This is complete bullshit. Very few Japanese fans even knew she was mixed race. Even the SEAniggers on Twitter had to admit to that.

This also ignores the fact that Sentai (and Rider for that matter) have had mixed race actresses with no scandals to speak of. The only people repeating this shit is English speakers, arguably the least informed group talking about this.

She got put to pasture cause she got in an affair with a married man, not racism. If the underage drinking seems likes a ridiculous reason to sack her, that's cause it is. Otherwise, the headlines would be, "lead actress in kids' show fired for sleeping with married man who played the main hero."

The moms could easily cause a stink. The particular risk is with the sponsors. Even if Sentai is actually killed (doubtful, likely a big rebrand), they still need sponsors and if Toei did something to piss off the moms (ie the main source of income buying the toys for kids) then they're dead in the water. Remember Abarekiller? He was originally going to be a villain throughout the entire series without a redemption and temporary membership of the team. Why didn't they do that? Cause moms were complaining to TV Asahi AKA the network Sentai airs on.
Calling this slutshaming is next level retarded. For one, the concept itself is some insane faggotry. She is an actress in a children's television show. If you can't not fuck a married man, you deserve to be fired for potentially exposing children to your bullshit.

I think it is worth pointing out that an actress willing to risk destroying marriages is just bad to have around. "What?! You are filming with that slut?! Are you going to cheat on me? Fire her or we are DONE!" Married entertainers are going to have a lot to answer when they get home. Sleeping with someone like that can make one work poison. She has a reputation as a marriage killer now. I do not know if she is guilty or innocent (it might be the opposite and she was fired for REFUSING to sleep with someone) but both underage drinking and sleeping around at work are frowned upon in both the East and the West.

You don't understand. She's a heckin' innocent half-flip woman. It's not her fault she fucked an older man and tore his marriage apart. The stress of doing that is what drove her to drink. Show some sympathy for the poor thing.

The idea that it's somehow some sexism slant is retarded.

Takahiro Sakurai got caught in a 10 year long affair with the writer for his radio which had been running for 9 years. Afterwards, the radio show got cancelled, lost tons of roles (particular one where he originated the role and wouldn't be in the remake) and "left" his talent agency. What's happening to her isn't anything unique to Japan's entertainment industry.

Look, I get the joke but, in the end, we do not know. We only get the official reason. We can speculate but that's it. She might have been framed and she might have screwed up. If she is framed, then I hope she finds justice. If she did do it, then it sucks to suck. Either way, we can only guess.

In lighter news, this past weekend there were two meet and greets to celebrate the upcoming blu-ray release and 30th anniversary of Changerion.

They also recreated the commercial they had done which aired during Ryuki's airing likely confusing many children as to why Kamen Rider Ouja was suddenly this happy go lucky guy.

I hope they eventually release this series in English officially. Despite how arguably important it is to modern toku (Heisei Kamen Rider in particular), it's pretty niche and shouldn't be that expensive to license. I know some were hoping Media Blasters might go for it since they have a contact with Inoue for extras but it seems like they're gonna focus on Garo.

Next year is also Guyferd's 30th anniversary. Last time I checked, all of its episodes are subbed and uploaded to youtube.

How have the last few Omegas and Zeztz been? Friend I was watching with is in another country for a month, so I don't wanna watch ahead without him

A new article about the Maya Imamori situation was published today. Supposedly, Imamori's agency found out that she was working at a night club/lounge in Japan and did not disclose it. As a result, she breached her contract. So the rumored affair was apparently not the primary catalyst behind her firing.
Unsurprising that she'll get fired for that, even if it's a side-job. Being a regular in a kid's show only to work in a nightclub after that is obviously not going to look good for her.

So they're just replacing her and moving on like nothing happened? That's interesting.
Outside of a quick acknowledgement like this, yeah, they're just gonna move on.

It makes a lot sense when you think about it. They can retain as much footage as possible. From the back, you can easily say the two actresses look similar. They share the same suit actress for their transformed ranger forms. Most importantly, she's a veteran Sentai actor so she's accustomed to the grueling schedule Sentai has and especially these reshoots will be.
