This showed up in my recommends just yesterday, hard to believe its been two years already. Hope god is treating you well after all that programming you did for him you crazy bastard.
 
Linus Tech tips is a useless shill faggot, and he recently dishonored Terry by making the worst and most uninformed review I have ever seen

He never knows what's going on and his assistant helps him the whole time. In fact his assistant is legitimately more interesting than him. Fuck Linus.

 
I liked how somebody could get him into a technical conversation and he could snap out of the deepest world salad mode to show off his knowledge and actually make sense and hold a proper technical conversation, like that part of his brain wasn't directly affected or something. Schizophrenia is fucked up.

To be fair to him it's possible he was just in awe of temple OS and didn't know how to put his feelings into words. This happens to the best of us.

Some of the most heartbreaking scenes from the Down The Rabbit Hole episode about TempleOS were the scenes where Terry was speaking people irl about some pretty full-on technical concepts.


He was so lucid and brilliant when he was in that zone. Unfortunately, that brilliance had a very high price attached. I recall Terry saying something about how he felt his meds blunted his abilities as a programmer, or words to that effect. It may even be in that Down The Rabbit Hole episode.

I need to watch the whole thing again very soon.
 
2 years. Somehow it feels like it's been both insanely long since he passed away, at at the same time it's like it might've happened yesterday. I still find myself wishing it wasn't true.

Rest in peace King Terry. You truly were the smartest programmer that ever lived.

I wish, but he genuinely just has no idea what temple OS is and it's only irritating because he's supposed to be a "BIG TECH GURU" and gets paid out the ass to do videos like this.

They should have just put him in a room where he could lock everyone out and do whatever the fuck he wanted and paid him six figures on top of that. Now apparently only utterly worthless troons incapable of producing anything get those do-nothing gigs. Something like Xerox PARC in the '70s where he'd probably have just randomly discovered some amazing shit if merely left alone to his own devices.

Honestly, I think Anthony is wasting his potential being a part of Linus' team. He only appears in 1/20 of the videos released, and he knows his shit the best from the entire team, while Linus knows fucking nothing and is only a big ol' pretty celebrity and most of his crew is just awful.

Riley and James are incredibly annoying, even more than Linus, and Alex is awfully milquetoast. His ThinkPad review was just horrible. Suggesting to remove a feature from a device which is one of the few (if not the only) reasons that device are still popular? Who thought that was good to publish?

One other person that I can respect in LMG is Taran for his sheer dedication to complex autistic video editing macro setups. But Anthony is the one shiny gem that has been thrown into a big steaming pile of shit that is Linus Media Group. He should start his own channel making some truly interesting content on his own.

but also in their contracts they can't make videos for their personal channels that is tech related without LMG approval as far as i'm aware.
