I love a good tokusatsu scandal. Haven't had this much fun shitposting about some weab drama since Furuya killed his unborn kid. I feel like you could make a fun team entirely out of people who've been in a scandal at this point.

I hope they kill her off in some super over the top way like Yellow 4 in Bioman.

The contrast between how Japanese fans are taking it and how people outside the country are handling it is funny.

Most Japanese people are like "Well, she did sign a contract saying she wouldn't do anything illegal or scandalous. It sucks, but that's the job."

Everyone else "Fuck Toei! We'll boycot the show (that we're all pirating anyways)"

Toku twitter continues to be the weirdest, lamest bunch.

it's twitter they love to get mad at random shit, retarded westerns find out that Japan is a strict country. already seeing a few act racist towards japanese fans too saying the usual shit. I'm praying this means these retards leave the franchise alone.

I do get that it seems like a little thing for a company to fire people over, but I think it just kinda highlights how little job experience most of these people have. Any job beyond fast food or whatever has shit like this in their contracts. Things like not making an ass of yourself on social media, not getting arrested, etc. Not even "fancy" jobs either.

I think part of the backlash comes from the fact that Maya Imamori already faced a lot of opposition from the tabloids, presumably for her half-Filipino heritage, and this felt like an excuse to boot her off the show for racist reasons.

Of course, she still broke the law and put Toei in a bind, so while I don't necessarily approve of how quickly they're trying to act like Sumino never existed, I at least get why they're doing this.

A combination of that and the whole "she was fucking the stuntman" rumors. Not sure if they're baseless or not. Crazier scandals have happened.

also japanese mothers are kinda batshit crazy and would force toei to do something if they ever found out. toei had to act fast as theres kinda lot on the line given this is the "last" sentai series.

That's the weeb's dilemma. Glorious nippon is a safe, clean country. But at the same time, its only safe and clean because its populated by bugmen with a blind obedience to authority and respect for the law. I sincerely doubt most Americans, europeans or south Americans give a shit because an adult woman had a drink when she was 19 years and six months old instead of waiting those last six months to hit the legal drinking age.

This is complete bullshit. Very few Japanese fans even knew she was mixed race. Even the SEAniggers on Twitter had to admit to that.

This also ignores the fact that Sentai (and Rider for that matter) have had mixed race actresses with no scandals to speak of. The only people repeating this shit is English speakers, arguably the least informed group talking about this.

She got put to pasture cause she got in an affair with a married man, not racism. If the underage drinking seems likes a ridiculous reason to sack her, that's cause it is. Otherwise, the headlines would be, "lead actress in kids' show fired for sleeping with married man who played the main hero."

The moms could easily cause a stink. The particular risk is with the sponsors. Even if Sentai is actually killed (doubtful, likely a big rebrand), they still need sponsors and if Toei did something to piss off the moms (ie the main source of income buying the toys for kids) then they're dead in the water. Remember Abarekiller? He was originally going to be a villain throughout the entire series without a redemption and temporary membership of the team. Why didn't they do that? Cause moms were complaining to TV Asahi AKA the network Sentai airs on.

Literally the first ever female ranger was mixed race.

Lol, of course the retards have to push the narrative of "muh racism and sexism" as the reason for letting someone go instead of tackling the real reason: breaking the law in the first place. This is why I prefer interacting with some Japanese about their costumed heroes instead than the ones influenced by Western countries because they don't suddenly insert their politics or ideologies out of the blue.

lmao even kamiya is talking about it, in his previous post be basically shows that japanese people are unaware of the "racism" that may or may have not happened and see it as maya being unprofessional or kamiya is trolling westerners . people in the retweets are being normal about his take ofc. I think this is great, maybe these retarded faggots will finally figure out that toku and japanese media as a whole isn't for them :)
