I considered collecting all the mecha of Shinkenger in the past but Bandai ditching the folding gimmick after Shinken-Oh killed my interest.

I think the toys after Boukenger suffered design-wise and looked uninspiring. The worst ultimate combination for a toy that I've seen after that were ToQ Rainbow and Good Kuru Kaiser VSX.

Lu-Pat tried to change the series' dynamic and had an interesting concept but ended up just favoring the thieves instead. Part of me wishes that King-Ohger should have been the final series instead.
ToQGer has some really amazing monster designs and they're otherwise wasted on that show.

I do not keep up with rumors. I just saw them on my feed.

I mean, you can look at Namco Bandai's quartlerly earnings and just get your info from there, LINE and 2chan like the rest of us. Probably the only person with anything close to insider info out there is a leaker named "Color" who always seems to have all the good tokusatsu info weeks well in advance.

I do not go around looking for leaks. What I wanted was someone going over comprehensibly over what rumors I already heard about. I do not take everything at face value though. That is why I asked about the accuracy of the video.

The moulds changed in Operation Overdrive. That's when Disney tried to maximize profits by remaking the toys to reduce part counts and function. The mecha especially suffered. The Overdrive mecha couldn't even combine like they did in the show because they were so neutered. Saban continued the trend as well. The Samurai Megazord was smaller and has reduced parts to the point that the individual zords has no origami mode like the original, and the "Samurai Ultrazord" didn't actually have a toy version as I recall. Basically just completely different toys since Overdrive, which meant collectors had to start importing sentai mecha for the full experience.
The ultrazord did come to the states but it was undersized and ape folding zord (saru origami) couldn't go into its origami mode. I think with operation Overdrive the submarine was oversized so certain forms like the trailer & ultrazord formations.

Personally, I would like a source that broke down how much of the profits each season made. You know, for example, how much of the money that Time Force made helped Timeranger. Did the PR seasons that are beloved help the Sentai? I have heard that Ginkaman and Timeranger had a worse reception than Lost Galaxy and Time Force but little in the way of proof. No video or article I have found talks about how much each PR season helped its SS counterpart. Just stating that PR was SS's "safety net".

I don't know how true it is, but I've heard that there's drama regarding the main actress in the Garo live action that got knocked up by the guy that played the main character, and he never acknowledged the child until he was threatened to have a court mandated DNA test.

Trying to think what mech combination I liked in a good while and only come up with Kingohger.

Sadly since they refused to have Noel (or even Goody) act as the intermediary to say "If you blow up the monster before the treasure is secured, the world is kinda fucked" and make it so the Patranger could gain treasures that would actually put them as a threat to the Lupinrangers, it HAD to be Lupin-sided.

Kingohger was the last one for sure. Boonboomger showed promise when they introduced the fire truck lion that became some pretty neat armor, and then almost immediately shit the bed with the Champion Carrier. Deeply regretted those purchases.

I love how Sumino went from a high class detective to a total clown dressed as a giant tampon.

I saw all the Japanese people I follow on twitter talking about the article, but I didn't read it. People forget Sonny Chiba's kid (Zoro in the Netflix One Piece) is also a deadbeat dad. But, hey. At least Garo didn't make her kill her kid like Toru Furuya lol.
I just finished Kamen Rider Faiz. It is a great show and my new 2nd favorite completed series.
555 is such a good show. I'm glad you liked it. Really does a good job at selling how blurry and messy the lines between ally and enemy are sometimes. I think the Orphenoch are all really strong designs too. Make sure you watch the 20th anniversary movie too.

I liked King-Ohger and its upgrades. Next I can think of is Shinkenger which, if you can tolerate the lack of folding gimmick after Shinken-Oh, had some good toys.
Shinkenger was great. I think the last true great traditional mech line for me was Kyurenoh & Kishiryuoh. Those were pretty awesome how to do the traditional 5 piece & and the Red gets attachments.

Apparently, Atsuko Kurusu/Pink Racer is on YouTube as a kpop Stan/Travel Vlogger. She doesn't post anything about Sentai but she found a pretty cool niche.

I REALLY hope the series doesn't immediately go full retard and become silly slop like most Sentai shows as of late. The tired "Oh no a body swap" trope is so fucking dead its not even funny. Even the best series in recent history, King Ohger suffered from this.
And no I don't want the show to be like Garo. I want it to be like Rider where the humor/goofy shit is counterbalanced by serious/dark material.
