Jax wondered if he killed his mom but wasn't sure if she was dead because he didn't bother to check, and ran to hide in abandoned buildings (so the cops couldn't find him?), thus becoming homeless. Ribbit tried to console Jax by telling him, "Well, the cops never caught you, so she must be still alive?" Sure, Ribbit. Is Jax the enbodiment of trans fantasies about murdering anyone, even family members, who won't slobber on the dick of gender validation? Jax's mom telling him he's not manly enough is like literally genocide and violent PTSD-inducing bigotry, so it makes sense the trans coded Jax would lash out and murder his mom over her critiquing him about his level of manliness, right?
So, it's also a worst told version of that Omori game? I've never actually played but what it seems to be about is the main character coming to reality about killing his sister by pushing her down the stairs during an argument and having like, virtual copies of his friends either excuse or ignore what happened until his fantasy breaks down and he has to come to terms with it.

Jax just turns into a dog, because dogs don't need to unpack difficult issues and his mom could have just been unconscious-- she probably was I guess if RL Jax just went on to work for the post office, or you think the background check would have brought up the warrant for murder.

I still think it's weird if Jax was meant to be MtF, even if showing a few moments of enjoying the bow (or just enjoying the connection to Ribbit). All we ever get is how much he hates femineity, how he wants to be masculine and punishes those who don't view him as such. His name is two boy names in one and sounds completely unbelievable like he renamed himself compared to how standard the other characters' names are. He goes to Queer Club for Queer friends but isn't transitioning. I think he kind of looks like a pooner in his RL shots. That would at least support what you think would be GW point that transing was good, and Jax just needed to accept himself as close enough to get over the bodies he left in his wake as opposed to Rabbit Jax showing the real answer is suicide.

Of course, it was never addressed, so Jax seems to just be a twink who realized he was fine in that role and should just accept himself without changing his body despite his Mom saying be more masculine and friends saying trans yourself?

Before the exit door became theory-bait, I always thought Kinger had really dark implications. I assumed he’d been there so long that he had literally run out of memory in a technical sense, causing his dementia. I expected the others to eventually acknowledge Kinger’s mental state and be terrified by it, because it implied that if they never escaped, they’d either lose their minds and abstract like everyone else, or somehow resist long enough to become lobotomized husks like him. Either outcome is horrifying, and it would’ve given Pomni even more reason to pine for an exit.

When Scratch was introduced I believed we were going to get an actual explanation for everything. Maybe Caine had tried altering the earlier humans’ mind files to make them happier in the circus, but pushed too far and accidentally caused their abstractions. By then, Kinger would have already been modified. Caine was too afraid to tamper with his mind file again to reverse it, but kept Kinger as-is because he was still functional. Kinger becoming lucid in the dark felt like an intentional parallel to abstractions only being comfortable in darkness so I thought we would go somewhere neat with that.

Then the reveal about conjuring made me still think Caine had modified Scratch, either to keep him happy, or to prevent everyone's escape. Then the character twist would be that Kinger had also been modified, except he’d unknowingly conjured his own mental modifier on himself out of grief.

I don't remember if we got an explanation for Kinger suddenly becoming more retarded in Episode 7.

One theory that explains things: the company that made the computer the Circus is in is still around and is a massive corporation that can afford to "lose" a department. Officially it's shut down but the company still owns the building and pays the utilities but otherwise has forgotten about it. They tried to sell the building which is when Ragitha got scanned but gave up and largely abandoned it, still paying utilities but not having employees working there so kids that explore abandoned buildings sometimes break in and play with the scanning hardware.

I can see this, yeah. I mean, they DUD make brain scan tech and an ai, and the neural scans said obsolete, so that implies they perfected it.

Or abandoned the idea, but that seems less plausible because they would be likely to reuse some of the hardware. Unless the new method is incompatible with the old setup and they needed to start from scratch

It's insane how barely anything was answered or resolved outside of the bare minimum in the last episode.

Also the scene between Jax and Ribbit in her room really felt like it was designed to end with them making out*, which they wouldnt be able to do anything beyond just kissing and cuddling because they dont have sexual features anymore, which should add to the horror of staying at the circus because you are denied something so natural but essential for pairbonding. Jax would grow frustrated at this and storm out, or they know they'll need to hide this and, naturally, its frustrating for someone like Jax. The scene afterwards where Ribbit tries to apologize really also invokes the feeling of an attempt at sexuality that went wrong and Jax acts like nothing happened. And he keeps avoiding her because their "love" only reminds them of their current situation and make it all hurt more, not noticing/caring that this distance is hurting Ribbit even more. And Jax's character flaws and immaturity really begin bubbling hard to the surface when she tries to force a conversation because he knows that this will lead to the frustration that they cant go beyond friendship, they can never have a marriage, some white picket fence and then a kid, they will NEVER have that so why bother? His sheer nihilism laid bare.

And it dawns on him far too late that he hurt her so badly that she abstracted. If he just accepted what they had despite the risks and limitations or had just been more mature in rejecting it, she would have been saved. He choose his own nihilistic comfort zone over her and that guilt haunts him intensely ever since.

Also it really felt that, at least in some version of the story, they would have been able to reverse the abstraction process like it seemed like Pomni would be able to do with Jax when going through his mind. Either that or the pillow fortress whatever would have possibly been it to show the healing process is a conjuctive effort? Really feels like if they wanted to have the drama/therapy angle, setting the focus of the plot in the abstraction of Jax and others being reversed would have been a good way to give it a meaningful visual effect on the world.

