The Jax abstraction thing confused me for a second because I thought it was like "the cellar is open and all the abstractions are escaping".

But no, Jax abstracted off-screen and just looks exactly like Kaufmo. Lame.

I'd like to think that Caine leaked the finale because the Internet made him incredibly transphobic
TRANNIES

I fucking knew it was just soma, of course it was just a scan of the person. There was never a “get out” going to happen.

This phenomenon is what I’m coining as “troon brain” any tranny in charge of a huge project will always take the easier and most predictable path.

They will never deviate to anything unexpected, their brain matter simply cannot create original concepts. All trannys will ever be able to produce is a reflection of their stunted mental states.

Nothing clever, out of the box, or generally interesting. Just a copy paste of themes that others have already done better two decades ago.

no he properly did, he got into a murderous rage like 7 minutes in and had to shut the first episode off to take a breath. by the end of it he was saying stuff I offered sincerely to edit out because he was so mad I was pretty sure he might regret some statements. we watched 3 episodes in the sitting.
Bro, I watched the show it’s not that bad wtf made him lose his shit like that?

For the love of god, post the KINO in full length

THAT IS HIM.

2 more minutes just got leaked
this is so bad i genuinely said out loud "there's no way this is the fucking ending"
oh my god this is SO BAD WHY ARE WE DOOMSCROLLING FOR EXPOSITION LMAO

why IS caine connected to the internet btw? where did they get the house footage of jax delivering fedex? is he just in every computer? then why does caine not know a lot about the human world he keeps pining the characters about?

would he modernize the circus instead of staying wacky retro 90s if connected to modern day internet? holy shit im losing my mind

- Chuds hate it because it's a "clever subversion of expectations"
- Trannies hate it because it deconfirms the "trans Jax" theory
- Jax x Pomni shippers hate it because Jax dies like a bitch
- Zooble/Kinger/Ragatha/Gangle fans hate it because it's yet another episode of Jax being the main character

it's funny how it feels deliberately engineered to make every single group dislike it.
not an inherently terrible ending, though. it's tragic and a bit cynic, but also fits jax's arc and how it contrasts with pomni (saved herself with the power of friendship) and caine (saved himself through sheer power of will). it's a type of personal responsibility message you almost never see in fiction these days, especially not in indie web series - the gameoverse pilot contains the line "nothing your ever did was your own fault" verbatim.

c+, i will henceforth use "them" to refer to gooseworx. i'll be waiting for their next series.

I vaguely remembered writing something about the first episode of this show years ago.

Watched the digital circus because the jester girl is all over the internet and had nothing better to do.

- Premise is fine. In spite of being zoomer slop I'd like to know what happens. Not that hopeful they will stick the landing.

- Not being political or pozzed is why it's been so successful, everyone wants shit they can just enjoy without being reminded of current year.

- All attempts at humor not funny, but not offensively bad attempts. I somewhat forgive this because it wasn't made for me, it was made for tweens who are hearing these kind of jokes for the first time and will find it funny. Yes they deserve better media, "it's for kids" isn't really a good excuse, but setting that aside I'm not gonna get mad at lame jokes.

- Going along with the above, it's over-written. Someone mentioned earlier that Don't Hug Me I'm Scared did the same vibe better, and I agree, too much exposition tells me you don't trust the viewer to figure it out.

This seems to have been mostly how things worked out:

- Caine is going to be played up as the slightly sinister all-powerful guy keeping them all stuck, but the twist will be that he's just as trapped, or making the best of a bad situation.

- Jax is trope of the sarcastic jerk who deep down has a heart of gold, but the twist will be that he's actually an irredeemable asshole who will betray everyone for a chance to escape (probably with immediate karmic consequences).

- If C&A actually means Cain and Abel like most of the internet theorizes then that's retardedly hamfisted and the show is doomed.

- The fanbase seems utterly insufferable, as expected.

Info for the thread that I hadn't seen mentioned earlier: the creator has said the plan for the show is one season, 8 episodes, which is wise. Means they can go bigger with character reveals and/or killing people off, rather than needing to maintain a status quo for filler.

I didn't watch any of the rest of the show, apparently despite only having 8 episodes they actually did run a ton of pointless filler? :story:

The whole thing is an obvious metaphor for the zoomer mindset: being born into a world offering fun and endless adventure, but feeling a strange desperation that you should be more free than you are. Giving up and embracing the fun that's spoon-fed to you is the only thing that keeps you from going insane. Looking up beyond your entertainment, you won't find anything but endless drudgery, cubicles, and death. The promise of entertainment (and the dull hope of further attempts at finding meaning) is the only thing that drags you back from the void.

What's funny is it's also a metaphor for the internet and living under the megacorp media regime. No Pomni, you're not allowed to say nigger. The show is an acknowledgement of the lame gilded cages and walled gardens everyone is stuck in, but since it's made by a troon it's not going to be smart enough to offer a real solution.

Not pretending that I predicted anything, obviously I didn't call the "they're all brain scans" thing. But I think the last line there is pretty on the nose.

all the spoilers did is reveal the ending is going to be just underwhelming, and a lot of people had already paid for their tickets were left disappointed that this was all they were hyping themselves up for.
