I think that's correct, but SPD might also be an alternate timeline since it was meant to be established for a number of years now in the Prime universe.

I wouldn't be surprised if they go that route of SPD being a alternate universe. I would love them to clear that up in the future.

The first episode of Ultraman Blazar premiered today.
The titular Ultraman is an unhinged, tribal troglodyte that screams like an unhinged retard as he quite literally stomps in the same manner as an upset toddler then rips off a kaiju's arms, blood flying everywhere.
I have never been more excited by a first impression.
It's 100% free on YouTube, and still officially supports the franchise, so if you wanna see this shit go watch it.

After Trigger and Decker made me tune out for two years, seeing an Unga Bunga Ultraman made me giddy. Also helps his host was Heart in Kamen Rider Drive.
I love how Tsuburaya has blown Toei out of the water when it comes to international releases for their IPs.
EDIT: the reaction SEAmonkies have given to the show has been very negative. "Where is my bland Gaia remake?"
I fucking hate these subhumans. They ruin the Kamen Rider fanbase and they ruin the Ultraman fanbase. They cannot fathom other people didn't love Trigger and Decker (both soulless and wooden), so they whine about Blazar. Was the Unga Bunga shit a bit tiring? Maybe, but its leagues better than SMILE SMILE and the wooden prop they used for Decker's host.
TLDR: SEAs are subhumans who ruin everything they touch.

I really don't know why they can't do normal voice acting. The whole "let's have shit voice acting like in Power Rangers!" shtick is old and it immediately shows how the company wants the show to be perceived.
Just have normal voice acting and stop the corniness.

After how disappointing Trigger was and how safe Decker was, I'm pretty happy they didn't do a New Gen Gaia. Sure, a part of me wishes we got Ultraman Gayer and Ultraman Uglier. But, Gaia was my favorite of the TDG series, so there's no way they'd even come close to capturing that magic. Especially if they didn't have Konaka in the mix.

Blazar is fantastic so far though. It's such a breath of fresh air.
 
Blazar begin a cavemen and Gento begin a little schizo and murderous is gold. I like who Gento is complete "a-okay" in blowing mother fuckers or throw himself against GIANT MONSTERS to save people.

No wonder him and Blazar are compatible.