Also also not have chad gummy-gator appear and help out was a mistake a reminder this shit is garbage.

*The way Ribbit removes her ribbon almost seems like the closest thing she can do to "undress" and giving "concent" to it
This is definitely something that bothers me too. Instead of trying to better their situation IN the simulation, they don't even try. They don't even talk to each other, considering Ragatha knew Kinger for years and yet didn't know about his darkness shit.

A clever writer would make that a plot point, where they are so concerned with escaping and/or their own personal baggage they dont even take the time of day with getting to know each other beyond just the basics.

Of course, clever writing is not to be found here, or else it would possibly make these characters more flawed and fittingly more human.

It really does make sense. Maybe the real reason scratch abstracted was the tumor damaging his Neural scan. That would actually be interesting with it's implications, so ofc Nooseworx didn't fucking use it.

All of this is amazing counterpoints. It's astounding how this eunucuck whose JOB is to be creative is less creative than just a couple of chuds online. It's mind boggling

On another note, it’s kind of ironic that GW wrote Gangle — a character who never managed to make peace with failing as an artist and always wondering "what if" — while simultaneously crashing out on Xitter because TADC became really successful for views to the point that they couldn't handle it anymore.

Though a small but still noticeable amount of bronies are into irl bestiality
Bronies jerk off to ponies. Ponies are animals. Ipso facto 100% of retards jerking off to ponies are jerking off to animals. There's no cope out of it.
Also the blue AI being LE EEEEBIL one doesn't even make fucking sense, in the flashback we see that the red one (caine) was unstable and had to be locked away so the blue one could do it's thing, before then breaking out and consuming the blue one.

How can Caine just... pull out what basically amounts to half his existence? That's like a sentient cake pulling the eggs out of itself after it's already baked.
Because "look how poignant and feelsgood this is guys doesn't this feel good hey don't you love redemption and everybody gets along".

I'm not over Kinger being:
  1. An original dev creator of the world they live in
  2. Has shown even in earlier episodes to have creative mode on, even being able to modify Ragatha's code
  3. Has access to original copies of abstracted humans as reference code if he asks Caine for them
  4. Has so much knowledge, access, and power over the system that he deleted Caine from of an accidental button push
  5. Says he knows exactly where their mind files are and even knows details about them down to their filesizes
But he can't be assed to open a hex editor to fix his loving abstracted wife. He doesn't even try. Instead, he sticks her in a fish tank to casually watch her mindless zombie corpse float around. And the writers portrayed that as bittersweet instead of psychotic behavior.
This is yet another thing they just completely ignored and left hanging to waste an hour on very little hapening that could have easily been condensed into less than half. I already ranted about how they completely abandoned the hint towards Caine causing abstraction, but there is literally no reason why they couldn't bring back the abstracted characters. If Caine could be wiped and come back, and they are all brain scans, there must be a backup of their corrupted files or a way to reset them. Nick Robinson went into more effort to uncorrupt some guys childhood pokemon than Kinger did to bring back his wife that he has been shown to grieve constantly, as well as Ribbit, Kaufmo and all the others.

If it was me I'd have the other abstractions be released by Caine not being there to keep them in the cellar anymore, they freak out trying to do something, Kinger and Pomni together with the help of the others go on a quest to bring them back and ultimately leave. Maybe Jax is a foil to this and tries to stop it from happening because he doesn't want to leave. The revived Scratch and the others end up helping them discover the unresolved secrets of the circus and its history as they try to defeat Jax who has took it upon himself to become the new Caine. Kinger and Queenie get an emotional reunion scene. They try to find a way to bring Caine back. Then they dig too far and realize SOMA is real, oh shit. As they come to terms with that Jax finally sees Ribbit and gets his angsty redemption session. Just as he stops fucking with everyone Caine comes back but with all his memories gone, gets redeemed and shows them their real identities after realizing how much he hurt them in the past. If Goose really wants Jax to abstract he can do it at the end as a sort of suicide and ask to not be revived, then they can keep him as a dog and such like they did. Maybe have the ribbit flashback the same way they did in the movie, actually, since I don't think Jax would actually be open about it even with Ribbit back. (I actually did expect Caine to come back but with a wiped memory because I figured that Gummigoo was supposed to be foreshadowing.) Then all of them can have their nothing matters ending together in the circus, at least until the government finds out about the abandoned building that's been costing them so much in electricity and pull the plug.

I literally came up with that in 3 minutes and I've seen much more interesting ending concepts in this thread from other people, but it still feels more fleshed out than what we got. It's a little cliche and predictable too but I tried to stay as close to canon as possible, just tried to make it more interesting. But thats not saying much cause I'm sure even AI could come up with a better ending than Troonworx.

I don't care that the ending sucks, I'm just glad that this horrible nigger show is finally over!

Notions like this just make the reality of Noosedrillobotomyworx failure that much more palpable. Just from the concept alone there are so many cooler roads he could have gone down than bargain bin SOMA, and even with that being the plot, he could have made it 100x more interesting just with these little tidbits of spice, but no, it had to be linear and trash. Maybe the real Digital Circus was the brain drilled trannies we met along the way.
