there will possibly be a balance update for terraria, as lots of people in this thread have claimed that the balance sucks ass, they are showing currently that they will be buffing early game mage

"All that said, you probably came here for a little spoiler, right? Obviously, early game Mage is a space where there have been few options since the release of Terraria..."

Oh finally they are doing something to the gem staffs, those pieces of shit weren't even useful on the old classic times, magechuds we are so back.

Hope they add more magic weapons to the game.

I always thought it was weird that Mage is the only class that needs to worry about an actual resource. Melee is infinite, Summoner is infinite once they're all summoned. Ranger is techincally limited... But bullets are so cheap you are never without a full stack most the time, even easier with arrows. Mage is the only class that has to worry about Mana, and Mana Sickness on top of that.

It could be fun to give the other classes this treatment. Melee sword beams and other effects now require mana to be used and can't just be spammed. Guns now have clips and must reload after you run out of ammo, bows now need to be drawn first. Summoner is fine because that's the whole point of the minion cap, and whips got nerfed too. I'm sure this would not go over well with most people though.

Back when the game was in his infancy every class had a resource, the warrior was his health, the ranger has bullets and mage had mana, this was mostly ok till the avenue of hardmode where melee got hard countered because due to the way of how the game is, being at range and shooting is just plain better wich is why a lot of melee weapons in hardmode shoot projectiles, it was a bandaid to the issue of the melee combat just sucking past the prehardmode and a lot of hardmode enemies and bosses being downright untouchable (like the twins), people barely gave a shit because classes where mostly equal in terms of power, fast foward now and melee can just do everything with the previous 2 classes barely getting anything new that is worthwhile.

Summon was a mage weapon at first to offer support DPS to the mage, wich was ok because having a pet that attacked was a novelty and helped the other classes too to have something to deal with the annoying background enemies while you focused on the boss or exploration, in my opinion they should have stayed as that, a support tool, with trinkets focusing on the combination of minion and x class. But it seems that at some point in development they really wanted to force it into a class and to this day they are still trying to make it into a thing only to just make melee again but worse.

So the 2 original classes are suffering in the corner as melee gets gigabuffed because is the main dev favourite class and they wasting time still trying to make summoner feel like a class. Thrower had better chances to cook something interesting, it followed the resource philosophy they had in the early days, they could have made a class who's main power comes from the accesories themselves and the ammo is whatever shit you have in your inventory but i guess that doesnt sound as cool as a flying furry troon wolf minion.

I'm glad the pushback against the dogshit state of mage at least reached them to the point of...

Doing the same sins they've always committed and doing fucking feature creep once again, adding gimmicks to mage attacks instead of addressing basic stat issues. Which will take this update at least a year or more to finish. Thanks guys.

I'm hoping mage gets better though for real. It's absurd how neglected it is.

So with Calamity and Thorium having a huge tranny infestation, what are some good mods I can check out?
None of the content mods I'm afraid. They're either all tranny-infested fag sandboxes, full of badly drawn anime girls, or both, because coming up with this shit requires being on the far end of functioning autism spectrum, and lgbt tendencies go with autism hand in hand, like niggers and violent crime.
