I really getting sick and tired of suit recolors in kamen rider. Like holy fuck three series in a row with recolors. as for ex-aid itself well i am still not a fan of the suit designs, a little too cartoony and that belt is fucking sin. as for the medical/game angle is a bit odd. not going to lie i starting to fear how they going to handle the medical part of the show. i just hope they handle it with some tact and known when to be a serious medical drama and when it can be a wacky filled game hero show. that's all i ask, i don't want second bad rider show in a row.

Well Genmu is supposed to just be like Proto-Drive. A prototype version of Ex-Aid. Other than that, I don't believe Ex-Aid will be as bad as Ghost. I doubt it'll be handled as an actual medical drama like House or something like that. It's a kid's show first and foremost.

i just hope they find the right balance between the wacky and serious.
 
I'm getting a little bit of an Agito vibe from the drama parts, and a little Den-O from the action bits. Also, am I the only one hoping they go full Blackjack with the doctor parts?
 
judging from the trailer, its not going to be as goofy as i thought it would. its giving me hope but i still going to remain skeptic until the first episode drops.

Depends on what you're interested in. If you're wanting to try out Sentai, I highly recommend starting with Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. It's an anniversary season, so it'll let you cherry pick the previous seasons that seem interesting. Kamen Rider wise, I recommend Kamen Rider W as a starting point and then jumping to either the following Neo-Heisei series or going back and watching the older Heisei riders. For Showa I recommend Amazon, since it's only 24 episodes (Got cancelled because of extreme violence, like Amazon punches a head off a monster's body.) Basically I recommend these for newcomers.

Heisei: Kuuga, Agito, Blade (Turn Up Scrubs), and Kabuto
Neo-Heisei: W, OOO, Fourze, Gaim, and Drive
Showa: Amazon
 
And for Ultraman go with Max. A lot of people swear by Mebius but an anniversary series is probably not the best place to start. Last year's X was also great. I'm enjoying the hell out of the currently airing Orb, but that is also an anniversary series.

For Metal Heroes I would start with Space Sheriff Gavan, an incredible show. There is an Amazon Prime exclusive Rider, geared more toward adults called Kamen Rider Amazons. Now that show is one I'd wait to watch. It's only 13 episodes, but it suffers a lot toward the end. The main character makes some of the worst decisions I've ever seen. Luckily, season 2 is on the way next year. There's also an adult oriented series called GARO, which has several series and anime spinoffs. One last thing. Anything from Showa is incredible. Especially Skyrider and V3.

Stay away from Metalder if you cry easily. Man, to think God Neros seems a lot more threatening than Grimlord, and Grimlord also had the Spielban villains/weapons at his disposal!
 
Thanks for the suggestions you guys. I'll be sure to watch these shows whenever I can. I'm gonna start with Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger first, then go from there.

Production order is your friend with Garo, but if you really want to you can start with The One Who Shines in the Darkness or either anime season instead. Don't bother with Crimson Moon unless you're a completist. It is awful.

I agree. Avoid TV-Nihon like the plague. Unfortunately, you'll be forced to watch some of their series because they were the only ones to sub them. If you watch Gaim, SKIP TV NIHON they absolutely butchered it.Watching Hibiki? Butchered and untranslated. Blade? They fucked up a lot of dialogue that completely changed the story.
 
Those of you who don't like TV-Nihon, is it just because they leave honorifics and certain words untranslated? I know they can go overboard with special fonts for monsters and shit, but I always liked the fact that they don't try and rush out their subs in order to be first.

They don't really do that anymore, unless there's a pun or something that's hard to translate. I don't recognize that third screenshot, but of the other ones the most recent on there is from early 2010.
 
Okay did everyone shit themselves for Zyuohger today? Best team came back this week. I'm so happy. The Super Sentai Hero Getter sounds odd, but so did Now and Forever.

You forgot this fucking beauty. TVN is on bottom, Aesir is on top. Context wise, Sagara is giving Kouta his final power of the season in order to move the plot along. TVN butchered what he was saying, because Sagara isn't an antagonist.

what makes Tv-Nihon even worse is that they are consent. not many sub groups release on a weekly bases like them. hell some just vanish after a series ends like how vanished Aesir after gaim ended.
