The Zero-One movie is out with subs, it's far better than the latter half of the show.
Eh, the only real hurdle was the dumb competition arc where one side was blatantly cheating and the other never called him out on it.

I am enjoying Saber, though his final form is fucking god awful.

Zenkaiger I was saving to watch then the series was over, but a hard drive death killed my media drive. Not gone back to download it all, which is harder now that O-T has wiped all memory of it.

Recently streaming on Amazon Prime, I caught notable toku choreographer and director Koichi Sakamoto's "BLACKFOX: Age of the Ninja", released in 2019 as a live-action tie-in prequel to an anime film. Sakamoto has worked on numerous toku franchises, Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Super Sentai and Power Rangers as well as some live action films, he was action choreographer for the 1997 direct-to-video cult hit "Drive", starring Mark Dascasos, and directed "Broken Path", an very violent martial arts DTV film starring Johnny Yong Bosch and Daniel Southworth.

This number, starring Chihiro Yamamoto from Geed , which Sakamoto worked on, directed the "The Movie" installment of, etc. well, the outfits and the fight scenes in this mother are through the roof.

I disagree. Zero-One peaked early, the first 14 episodes or so were kino but then Gai comes in and everything's kind of frustrating and nonsensical but in none of the good ways.
Like Gai's character insists that cheating is bad once only for him to cheat every other episode and do blatantly evil shit on national TV only to get away for free like you mentioned. And then there's the fucking dog redemption. MetsubouJinrai members not named Jin and Horobi getting ditched was pretty bad too, as was Fuwa's backstory getting retconned into oblivion. Yua too, all the hints at her character being interesting getting nuked from orbit was really boring.
Other than that it was pretty good, but I have too many issues with it to call it more than a 7/10 season with really nice special effects for Kamen Rider standards.

I don't like Zenkaiger as much as Kiramager, but it does have its charm.

Biggest laugh out of me was Stacey jumping over the fence right after everybody left.

What about the reenactment of Jetman's ending?
I haven't watched Jetman. Its on my list, but I need to finish Carrangers first.

Speaking of Carrangers, I just finished the episode where the inciting incident involved a Bowzock cutting in front of the Red Ranger in line to buy Zonette lunch. That episode was followed by the episode that premiered (and may be the only use of) the english Carrangers theme.

Wild.

Finally finished Carrangers. I wasn't a fan of the big bad who shows up in the last 25% of the season, but I'm glad the villain switch gave the Bowzock a chance to put their collective incompetence to good use for a change. And the fucking Animal House style ending in the finale just cracked me up.

Gonna be watching Gridman the Hyperagent next because I was crazy about Superhuman Samurai Cyber Squad as a kid and it just came out in a beautiful blu-ray set. (seriously, why is ultraman shit the only thing getting decent home releases in america?)

Episode 24 of Zenkaiger was the best one yet. The monster casts a vacation spell on everybody and they spend like 20 minutes playing beach games. Its so utterly bizarre and low stakes I love it. I would post the whole watermelon chase scene if it wasn't so damn long. Instead, here's a one-second video of Flint screaming.

Yesterday, Toei posted the final episode of Thutmose on its youtube channel. I know its been available illicitly for awhile, but now you can watch it legally and at your leisure. Sadly, only the first two episodes are subbed, but the whole series is fucking insane. Hopefully, a fansub group picks it ups at one point.

The first Revice episode is out. Not much about it stands out, the antagonists seem fun and everything about them makes them look like Mexican Devilman, but for little kids. They're also aiming for a buddy dynamic with the main character and his inner demon and I'm a sucker for those. The choreography and special effects weren't particularly good, but it's serviceable stuff. Overall it seems okay, better than Saber (but then again what isn't?) but Momotaro 2.0 won't shut the fuck up. It's okayish as a first episode but if Vice keeps being the Japanese equivalent of a TOTALLY RADICAL quippy Marvel superhero this shit will quickly become unbearable.

I like Revice is going back to the old formula of the monsters forming a contract with the humans ala Den-O, W, OOO etc. The entire second half of saber featured like no monsters and it was every rider fighting for themselves. Looking forward to seeing more of Revice. I miss those old two part tales where it would focus on a monster for 2 weeks and a guest star

So it turns out the Yodonna spin-off was just an hour long sizzle reel for some stuntman business. It was weird seeing a power ranger villain snapping necks, shattering kneecaps and getting into a goddamn gunfight with yakuza, but whatever. The fights were cool, even if the story and special effects* were lacking.

*the cgi blood spurts look like something out of Birdemic

The second Revice episode is out. I'm really not enjoying it too much, I'll give it about 5 episodes before I make my final judgement. So far everything is happening at the speed of greased lightning to shove in two fights in one episode, as a result I can't really be bothered to care for anything because the human characters get about 2 minutes worth of talking before OH SHIT TOY SELLS NOW NOW NOW.

The brief drama they did try to peddle is not good at all, Ikki spergs out and drops his resolve to stay at home doing fuck all in the span of 30 seconds.

Vice is still the worst and I think he's made a grand total of 1 decent bit. The CGI finisher was so fucking awful and it went on for so long it was hard not to stare at it in horror.

It's just too full of shit happening and none of it is interesting until the final scenes of the episode. Meh/10.

When I saw him change forms I was like huh that looks like W, then he said the count up your wings instead of sins. Next week's form looks based of Den-O, which I think is a pretty cool gimmick for form changes. The demon is pretty annoying though, I'll give it a few more before deciding if I really like it
