaining than the show itself. I think we should definitely move this thread to the Community Watch subforum, since basically everyone that was following this show before in this thread now has its eyes on the fandom, including myself.

I already came up with a much more entertaining ending.
It starts with changing how episode 7 ends. Instead of two buttons, there's only one, and when they press it, Caine appears to congratulate them. Why does he do that? Because he reveals The Amazing Digital Circus and all of its wacky adventures were a part of a training program, and this adventure was the final test. Why were they training in the first place? To defeat the Lawnmower Man, a mentally ill gardener who became a fully digitalized godlike entity that has been terrorizing the cyberspace for decades now. Caine also tells them that they will only be allowed to leave the simulation if they defeat the Lawnmower Man. Episodes 8 and 9 are a two-part finale where they fight the Lawnmover Man (Caine also joins the fight). And of course, the Lawnmower Man will say his iconic catchphrase:
I AM GOD HERE!
Just ignore the existence of Lawnmover Man 2; this modified version of TADC should have been the sequel to the first movie.
With the narrative of the spoilers being the same in the same magnitude as "Snape kills Dumbledore". Is it really a huge spoiler if you can see Jax abstracting coming from a mile away? After seeing how he almost abstracted by episode 7, it was obvious something related to it was going to play a role in the last episode.
Hell, the poster was a dead giveaway on what the episode was about.
Makes you realize there was a good reason most cultures tried to steer boys away from the effeminate.
I've noticed this going on for quite some time, and it predates gen z. All the boy band types from the millenial days were also very effeminate, and it's only gotten worse with the recent obsession with 'twinks'.
Dont forget the hordes of crying children and aghast parents
Also if they wanted to keep the plot somewhat consistent they couldve just done this
Because then at least episodes 7 & 8 wouldve built up to something that makes at least a little sense, and they still couldve had their power of friendship bs
Sexual frustration is difficult to write convincingly because not only it is complex but you need to be careful it doesnt fall into the physical aspect strictly when the true source is the social aspect.
Which is interesting to consider that sexuality is a part of the horror of IHNMAIMS as we only have one female and basically she has sex with all of the males as a coping mechanism for all of them. While in here, it is part of the tragedy that they cant any sort of relief over their situation. Coupled that with the fact Jax and Ribbit are no doubt mentally very young, sexuality would be more significant in their minds and Jax would no doubt feel lesser as a man for being unable to please a woman, the problem being is that he is mostly focusing on himself and not how Ribbit is in the same boat and no doubt feels similarly awful she cant share that experience with him, feeling lesser as a woman.
Now, again, a good writer would have sort of a small character arc in there to show that their relationship could still survive the lack of sex and that, really, they dont need it because the connection they have is far stronger than any needs of the flesh and stronger than the despair of their situation, that altho their bodies arent human, their minds and feelings very much still are.
Its actually impressive how they were able to sell these two being a thing and being this close to something meaningful and completely fumbling the bag by just going with trans allegories and just saying that Jax is afraid of personal info being used against him.
Funny thing is, most of JJ mystery box mysteries end with one of the obvious answer to the mystery being used, bonus if its the one that the creators/writers said isnt it (openly fucking lying that the fans didnt guess).
They often underestimate a fandom and its power of autism, eventually someone somewhere is gonna get it right, even if by sheer chance.
Exploring the ruins and avoiding the abstracted, kinger finds a terminal
Finds that there is a release mechanism that can merge the non abstracted
Through internet he contacts himself and convinces him to "pull the plug"
He arrives at the office and tries to properly end the program but it's locked from the inside
The cast have to do dangerous adventure/action shit to disable some security
Jax maybe tries to fuck everything but fails
They have to get their real selfs to put on the headset before the pc explodes
Jax doesn't abstract but wants to get left there to die
maybe pomni gets his real self shows up and forcefully pulls him out
or he just dies kwab
Holy shit, I hate that your napkin pitch is infinitely better. They even had the perfect scenario for a IHNMAIMS type of journey as now the circus is a "god-less" chaotic land and shit is bound to look apocalyptic.
Just imagine the dirty tone of the Point and Click but with the TADC characters.
And having them "fuse" with their human selves would be an unique way of solving the "they arent real" issue. In the end, their memories are one with their human bodies again, remembering both lives they lived.
Imagine seeing digital Jax and human Jax talking to each other, the former seeing how the latter was able to grow and improve as a person, proving he isnt too far gone.
In fact, the police not looking for Jax could indicate that nobody found her body for a while and it was decided a slip and fall while she was alone, after all we never get a follow up on her, who knows but the police and their activity doesn’t mean much of anything.
The police would be looking for Jax one way or the other. At best they would find and inform him his mother is ok (and Jax would be considered a missing person too). At worst, its for his mother's possible murder. Hell, even if she was just injured but not fatally, they'd still have some questions for him.

I think "Jax abstracts off screen and becomes a braindead, docile dog forever" is a better spoiler. I wasn't a big fan of Jax, but he was still an interesting character. His end was such a shitty, lazy, half-assed ending based on the character progression and foreshadowing of previous episodes.
They could have at least given us a satisfying, interesting, or even fun abstraction scene. Like he jumps into the abstraction pit shouting "Leeeeeroy Jenkins!" (hinting he knew his name was Leroy, giving it a hint of more mystery) while all the abstractions rush toward him and devour him right as he becomes one of them. Then all the characters being annoyed at him as they watch his abstracted form stumble around confused would at least be funny. He always did want to be the funny one.

It feels very "I'm a 35 year old man who parasocially can't stay off twitter and you were mean to me, Jax abstracts off screen fuck you" rather than giving him a satisfying monologue. But it's a pathetic end for a pathetic character.
They only like using Jax a lot because of people on Tumblr flicking their bean of art of him in that fucking maid outfit. Never underestimate how your numbers soar if you add in a Tumblr Sexy Man to your show.
So, did they ever end up leaking the English version? The guys who leaked the Brazilian version were saying on the 19th that they had it, and would deal it out in two days.
