Holy shit Grateful Soul is about everything I wanted it to be. Reminds me of Kuuga Ultimate and Blade King.

Also P-Bandai is really releasing some odd things. I mean Igor's Proto Mega Ulorder? It's literally just a remolded Mega Ulorder with less paint and no electronics. I've shelled out my sheckles for Ghost merch, but this is a no-go for me. Igor looks cool though.

How in God's name does that remind you of Kuuga Ultimate? The only thing they share in common is a base color. However, I agree with you on Blade King.

I meant by the color scheme. Design is more like Blade King, whereas the color scheme is Kuuga.

Actually to be fair, the color AND elongated pauldrons do remind one of Kuuga Ultimate, but not enough spikes or gold to be like Rising Ultimate.

Still loving Zyuohger. I was upset that they killed off the guy Jouji Nakata voices (I'm a sucker for him, the guy was Cowler and Bias, plus the guy he voices looks genuinely creepy, he's a cube with bad teeth), but
he came back to life! yay! It's too early to kill one of the main villains

One thing that I see popping up is Zyuohger fanfics shipping Yamato and either Sela or Amu. Okay. Gross, not because I disagree with the ships, but because Sela and Amu are animal human people, and that borders into bestiality. I guess the twelve year olds writing the fics think bestiality is totally kawaii!
 
If we've learned anything from the 2015-2016 Tokusatsu season it is the fact that Ghost dropped the ball big time. Puts it into perspective when you kill your main protagonist off four times. And then we have Amazons which pretty much was better from day one. Ghost needs to be over. It ran out of chances when they forced all personality into Alain. As much as I love his character, he CANNOT carry the show on his own. Reminds me of Wizard, where Kosuke pretty much carried the show to the end.
 
With Ghost, I have the impression they're making it by the seat of their pants. It just feels like they're running through various tropes to pad out the story arcs, with the show changing directions to follow new fancies.

As I said in the past, Drive never impressed me. It was constantly good, never great and the quality didn't vary much. But it's looking like a fucking masterpiece beside this year's offering.

What's your opinion on Amazons? Because that's a fucking triumph compared to Ghost.
 
Pretty good. Not caught up on it but it's a good watch and I hope they do more mature riders after season 2 is over. Reminds me of what I loved about the early Heisei era.
 
Ghost just needs to end already, it just dragging its feet by this point. they hit all the major plot points too fast like Makoto has barley anything worth dame since she got his sister back. He basically become a background randy for most of the show now. While I like Alain( his Mega Ulorder's Sound design is sex to my ears), he get snubbed quite a bit like i am bitter that he wasn't the main focus for episode 34 and 35. I mean come on the Grimms are one of his signature forms. but no sideline him instead of continuing his arc. just give it to Takeru he not doing much. and don't get me started on Igor that ass just needs to go away. Well at least Zyuohger is good.

To the writers, Alain already finished his character arc. Alain's arc was probably the best thing about Ghost. There were actual feels when he ran to Grandma Fumi with his art supplies only to find her dead. We can only hope Ex-Aid ends up being good. It seems to be video game inspired from the trademarks, so hopefully they can do something cool with that.

holy shit, those suits suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. how do they keep making the design suck more then the last. like christ Ghost was a mild step with the rider suit, but the monster are fucking trash. then they just keep getting more lazy. Ex-aid is the first rider were i actively hard all the main suit. i thought Drive had some weak to lame designs, mach was garage, type speed and wild were the suits main guy that didn't look dumb at first glance, Chaser was my favorite out of the three riders. Hell I like some of the roidmude designs quite a bit. Heart was my favorite until they painted him gold. the gaudy gold really didn't work for the designs. but i still give it go since i've been become a fan of kamen rider in recent years. BUT i also expecting a lot of stupid and forced gamer talk.

I don't know. We always harp on how awful the suits look when they're first revealed. It happened during Gaim and it happened during Drive. I'll wait until we get TV magazine scan images of the suits and the actual show starts before I judge the suits entirely. From these scans, I quite like Brave RPG Gamer and Shooting Sniper Gamer.
