It isn't dead, such a dumb thing to say over developers being what they have always been. And for some autists like me it will never die. Terraria is one of the greatest (A?)RPGs of this millenium. You can still play older and better versions and mod it into a better game. They should really just make Terraria 2 instead of this feature creep bullshit. The dev team were always faggots. I called them such when they disowned the cool stuff ENGINE Software or whoever did for the console and og mobile ports. Never forget what was taken from us... 1000321690.jpg

What do you consider a better version? I recently went back to modded 1.1.2 and it's not nearly as nostalgic as I expected it to be.
The smart cursor, the in-game menu, zooming, being able to see all the things you can craft and various other features make the game so much nicer it's impossible to play without them and not get exhausted. I think I'm fine with the latest version. The only modern feature I hate is town pets. They're useless and you're forced to free onee once you enter the dungeon or else the annoying wooden chest will keep spawning over and over. The other pets (equippable ones) are also mostly useless.

1.2, specifically the console and old mobile versions.
 
1.3.4 and later versions feel like a pointless content bloat. And it seems like its only going to get worse

If I have to guess, the reason they still focus on Terraria rather than working on Terraria 2 is due to how much of a failure Otherworld was for them. Probably not coming out anytime soon

Minecraft has mods to restore the feel or spirit of older versions, I wonder if terraria will ever get mods like that to cut the bloat and preserve some new gameplay content like items, bosses, or modes. But Terraria modding is focused towards a different thing so I don't see it happening, at least not yet.

I remember beating Ocram on Terraria mobile, a shame they decided to scrap him, he was one of my favorite fights.

To be honest I wouldn't be suprised if the allegations are false and transphobia was the crime all along, given how much of a tranny hugbox the subreddit is.

Curious what this "transphobia" is, and why that's up there with pedophilia. I'm more surprised that the guy with the drunk princess self insert wasn't pro-trans. From the little I know of the Calamity inner workings, Fabsol was a pretty tough dude to work with, but if anything the mod is probably in worse hands now. Making the exposure document private is a bit strange too.

I just wish that when modded Terraria came up, Calamity wasn't the one thing people talked about. Its decent, but you'd think it was the greatest thing ever based on how people talk about it.

UPDATE: The document has been unprivated and the contents are free for everyone to see.

Points of note: The document starts out with the actually important stuff, however only 12 pages are actually dedicated to it before it goes off the rails and starts talking about personal/political grievances with Fab. 26 entire pages are dedicated to showcasing Fabsol being mean to the Calamity community and other misc people, that's more than double the amount spent showcasing the actual serious shit.

The document states that apparently, Fabsols "transphobia" was the thing that sparked this entire thing, not the nsfw server with minors in it, but rather his thoughts on transgender bathrooms, lovely set of priorities we have going on here. Of course there's the argument that people simply weren't aware or didn't remember the server until this statement went up, but why the hell did it take Fabsol saying he didn't like the idea of trans women/men going in women/mens bathrooms to jog your memory and get you to say something? Was the whole minors being exposed to porn thing not enough?

9 pages are spent documenting Fabsols opinion on the Covid-19 vaccine, it doesn't even call him anti vax, it calls it "vaccine skepticism". As if it's suddenly a crime on par with pedophilia to simply be skeptical of new medicine.

Overall takeaway?: While the pedophile/grooming stuff does seem to be serious, it's important to note that alot of the time spent on that section is spent looking at other peoples testimony. one of the most damning screenshots of him isn't even in the pedophilia section, it's in the section about him being a creep, a section mostly dedicated to him just making sexual jokes. That's not even taking into account that some of these screenshots could be faked.

Overall, while I'm glad that the whole NSFW server thing has come to light, I'm very much not impressed with the document, as even the stuff dedicated to the server itself mostly shows testimony. I know for a fact there are other screenshots of Fab acting inappropriately in that server or elsewhere because I've seen them myself (Don't have them saved or on me right now, but one I saw was him saying something along the lines of "I was horny as hell when I was 16, so can't relate." Why the fuck wasn't THAT in the document?

If any of you guys wanna do more digging, go for it, but try your best not to let your Tranny Derangement Syndrome get in the way of actual investigation for the love of god.

I took a look at the documents. Apart from groomer evidence they also rip on him for all the classics: transphobia, trump supporter, doesn’t think colonialism is the evilest thing ever, among other things.
